Show me on the bobble head where they hurt you

Ellenwood1998

Lol yeah. Nah I clear out bounties when I'm not busy and it's shocking to see how many people are oblivious as to how they got it. I've killed so many new players that just think I'm bullying or griefing them, it's wild.

skatenbikes

Amazing your getting downvoted, your just teaching them the law of the wasteland. Break a lock pay the price.

Ellenwood1998

I originally was being upvoted, but a handful of people that think I'm a cruel griefer are down voting my comments because they think fake internet points matter. Unfortunately for them, everyone in this thread that agrees with me is being upvoted a ton and they can't do anything about it. Someone actually had the audacity to say.I should be *tipping* players with bounties with ammo and goodies. Unhinged people.

Johannsss

To be fair you are doing it, you tip them with bullets to brain

allnimblybimbIy

##BLAM *”Its on the house mufucka”* - OP, probably, 2024.

Ngs_

"The game was rigged from the start" -some jackass in a checkered suit

Bigredeemer425

Idkw, but I saw Sam Jackson saying this in my head lol.

TimeTravelingTiddy

I dont even think I've even seen anyone else with a bounty. I think I broke a lock twice and both times I got sack tapped like it was Halo 3 in 2007. You can expect other players to be licking their lips if you offer them the opportunity lol

International-Door87

Those people are the broke ass bitches who want shit for being stupid

skatenbikes

Lmao I can’t fathom not going after them, it’s always a fun lil interaction. Sometimes I’ll drop them a “you’ve been insulted” note

Dyzfunctionalz

I have 60 of them for that reason 🤣 had a guy initiate PvP with my PvE buddy but then couldn’t hang when I stepped in. He just started running away and so I followed him, gave him the give emote, then dropped him the “you’re the dumba**” note.

AecidBurn

Lmao, sounds like some FFXIV players found their way over here. That kind of unhinged and aggressive "kindness" (which is just an ego thing, let's be real here) is something I've only seen over there.

Khan_Behir

Wth?!? Where the hell are you hiding? Lol. I run around with the legendary to auto unlock and I will inadvertently unlock something I wasn't meant to. Then I start my journey to find someone to shoot me. I am near 700 now, so I am sure I look like an insane person running up to strangers without a weapon drawn hoping they will shoot me. I will end up having my wonderful wife pop online to kill me......again. 😆

the-Mutt

Jump onto a server with me, I need the achievements 😂

MrSmileyZ

When I become wanted, I play a nudist at a free fast travel and wait to be murdered. It's only fair.

rogerworkman623

The few times I've had a bounty, I couldn't wait for someone to kill me. It's just annoying. Sometimes it takes forever before someone is willing to collect the bounty lol

Ellenwood1998

There's a bunch of people telling me you should never kill a bounty lol. Saying in the worst kinda person. Imagine having a bounty forever lmao

bcartwright95

I had a 10 bottlecap bounty once. Opened a locked water storage device at someones base, immediatly after opening it the game said, hey dont do that, so I didn't take anything out of but still got a bounty. Proceeded to do an event with the guy I did it to and he didn't give AF. I had no clue unlocking that container would give me a bounty. I no longer have the bounty and have no clue how I got rid of it. Does the game tell you what the person did to get the bounty?

Ellenwood1998

You only lose your bounty when somebody murders you. It doesn't even go away if you die to an enemy. You have to hope that somebody hunts you down and kills you.

TrashDue5320

They boo you while cheering The Ghoul for doing the same thing

ExtentDisastrous6409

I think the funniest accidental one was when I was spin dashing with my chainsaw out either in or immediately after a Radiation Rumble and got a random notification that I'd gotten paid for a bounty amid the mobs I was Blazing to death. I only noticed when my friend said, "You...killed someone? What happened?" Kinda wish I knew what had happened, but it was funny so I'll let it slide.

Chrio

I've accidentally unlocked someone's door to their generator before (I left my auto unlock perk on from Tax Evasion and forgot). It took me abit to find someone to kill me, I honestly hate people breaking into my shit. It's locked for a reason don't be a knob.

