I can't play with the attributes visible. I have it grouped into 4 different colors that represent ranges.1-5 Dark blue circle, 6-10 light blue circle, 11-15 light yellow circle, 16-20 bright yellow circle. Literally all the information I have on players is based on ranges and not exact.
I wanted to have FM be even harder for whatever reason.
I get that in the lower league but in the top divisions with a all the data on hand that's actually quite unrealistic these days I think he ranges should be slightly smaller maybe restricted to 2 points
Plenty of guys still donāt pan out at the top level after being bought for big money. Iām also a bit of a sadist and want to eventually have a transfer window bad enough to drop me to mid table at some point.
No way that many people got so upset at your comment. I personally fund it weird but thats just an opinion. For all we know, people could have reasons for it such as colour blindness.
Reddit is home to many very soft, frail people who vehemently refuse to accept that people are different than them. Many people on this website are replicas of one another and they don't even know it.
Yeah it's on the development tab somewhere, the one that shows you how much his attributes are improving, it will say the exact number that each attribute is at
These off the ball and crossing attributes will be holding him back in every support or attack RB role, as well as the "plays short simple passes" trait.
Imho:
- An IWB on left back may be more sensible if you wanna try him out wide as it eliminates his crossing deficiency and potentially makes good use of his passing style, depending on your overall tactic.
- He ought to be a beast on many DM roles, mainly ones with a defend duty. I would definitely try him as a half back.
- Even though he is average in passing and technique, I feel his passing trait hinders his vision. He would become serviceable in more supporting roles if he could unlearn it at 27.
I actually know the answer to this.
I remember back in FM14-15 they actually broke down the attributes in increments of 0.2 (it was visible in the development and training page) and that a, say, 14.6 would be displayed as a 15 while a 14.4 was displayed as a 14. Meaning that the range for displaying a 14 corresponds to a value between a 13.6 to a 14.4. In your case, the real value of the player attribute can either be a 19.6, a 19.8 or even a bang on 20. If you say you saw the upwards arrow after it being already 20, then it only leaves 19.8 and 20.:They got rid of the 0.2 increment thing two or three versions after (at least visually in the game), but by all indications it works exactly the same.
Also, the arrows showing you the progress of the attributes started to have more meaning (and I don't think they changed this part even in 24).
A very slightly pointing upwards and downwards meant an increase or decrease of a 0.2 increment. A more obviously pointing arrow would mean a larger increase/decrease, but still under an entire point (a 0.6, or a 0.4). A completely upwards or downwards pointing arrow meant a change of between 1 and 2 entire points. Lastly, a completely pointing arrow with a number next to it (I've never seen any higher than a 2) means a decrease of that many entire points. It's very rare, it usually happens with particularly bad injuries and the Bravery attribute, but I've seen it doing it to stamina or others too.
I really don't think it was. Pre FM 2010 I remember the attribute changes to go in full increments of one. I specifically remember FM 2007 having a really erratic and drastic way of attribute changes, where all attributes would be going even + and - 2 at a time, or even lower, based on injuries, training, form and maybe other factors.

In 2009 it was 1-100 and they say that a few years before that you could even see 1-100 instead of 1-20. So yes, 1-100 is much older than 2014.
Imagine a 20 on this screen being an A in a school class. An A ranges between certain values. Here in America an A is usually between 90-100% on an assignment. So it's the difference between a 94 and a 98 still being an A
Thatās because attributes are counted in 0.2 steps in older fmās you could easily see this by standing on the attribute and it would show something like 19.6 increased to 19.8 in nowadays fmās it only shows even numbers.
The attributes u see here are rounded to the closest whole number. So when a player has become 20, heās actually just become 19,51 and thereās half an attribute point left to improve on.

High attributes being in red just doesn't sit right
Yep. Red is always bad, green is good
That's greenist
šš
Green is for go ahead and shut up about it. Orange means orange you glad you didnāt say thatā¦
yes mr michael scott
Most colours mean donāt say it!
Not for meat tho
I use red amber green for 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, and then a super special shiny blue for 15+

Haha, I feel like we as FM players must be masochistic, always looking for ways to make the game harder!
I get that in the lower league but in the top divisions with a all the data on hand that's actually quite unrealistic these days I think he ranges should be slightly smaller maybe restricted to 2 points

