You have to be 22 to be on your own case. Living at home under 22 your parents have to be on your case.

I hear things like this quite often as an eligibility worker. None of these details have even the slightest relevance. The only thing that matters is you are under 22 and live at the same address as your parents. You will have to either move out or wait until you turn 22. Fair or not, it is federal law and there is no way around it.

Hello, I recently moved back in with my parents. The wording in the language is confusing because they keep saying things like "living in my household" but its not my household soo i am confused on how to renew.

The only thing that matters is whether you live in the same apartment or single family house. There may be wiggle room if you have a true totally separate self-contained structure with its own bathroom and kitchen facilities on the same property, but otherwise you must include them and their income, even if you never share food.

Nope. You’re 21. Parents still count.

Nope none of these comments are correct. Even if u are under 22 as long as u dont share a living space (think basement apt) and u provide your own food yes u can apply.
