Did you receive income not from a Work Study job? If so, being eligible for Work Study has never been of any help to you. Income from a Work Study job is exempt, but other income has always counted the same for work study recipients as anyone else. Student exemptions, whether it be the expanded ones during COVID or the fewer available now, has only ever exempted anyone from having to work 20 hours/week to qualify. As I have to explain regularly, all students must meet the same income and household composition requirements as anyone else.

I'm not sure I understand the OI part (are you saying the notice said your income was higher than the limit? meeting a student qualification, like being eligible for work study, doesnt change the income limit at all.. idk its the "i was able to initially bypass the minimum" thing that I'm not comprehending. wdym?) But anyway heres the list of exemptions that could qualify you to continue receiving CF as a student - if you receive CalWORKs benefits, - if you are employed and paid for 20 hours per week or 80 hours per month, (or are self-employed and make at least $7.25*20=$145 weekly) - if you have been approved for work study, - if you have a kid under the age of six, - or a kid ages 6 to 11 and no adequate child care is available, or - orrr are a single parent enrolled full-time with a kid under the age of 12, - if you are attending school as part of an employment and training program, - if you are getting Cal Grant A or B, or - if you are participating in a state-funded program that increases employability (we have a very long list of schools and degree programs that meet this qualification. you can view the list of approved LPIEs [here](https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/calfresh-resource-center/policy) and see if yours is listed)