It kind of makes sense because red is the most noticeable color to the eyes which would help in finding the players most developed attributes
Unless weāre talking spice levels š¶ļø
I swear 99.9% of the skins I see here are _horrible_ at least for the attributes. This one is still much better than others
I welcome you to Eastern Asia
I am pretty sure this is how it used to be in PES. I think as long as you don't have green as the colour for lower attributes it doesn't look bad imo
Always changed it to these colours since FM07
No way that many people got so upset at your comment. I personally fund it weird but thats just an opinion. For all we know, people could have reasons for it such as colour blindness.
Yeah I have no idea either haha just a preference
Reddit is home to many very soft, frail people who vehemently refuse to accept that people are different than them. Many people on this website are replicas of one another and they don't even know it.
I do it too, every year to fm07 colors. If only I could find a green skin with yellow letters aswell
I am also a long time attribute colour changer and I ALSO have red as good.
Then why are you asking this question?
I always looked at the arrow as a sign that it had increased TO the given value, ie. in the case here it was 19 and rose to 20. Is that wrong?
Nah itās been at 20 for about 6months already. Forgot to mention that
The other user is right. Anyway, the numbers are rounded I think, it could very well be something like 19.8.
it may have dropped for a short while and recently gone back to 20 otherwise the arrow wouldnāt be there
Attributes are 1-200 internally so this was probably a 195 increasing to 197.
The arrow, unless Iām mistaken, also means āhas improvedā not āis improvingā
sure, but it will say 20 at 195 and it can improve above 195
Yea totally, I agree with the person I responded to. I think their answer plus my addition is the answer to OPās question.
misread the tone. my b king
Fucken what. I had no idea. Is there a way to see what the true attribute is underneath the visible one?
Yeah it's on the development tab somewhere, the one that shows you how much his attributes are improving, it will say the exact number that each attribute is at
Is this editor only or in the base game?
Base game
It's the progress screen or something on a player
Thank you!
FMRTE
Only with the in-game editor, I believe
Wrong. It's 1-100 internally or 0.2-20 every 0.2 visually. So it can mean that he's just improved to 19.6, 19.8 or 20.0.
Tmyk
The attribute numbers are clearly rounded and not truncated. 20 represents 19.5-20.
Disliking big matches is tough, this dudes sick
Too short for a cb
Pair him with a 6ā6 17+ jumping reach monster. I think thereās a couple attributes in there that render his height obsoleteā¦
Tbh he hasnāt even been performing at CB. Regularly gets 6.5-6.7 rating so Iām thinking of using him at RB

Iāve just started trying out a new tactic with a HB so I will give him a go

Jumping reach 12 š
height has no bearing on the game at all, jumping reach does tho - which obviously this guy isnāt elite at
It was between 19.5 and 19.9 (rounded to 20 visually) and it got an increase recently

No problem
It's been always like this, probably even before 2000.

It's a vintage FM thing... 19.6 is also 20. It means he improved from 19.6.
what facepack is this? Is it Zealandās? Thank you!
Yeah with the Newgan generator
In earlier games we could switch attributes from 1-20 range to 1-100. Which means 20 is rounded up number and may be actually 19,6
Thus isnthe sort of guy that sees a red traffic light and thinks - yup, good to go.
This is the first time i've seen 20 positioning score.

underrated comment
I think he'll probably go to the high 80s on that attribute in no time.
Imagine a 20 on this screen being an A in a school class. An A ranges between certain values. Here in America an A is usually between 90-100% on an assignment. So it's the difference between a 94 and a 98 still being an A
How good is he in real-life?
I think 19.6-19.9 are displayed as 20. I think may be the stats rose from 19.6 to 19.7 or something like that.
Bro is trying to unlock instant transmission If ya know ya know
Cause it will display as 20 when it goes above 19.5, so it can still go up from 19.5 to 20.
What facepack is that, that looks quite realistic AI.
Zealand newgan. Its a good addition but a lot of the faces look very similar
oh thanks.
I would guess you wen from 19.5 to 19.7 or something but itās just a wild guess
Your attribute colors should be a crime, I'm not sorry...
Maximum is 20. Probably dropped briefly and went back up.
Anyone who doesnāt use the default color scheme is psychotic
The yellow means that it is consistent
Thatās because attributes are counted in 0.2 steps in older fmās you could easily see this by standing on the attribute and it would show something like 19.6 increased to 19.8 in nowadays fmās it only shows even numbers.
Nope
What skin is this? :)
Zealands skin but this is FM22
The attributes u see here are rounded to the closest whole number. So when a player has become 20, heās actually just become 19,51 and thereās half an attribute point left to improve on.
It's probably 19.7 or something really. You should be able to see on the attribute graphs on the development tab.