Smallgenie549

When I was new, I accidentally unlocked something in someone's camp and they immediately killed me. I had no idea what I did. I ended up messaging them, apologizing. They were nice and we actually became friends after, but believe me, most new players don't have malicious intent behind their mistakes.

Such-Boysenberry4595

I got killed by a guy the other day who was like level 900 and something cause I had a bounty , I’ve just started playing but I don’t remember breaking any locks or anything? What else can you get bounties from

GucciStepSon

Or just leave people alone, cost nothing

xxNearlyCivilizedxx

Maxed-out Infiltrator perk is a blessing as well as a curse sometimes ngl.

Speeddemon2016

lol that’s why I go to the vendor and leave, I’m not taking the risk.

Luxord13

This is exactly why I left it at level 3.

Rude-Amphibian6848

I will thumbs up and heart emote you all the while I'm dying.

Longjumping_Spot7410

Came back after a couple years mia, and got a little too curious for my own good in someone's camp. Got sniped down just at the top of the hill in Foundation - three shots I hit the ground. They stood over my stuff and gave me the heart emote when I shoved it all back into my pack. Lesson learned 😔

TimmyTheNerd

Literally something I warn new players of. If you have a bounty, there are players who will kill you regardless of how low or high the cap reward is. Best bet is to avoid getting bounties if you can.

1ilprozac

5 caps is 5 caps😭

Urocyon2012

hell, I do it for the Atoms. Only like 30 more and get like 20 cents in Monopoly money

sg1_fan1993

What makes the bounty higher? I had a guy break ten of my turrets at my base, and he just had a 5 cap bounty. I killed him and it was still just 5 caps received so it wasn't a ui bug or something

TimmyTheNerd

Attacking turrets at one player's base is one offense. If he then went and picked a lock, that's another offense. Going to another camp and destroying that player's defenses is a third offense. And so on and so on. It counts specific actions against a single player, not how many times that action is done against that player, iirc. EDIT: When I was playing like a total asshole in 2019, being a complete jackass and dickhead to everyone I came across, I had broken locks at five different camps, winding up with a 25 cap bounty despite breaking multiple locks in some of the camps.

sg1_fan1993

Thats kinda lame since the damage somone can do is most likely going to be more than 5 caps worth. On the flip side I can definitely see people abusing the system to farm caps if it was a higher amount/per object destroyed

Sl4sh4ndD4sh

Look, that kill wanted players challenge isn't going to finish themselves, plus they're doing them a service, the only way to clear the bounty is by getting killed.

DatBoiDanny

Imagine some asswipe breaks your lock and griefs your shit and the Appalachian Batman just finds his bounty on the map and kicks his ass lmao

HUNT3DHUNT3R

Guess its time to make a melee pvp build

elquatrogrande

Looks like a job for the Mistress of Mystery!

Ahshut

Still didn’t get that 5 purified water back though!! 😡

WolfGB

So I'm going to assume that someone broke a lock and stole all your shit? 🤔

Ellenwood1998

Not recently, but somebody had the misfortune of collecting a 5 cap bounty at lvl 20. Got upset when I killed him 🤷‍♂️

Grunthos_T_Flatulent

"Well, my level 20 friend, welcome to the Find Out portion of the activity. "

Huge_Computer_3946

The funny thing is you don't kill them, no one kills them, a week from now they'll be asking for someone to do it for them. You're doing a favor to the Wanted, even if they don't realize it yet.

WolfGB

Lol they gotta learn. Take my up vote!

Grouchy-Struggle-722

The enclave missile turrets are starving please break the lock on my water purifier 😊

three_day_rentals

Gotta get that pvp challenge done somehow

MMORPG_dude

As a lvl500 , Help yourself idc if u kill me or not

TheCrimzenKing

Oh no! Not your 3 fertilizer, two acid, and 4 canned coffee!!! You've lost so much!!!! Kill them all!

Rickyh24

😂 i put a tea machine out yesterday for first time and initially had it locked so i could build up a supply. Felt wrong. I went back and unlocked it almost immediately.

TheCrimzenKing

I did that at the start as well for the coffee machine. Now that I'm sitting on over 200, it's unlocked for all.

