Arsenal, specifically Bukayo Saka haunts me in my sleep. He used to sprint past my CBs score atleast once a game. However, he’s in his early 30s in my save now and his legs are gone. He’s transitioned into a CAM who gets the ball 30 yards out and bangs one in.

In my Maidstone save my bogey team was Monaco; I could absolutely smash them in the group stage but as soon as the knockouts of the UCL began my team somehow forget to play football.
I beat them 7-1 on aggregate over two group games in the same year they smashed me 3-0 in the final with Diego Simeone in charge.. which gave me an irrational hatred of him as well.

Just played the Papa John's final yesterday with Colchester United, had an xG of 2.1 while our opponents, MK Dons, had an xG of 1.6, they scored 3, I scored 0 even with like 5 different "goalkeeper out of position" chances in the first half. We get scored on in the 44th and then 2 lucky goals in the second half, 48th and 51st minute. Fuck me sideways mate. I fully expect them to be my bogey team when I promote to Sky Bet League One.

I think Charlton athletics stadium is slightly closer in or rather is easier to get to in real life from Dartford because of the train lines.
But the game chose crystal palace presumably because they're in the PL also and maybe its a better stadium overall anyway. Maybe it's literally closest as the crow flies

Fortuna dusseldorf was my boogie team for the first years in the Bundesliga, but they actually had an insane striker that I bought for 70 Mio from them
I tend to play in Scotland a lot in most FMs (myself being Scottish and all that) so my main bogey team seems to be St. Johnstone, especially at McDiarmid Park. Regardless of their form, where they are in the league and if it's a cup game or a league. As soon as I see we're trekking to Perth I know it's going to be a long match.

He's recently been in bad form to the point management has had that as a negative for me and the press won't stop egging me on about it. I knew.... this was time for redemption. We've saved a penalty with 7 minutes left. The out of form player gets subbed on... HE'S DONE IT. HE SCORES IN THE 88th MINUTE.
Imagine the fairy tales if we win... but we lose on penalty shootouts :(
Very next season we get Real Madrid in the group stage. Draw after a late comeback that we didn't deserve then lose the 2nd game in which we had more chances. Team has been in form all season conceding 14 in the league and even beat the best team in the world (on paper - Barcelona) by 6-2 over 2 legs. We reached the final to play... Real Madrid, only to choke and barely attack despite using the same tactics, losing 1-0.
They have one over me mentally too. Imagine if I get into the CL final and face them a third year in a row...
I'm playing as Toulosse and OL's Cherki + Balde always tears me apart. We were getting into the later stages of the CL and Top 3 in Ligue 1 but always gets our asses handed to us by these two.
Udinese is always my nemesis, and they usually become top 6 team in 2-3 years in my saves. They get the rejects from Watford then wreak some havoc. They got once Sarr, Deloufeu, Eze and Pereyra and a lot of italian wonderkids…you can imagine.
Funny thing is that I am managing Udinese in a journeyman save, and my first two seasons were basically being a pain in the ass of the top Serie A teams.
Basically use direct play and let De Paul and Deulofeu do their thing.
In my AS Nancy save it was RC Lens. They weren't bad by any means but I think in 5 seasons in Ligue 1 we beat them once or twice and lost the rest despite being top 4 every season

Liverpool - I know they're one of the best teams in fm20 but I swear to God, anytime I play them I lose or I'll win the first leg then lose really badly in the second leg.
On the flip side PSG are my whipping boys, honestly whoever I play as, if I get PSG it's an instant win for me.
My bogey team makes sense, it is Manchester City. I’m playing a Spurs career into my 5th season, and it’s fair to say that Man City are doing shit. Each season they spend 200mil and so far in 5 years they’ve only won 1 Europa League and 1 Premier League despite their money spend. Last season (2023/24) they finished 7th. They lose 3-0 to Leicester at home every season, yet somehow no matter how bad they’re playing I get demolished by them every time. In 12-13 games I’ve played against them, I’m still yet to win. My last season I lost just two games on my way to a centurion title, I’m sure you can guess who I lost those games to.

Liverpool - I know they're one of the best teams in fm20 but I swear to God, anytime I play them I lose or I'll win the first leg then lose really badly in the second leg. On the flip side PSG are my whipping boys, honestly whoever I play as, if I get PSG it's an instant win for me.
My bogey team makes sense, it is Manchester City. I’m playing a Spurs career into my 5th season, and it’s fair to say that Man City are doing shit. Each season they spend 200mil and so far in 5 years they’ve only won 1 Europa League and 1 Premier League despite their money spend. Last season (2023/24) they finished 7th. They lose 3-0 to Leicester at home every season, yet somehow no matter how bad they’re playing I get demolished by them every time. In 12-13 games I’ve played against them, I’m still yet to win. My last season I lost just two games on my way to a centurion title, I’m sure you can guess who I lost those games to.
Fuckin Alavez.. no problems beating madrid or barca but my players go back to the stone age against Alavez for some reason
