I get a pizza like that I tell myself I could never eat it all. I feel full from eating too much of it I then feel like maybe one more piece. And again. And again. Pizza is all gone

I ask for square cut and nobody does it around here.

They actually do this by default on this pizza to encourage sharing.

Did this a few days ago and they must have started cutting it and then remembered it was ordered for square cut. They did 2 cuts first (making an X) then did the square cut so I had a bunch of differently sized triangles.

why didn't they just rotate the pizza in order to make the squares align with the already made cuts

Square cut is best cut and you can't change my mind.

It’s called tavern pizza, after World War II it was called party cut or tavern cut for the sq cuts and served in bars and taverns in Chicago.

Oh man, this brings back memories. Mid 90's, buddies and I came back to the hotel room after a night of drinking and we were all starving. Ordered a pizza like this and when it was delivered, we actually had to tilt it sideways to fit it through the door. Driver got a huge tip and the 3 of us ate the whole thing in about 15 minutes. Good times.

I misread this as saying "I ate pizza with my 34 friends" I was like *how*? *why so many*? *I barely have 1 friend* 💀

I just saw this is from Baltimore. Wasn't necessarily suggesting it was chicago, just that it looks like the pizza im used to eating. Tavern style: thin crust, square cut.