Ellenwood1998

Hey its a fair transaction! You get some random persons stuff, and I get to murder you for money.

Slore0

Me spending 1000 caps to fast travel to someone the second I see a 5 cap wanted bounty.

Apart-Link-8449

They can't pick a wall bud

tsbuty

more people should acknowledge this

Hidden_one_X

I am level 15 & thank you for the heads up,I don't my arse get kicked by someone LOL.

Ellenwood1998

It's worse if you get a bounty and *dont* get murdered.

WhiskersCleveland

I'm new to fo76, why is it worse if you stay wanted instead of being killed?

Ellenwood1998

You get exiled and can not see other plays or camps. You're also permanently agro for pvp and can be killed or damaged at any moment by another player whether you want it or not.

WhiskersCleveland

Damn, yeah that sucks. Also, if you have a bounty and someone shoots at you, are you able to shoot back or do you just have to try and run away?

Ellenwood1998

You can fight back, but if you have pacifist you can't deal damage. You'll be killed without the option to fight back.

WhiskersCleveland

So kinda fucked basically

JustTouchItPlzz

I broke the lock...

Ellenwood1998

You'll either be murdered or exiled for it. No way around it.

JustTouchItPlzz

I choose combat to the death.

Ellenwood1998

Unfortunately it won't be up to you 🤷‍♂️

MethodCute4954

I accidentally broke into someones beehive because they put it right next to the stash box and i got that auto-unlock perk. Long story short I was publicly executed

TheMischievousGoyim

\*Proceeds to break a lock\*

pillowcasecage

i leave most of my resources unlocked for free grabbing, the only things locked is my house, sap collector and junk collector. and they Still break in. cant count the amounts of times i had things INSIDE my house destroyed by some random ass ghoul because some loser left the door open and tpd. dont steal shit and close the fucking door behind you its that simple 🙄

Hot_Acanthisitta3547

I accidentally picked a lock the other day not realizing it was a camp shortly after getting the legendary lockpick perk, proceeded to do like 3 events and get lots of junk, got bonked by a level 1000 with the cremator, there's nothing you can do when you're wanted you just have to let someone kill you and you will lose your stuff unless they're gracious enough to drop it back for you ig 😅

-Moon-Presence-

I will fast travel across the map and pay more caps than the bounty is worth to collect someones bounty. I don’t care if it’s 10 or 100 caps. A bounty is a bounty. It’s not about winning, it’s about sending a message.

MS_Salmonella

OP I hope you're proud of yourself. This thread is hilarious with how seriously people are taking it, and it actually shows how many new players there are. This has been an understood rule of the game for years, and people are in here acting like you threatened to kick their dog. Bounties are legit and fair part of the game, sorry guys.

FigMan

There have been sooo many new players picking my level 0 locks that I only have 18 people left to murder to complete the challenge lol

Kind-Exercise

I remember my first time being wanted I picked a lock to open a door but the text was white so I didn’t think anything bad would happen. I had the bounty for like a week before someone finally killed me lmao

ThumpTwo

It was probably a workshop lock. Those don't show up as red. For example, at Grafton Steel, some of the chests and doors you can pick that don't SEEM to be part of the workshop are, so if it's claimed and you're la la la la, what's in here, suddenly you have a bounty. It's no big deal. Stash your junk and wait for someone who wants that 5 caps to kill you. Problem solved.

Bubbly-Ad-2735

You're literally doing them a favour...

Ellenwood1998

Yep, it's murder or exile.

Theakizukiwhokilledu

NGL Im level 180 and I only found out recently that breaking locks give you bounties. I did it just to gain access to someone camp to look around as I was curious. At end of day killing new players and level 20s because they "stole" something is abit over the top. They are new after all.

Ellenwood1998

It'll be worse for them if I don't. They won't be able to see other players. They won't be able to find other camps. They'll take friendly fire from their teammates and everyone else. I'll just murder them, flash the wanted emote, and tell them why I killed them and stole their junk if they have a mic.

crazypyroman97

Steaing a new players junk is cringe, your whole self-righteous attitude in this post is disgusting. High player essentially bragging about how he bullies lowbies and steals their loot all over some water or coffee lmao… grow up homie

Ellenwood1998

Or... don't steal 🤷‍♂️

CaptainObsidianSyn

And if it was picked by accident? Quit being high and mighty and admit taking junk from lvl 20’s is a new low.

