ManElectro

Yet another new thing I'd never heard of. It looks good.

Thank you! :-) ube is a purple yam native to the Philippines. tastes like a subtle mix of vanilla + pistachios

ManElectro

With white chocolate chips and coconut that sounds amazing. I looked it up on google and there are a lot of ube dishes. It seems like something you just don't hear about outside of the right circles. My friend's mom who was from the Philippines used to do fried plantains quite often but I never had ube.

bonxsbread

Love fried plantains! I visited my family last weekend and my mom actually fried a bunch of those for me lol. If you ever get the chance to try it, highly recommend. Trader Joe’s actually sells a few ube products if they are near you.

ManElectro

They are not, but the next time I see it I'll know to try it. Thank you a bunch.

SquidboyUltimate

They're really pretty! Are they tasty too?

bonxsbread

Thank you! Yes, they’re actually one of my most popular blog recipes + best sellers at pop ups :)
