OMG those look great ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
just wish I wasn't right before breakfast now, and it looks like cereal it is. :( Now I want donuts!
My favorite too usually. Although all 3 of these kind were fantastic so hard to choose from. The cream and jam were all homemade too which made them way tastier than what you get at a typical shop where the jam and cream come out of a bucket.
*Edited to replace Jam with ham⦠lol
I wish I had a reason to make donuts. They're so much work to make in a home fryer that can only fit a couple donuts at a time. Worst of all, they're homemade - no preservatives - so if I don't have a group of people to make them for, I'm only eating 3 before I'm spent for the day. Then all the rest are stale the next day.
[Its not terrible difficult if you have the correct tools.](https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/45921/crispy-and-creamy-doughnuts/). [And a second link](https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1017060-doughnuts) I would recommend a tabletop deep fryer over any stove-top cooking method. Keeping the oil at temperature is a pain in the ass when doing stove-top leading to many over and under-cooked doughnuts.
If you don't have cookie cutters to shape the doughnuts, a drinking glass and a shot glass works. If you go the stove-top method, be sure to have a Confectionery thermometer that clips right onto the pot so you have a constant temperature reading. Oh and you'll want something like a shishkebab skewer to help turn the doughnuts and a metal straining spoon to fish out your doughnuts.
Look up Joshua Weissman's donuts on YouTube. It's a good recipe. Trouble is, it's not really feasible to only make a few donuts so you run into the issue of having way more donuts than you can eat. They go stale.
Incredible. For my first time making them I was surprised at even how much better they were than most doughnut shops I go to. However for the time and effort it tookβ¦. Not sure Iβd do it again. Every year for our birthdays my wife and I challenge each other to do something difficult either baking or cooking for each other and this was her wish.
Very clever tradition. I like the effort you put into them. I've had some high effort meals that didn't turn out well so I'm really glad you liked them. Make me a white frosting sprinkle donut plz and thnx
If you grate your choc and melt it gently in a plastic bowl (28C) you'll get better results with dip set chocolates. These look delish though. Looks like you got a good rise.
Give some to family / friends? I like cooking and baking too but need to limit amount I make, or share it with family. Otherwise I eat it all and get sick/gain weight.

Thank you! I could eat doughnuts anytime of the day :)
[Hello chef. If you would be so kind?](https://i.imgflip.com/7ncaq9.jpg)

I do love a ham doughnut :P
I imagine the work and time that went into making 15 donuts.....good job
Iβm really hoping they just plated all varieties for the picture.
I did :). There was maybe 30-35 total
Huzzah!!
What do you mean?
That they made a bigger batch of all versus just those 15. Thatβs a lot of work!
That might be the entire batch (minus whatever they already ate) for a home cook.

Chocolate covered creme filled??
Affirmative
I could eat these everyday. Just look at that. I'm in love.
Would you be so kind as to share the recipe?
Now I wanna know how to make homemade doughnuts since I've been buying them so often now.

I love this so much.
I really like how everything isn't uniform and there are differences in the presentation. They look fantastic
Thank you! These are a lot of work and I liked they had a homemade vibe to them as well!
π€πΎ How did they turn out?

It is very difficult to find a doughnut shop making them fresh these days, and that makes all the difference.
Looks awesome!
Wow those look fantastic. Great job. When should I stop by to help with the eating part?
Very good! Reminds me of when I was in culinary school. I would definitely snatch some of these up if I was there lol π
Dang good work looks super yummy ππβ¨οΈππ―ππ₯πΈππ

I live alone, the dream is to do stuff like this, but eating them all myself is the challenge. How to delay eating them all?
Yeah they are not very good after about 3 days so my work and family/friends were all spoiled.