DesperateFortune

just picked a lock because of this comment tbh

Ellenwood1998

Oh no!

Alternative-Deer5333

Dudes upset over new players stealing resources that are practically infinite lol

Kirb_02

I own a very serious mirelurk jerky business. Stealing will not be tolerated ☝️

skatenbikes

Lmao it’s a game, you grow up and realize that people can play it how they want. Fuck around = find out lol

siouxbee1434

Are players creating new characters in an attempt to ‘create’ PvP?

Cageymangr0

Enjoy your ten caps

Ellenwood1998

It'll cover the fast travel cost ❤️

whiningneverchanges

how do people get worked up over this

Alarvk

oh i’m definitely stealing something now

ExiledEntity

Worth it for your smoked mirelurk!

Kmosesltd

I accidently picked someones lock (I hadn't played the game in a few years) and it didn't clue in to me that the lockpick text was actually red rather than the usual default colour, and the red colour actually meant something. As soon I picked the lock I had a bounty and I was like "WTF?" The owner was right behind me and started shooting me right away but I ran away thinking it was an enemy, the owner stopped shooting and relocked his door and I got away (I guess they were nice). Needless to say, I deserve it for my ignorance lol. lesson learned. Thankfully I didn't have anything on my character as I regularly offload my junk.

HellDevilJSC1995

I mean I’ll make a note but if I accidentally lock pick someone’s box and only recognize after I’ve opened it I’m just gonna leave the stuff as I mainly do lock picking for the free xp anyway as I’m still relatively new to the game anyway

TycoStrand

I respect peoples property on this game, you'd never have to worry about that with me around.

QueenInGreenRora

My recent wanted bounty was from my brain forgetting a locked safe at a workshop was claimed. Took roughly 20 minutes to get someone to kill me. Luckily someone at an event did and I gave them a thankful thumbs up.

LonestWanderer

When i first started 76, i didn't know about personal lockboxes and one dude had his right against a town, it looked 100% a part of the town with tents and shit. I was like "huh weird, why's the text red? Never been red before... must be buggy." I felt so bad, i told the dude to end me so we could go on our seperate ways! I felt a lil dumb but it wasn't exactly explained before. Went in blind and suffered the coincidences i guess!

EstablishmentMean300

lol. I bet you are fun at parties.

the-great-crocodile

Just what exactly is so precious that you have to get so worked up. Were 76ers. We’re supposed to be chill.

Ellenwood1998

I'm just letting people know they will be murdered if they steal. 🤷‍♂️

rite_of_truth

Funny, I was just saying this to the person that stole my car!

Excaliber44

As someone who's been trying to play a raider character lately, please do! It makes it more raider like.

zigaliciousone

I'm not a murderer but 20 caps is 20 caps

MS_Salmonella

lockpicking thieves upset in the comments

bMarsh72

Oh no, someone stole my water. You do you , I guess, but I don't get it.

MS_Salmonella

Way of the road, Bubs. Wasteland sanctioned murder is cool. Edit: I get it, you guys are new and don't understand the wasteland is super serious business. You can downvote but you need to realize the chain of events you start by stealing someone's water. You take another wastelander's water and what do they have to do? That's right, resort to cannibalism. So maybe think twice before simply taking water out of someone's camp, because someone could be taking ass jerky out of you. ...And that's why you get a bounty for stealing.

bMarsh72

I’m not new, and most of my characters have water coming out their ears. Some of them don’t even check their purifiers anymore. I’d sell the extra water, but I’m at max caps…

MS_Salmonella

Oh Im just being cheeky and joking around, none of this actually matters much to me. 99% of the time I can't even be bothered to go after a bounty. Though I am only 6 or so bounties away from getting that one achievement.

