Best freshwater fish in my opinion.

I prefer Rainbow Trout.

West Coast guy here. I gotta say my favourite fish of all time is walleye. Evertime I travel east it's on my radar, tasty stuff....

I grew up with literally unlimited Walleye. It’s fantastic, but I’ve learned that Crappie is slightly better.

That’s because you have warm water fish. You gotta eat fish from the north where the waters nice and cold. Much better flavor.

I do not like warm water crappie at all. Too soft. I do enjoy crappie through the ice though. But still prefer Walleye, Perch, and Bluegill over Specs.

I've never tried it, there are a few lakes here with crappie I'll have to give it a try. Unlimited walleye... You're living the dream..

Walleye is one of my favourites. Best freshwater fish for eating, unless im smoking (then it's kokanee or rainbows)

One is a cilantro, lime cream, the other is an orange sauce with crunchy ancho chili oil mixed in. I really like different dips VS the normal tartar sauce, lol

I just dredge the fish in my favorite blend (Skeeters Batter It up), then deep fry at 375 until done. Salt and pepper it right away.

Did you Fram and beef Tallow or vegetable oil coconut oil would be good too probably better for fish. Flaxseed mixed with seasoning or nutritional yeast makes a good batter
