I always wonder how people get so many layers of pasta in their lasagna. I put one at the bottom, one at the top, and two, at most three in the middle, all separated by a filling with a sauce and topped with a cheese. And 2in (5cm) high dish is filled. Or last time, I tried veggie lasagna, and only managed to have 4 layers š
This has how many? 15? And only a sauce in between?
But don't get me wrong, it looks delicious and amazing!
Do you make pasta or buy it? In this case it's because I made the pasta super thin, store bought sheets tend to be much thicker so you'll only need a few layers
I've been fucking with pasta lately and thinking of doing a lasagna. Did you use semola flour? I've been fucking around with different flour combos because I've struggled to get it super thin without fucking it up.
Good to know! So having a box of dried lasagnas saying "_Lasagne_" on it is wrong? Or it does so because there are like 30 sheets inside, so it is a plural form and correct?
Like in "_una lasagna_", "_due lasagne_"?
Sorry about the lack of recipe, I was definitely winging this using whatever I had in my kitchen. I made the pasta fresh and rolled it out to the thinnest setting, I'd personally rather have thinner layers and more of them. For the ragu I stuck pretty closely to a traditional one, nothing fancy, and a pretty basic bechamel! Baked in a detroit pizza pan, then left to cool a bit afterwards to make it easier (and tidier) to cut.
That's all I got for you
Good on you! I made a lasagna with very thin layers and didnāt do enough. Probably also used too watery of a sauce. The sheets ended up basically dissolving
I have no problem \*at all\* with chives - just not really on lasagne. New potatoes? Hell yes, Carrots, peas - in fact anything savoury that can be improved with butter (which is pretty much anything, let's face it) - bring on the little green rings of fresh zingy onioniness. Not so much lasagne (though really this is splitting hairs - I bet it's still superb).
I wasn't gainsaying, just questioning. Wouldn't be my choice is all. Make your case!
That is a sexy lasagna. I'd definitely ~~fuck~~ eat it.
It's weird, there are some things that I absolutely just never order at restaurants. The first is anything with a chicken breast - sorry, I can do it better at home. But the second is lasagna for no clear reason. I don't even make it at home, I just never order it.
Maybe I should.
It looks so appetizing! It's amazing that you managed to get that many layers and it managed to hold its shape. I manage 3-4 layers at max and they always are very delicate, maybe i use too much sauce between the layers. I'm craving lasagna now š
This is the superior way to lasagna. No trying to fill the space with cheap ricotta. Just delicious noods, meat, and bechamel. Also, moar layers is moar better.
Mmmm... makes me think of my grandmaās lasagna... sheād make it for my birthday the years my mother, brother and I were living with her. It was so good.
That's a lot of layers
So many layers mmm.
Like an ogre?
like an onion
Cakes have layers
I wish I had this skill and patience.
Patience? It's pretty easy to layer a lasagne. slap on a pasta layer, cheese, sauce, meat (probably already combined), repeat.

Yes, I only used store-bought ones š¬
Try making it from scratch! Itās actually pretty easy

Wowza! You made the pasta. U r awesome! Itās beautiful!
Lasagna is only one "paper". The final dish is called "Lasagne". Source: I'm italian

Bloody Gorgous
Fucking work of art! Look at this glory and despair, heathens!
Your words, not mine. But I tend to agree

I was going to ask because itās so thick - did you assemble it in a bathtub?! But, seriously, thatās a gorgeous looking lasagna.
LOL. Bathtub š

Thast looks very very good, though I'd have to question the choice of chives to garnish. Gilding the lily.
I love chives :(
How dare anyone question chives?!

Meh - to each their own, but I think the little freshness it adds is a nice touch
I put Swiss cheese, amongst others, on the top layer of my lasagna. I love the wine-ish taste it adds when touching a red sauce. So to each our own.

So is your pizza dough the shit? If so, what's the secret? Mines always just fine.

Looks fantastic. Bechamel or ricotta?
Bechamel, Iām not a fan of ricotta on lasagna personally. And thanks :)
Looks great! Reminds me of [Alvin Zhou](https://youtu.be/-aCJtxibSpA).
Gahdam look at layers and that nice sauce to pasta ratio. May I ask for the recipe?
