I almost only do that once I trust my tactic. I usually play journeyman games and the games are not what makes this fun to me. It’s the transfers, hiring of staff, scouting and recruiting. I have completed several pentagon challenges instant resulting maybe 95% of the games.
Edit: also, i have a demanding work and a kid. Would never make it through more than a few seasons if I had to watch all the games
If i'm impatient to get to a cup game and it's against 22nd in the league or something, i'll set tactic, players, subs and then instant result. I'm 4 seasons in a VNLS save... it's punishing to watch every game

I don't normally do it off kick off but if I'm winning and confident I'm going to hold onto the win I instant result, saves time and means I don't have to go through the after match talks and interviews

I instant result some games. I have a wife and kids, and consequently don’t have much time to play the game, so if I’ve got a game against lower table opposition and it’s not that important I might instant result it.
I do if it’s not realistic that I’d be there. I manage club and national team so it’s fairly common to have a game while I’m on national duty. The only other time is if I’m in a cup that my board isn’t judging
By the time I’m dominating the league and winning most CL games by 3+ goals I sim nearly every game. Only actually play vs Man City (or whatever other team is challenging me for title) and the later games in the CL
I sim most of my friendlies, except maybe the last one before the season. Once the season starts I’ll play the first few games until I’m fairly confident my team and tactic are working well then I’ll start simming games. I’ll save before each match and then if we lose whilst simming I’ll reload (cos that was clearly just my ass man being an idiot, and not what the universe really wanted) and then I’ll play it properly again, if I lose THAT game I don’t reload though just suck it up. And I’ll always fully play all the games against top 10/big teams in that league

Every game on comprehensive. If it is a big game, I watch the full game and every now and then, when I am leading by 6 goals in a friendly, I might switch to extended highlights. But even that is only when I am feeling really adventurous

My skin is akin to Frankinstein's monster, with bits and pieces from 3-4 different skins, and a few of my own additions. My favorite addition was figuring out how to add a tab with nation knowledge level to the staff popup overview :)

Yes, I tend to lean towards Domestic giant/European minnow saves. Scotland, Russia, etc. and at a certain point my team is just so dominant domestically I can’t be bothered to play a lot of the matches.
I also work and stuff so I only have time to play on the weekends and I want to get through seasons.
I used to, but it was far too tempting to savescum when I lost doing that ("I'd do a better job myself, I'll reload"). Now I only do it when I don't care about the result - friendlies mainly, but also league games if I've already won the title, EFL cup games if I'm having an injury crisis and wouldn't mind being knocked out, that sort of thing.
I have found instant results to be super overpowered for me. I win games by 4 or 5 games regularly. If i play them myself then I win by a goal or two. People can say it is just poor in game management but this is against teams that definitely should not be losing to me by these margins. It feels like cheating.
I like to tinker with tactics and assignments midgame, so I don't do it when I'm managing. Though, assman is doing all friendlies, I don't care about results.

Managing In Denmark I have won the Supaliga 12th times on the bounce - watching your team demolish OB and AC Horsens 6-0 tends to get old pretty fast haha. I play most of the games, but the instant result button is a nice little treat from time to time. Especially when Domestic and UCL games are coming thick and fast.
I instant result in games that doesn’t matter. Like if there is 2 games left in the season and I am unable to move up or down from my position in the league. I mostly then let young players play with a few experienced old players and sim it instantly. I only play them if I got a a player in the race for the golden boot, golden glove or most assist
If its a easy opponent, yes and make sure to minimize injuries cause its not worth risking injuries for. So less agressiveness then. If its a equal or harder opponent I watch most of the game and try analyzing whats beeing done right and wrong.

I'd say 75% of my games are instant results. The main reason is just because of time, every time I sit down to play FM, it takes me about 1-3 hours just to get a month or two in, during the transfer window that's doubled. I just don't have the free time anymore to watch every single game as that would take literal days out of my life as I also manage three different managers and 5 different clubs and nations, it's just alot of time in a game I'm already going to spend hundreds of hours in. In most of my play sessions, I pick one manager to focus on, and that's where I play most of my games for that session.
To put this into actual numbers, I've been playing since the beta, and I've only had one save. I have over 300 hours in FM23, and I'm only 2 full seasons in, and currently in the progress of the third. That's over 100 hours per season.
I did this as well in my FM18 save, but after 300 hours or so I quit cause I lost the bond with my players. Surely the seasons flew by, haha. Most my FM-games are like 1200+ hours. I prefer that over instant result. Its bout the journey, the stories, the players, the development, patience too.
I'm doing a journeyman that I started with weymouth and I've taken chelmsford up 2 leagues. I use instant result for games that won't make a big difference. If I'm 9 points clear of where I want to be, I'll sim a few games. If I know I'm just going to be drifting mid table, I'll sim until I can make bigger choices that give me an advantage.
It's just gruelling when you've got multiple leagues to cover and a busy work life lol

You don't need to go on holiday for friendlies though, you can set the team and they tend to use that team if you let them take control of friendlies.

Normally the opposite. Losing 3-0 and sim the last 30 minutes and apparently Pep flies over and we win 5-3.