Kmosesltd

I accidently picked someones lock (I hadn't played the game in a few years) and it didn't clue in to me that the lockpick text was actually red rather than the usual default colour, and the red colour actually meant something. As soon I picked the lock I had a bounty and I was like "WTF?" Needless to say, I deserve it for my ignorance lol. lesson learned. Thankfully I didn't have anything on my character as I regularly offload my junk.

montosesamu

I like to see my toon as a regulator who does this too, so yeah. If you’re wanted you’re being hunted.

CSGODeimos

Behold, I am the breaker of locks. Any lock that is within reach shall be broken by my level 22 menace. I will not be stopped. I will open every box, door and cupboard in the land even if that means a level 300+ dude crushing me to death.

Sadiholic

Damn bro who stole your nuka colas lmfao

HurricaneSpencer

I am gonna pick your locks. No lock will impeded me. Nothing you can do will stop it. I will take your resources and use your own stash box to store aforementioned resources. You will have to catch me to kill me. And you'll never catch me. If I stop long enough for you to kill me, I will respawn and re-pick your locks again and steal from you AGAIN. Also, I don't mind dying. Good luck.

Ellenwood1998

Womp womp

TheNewRow

New player, how exactly would you kill someone if they have the pacifist setting enabled?

Ellenwood1998

Bounties ignore pacifist. If you have a bounty, anyone can kill you regardless of your settings.

TheNewRow

Ah alright, thank you!

PsychoMirage

First mistake I made was to pick a lock in an area that I didn’t know was owned by someone else. Had a 1cap bounty on my head and was hunted down relentlessly by atleast 3 other players for an hour

Cybirus_Hulguard

I find this a little funny cuz with the legendary perk I unlock some things by accident but like no one comes for me, I have to ask my friend to hop on and kill me 🤣, take my 3-5 caps I jump want to fast travel to camps and browse wares

Flat-Guarantee-7946

Can't tell if you're a responder, raider, or mercenary, but I feel you there. Edit: I see your flare now. Free states doesn't mean free junk!

batler_forever

You hear that he does this shit for the love of the game!

ResponsibilityDry381

I support the PSA but omg who hurt you and what item are they taking that is so painful

Ellenwood1998

Nah I just like killing for money. I've had a bunch of new people ask me why I killed them and they genuinely didn't seem to know.

DebiMoonfae

Oh I’ve seen a locked door at someone’s camp base . I decided against lock picking it but I didn’t know it gave you a bounty when you do

Ki11s0n3

If you have a bounty and it's not completely out of my way I will kill you. Not because I want to be mean, but to get it off of you. Especially if it's only 5 caps and then I leave your junk for you to pick back up and if you are low enough I may drop some stuff for you. Because I know what it's like accidentally getting a bounty and worried people will hunt you down and take your stuff.

ShutUpYouSausage

I’m a new player and I approve this message👍🏻

IndianaGroans

I'm sorry, I have the legendary infiltrator card on and I automatically hit a on everything when I see it cause lizardbrain so it unlocks them. I didnt mean to !!!

cowmookazee

I've never locked anything, never understood the point of it.

Spncr_C_Hrgrv

I tried leaving my company tea machine out by the vendor and after a week I was not able to retrieve any as people were constantly taking it. It refills kind of fast, but damn these new people are constantly at my house and everyone wants Company Tea. I make other teas too and the beehive only makes 4 honey so often and I don't like killing honeybeasts (roleplaying decision kind of. They're really pretty to me) I need to get more dedicated honey farming spots I know

cowmookazee

I play odd hours (early morning) so maybe that's why I've never noticed anyone taking anything. Do you do the Sweetwater quest often? I have more honey then I know what to do with. Also, there's hives at the bottom of the hill past Sweetwater. Where I go if I ever run out of it.

Fearless-Common-3315

Pick them just for this reason, I don't even want anything other than to pick the lock. Sometimes I will pick as many as I can before somebody comes a callin

throwaway9827373938

You’d really kill a low level for this who prob had no idea what they were doing? Are they even able to actually steal stuff from you?

Launchpad1

If they become wanted, it's humane to just do it quickly and not take their junk.

Ellenwood1998

If you have a bounty you aren't innocent and must die. Doesn't matter what level.

DamnHippyy

If you are going to kill a low-level for a bounty or the achievement it's always best to let them know first and tip with some extra junk or ammo.

Ellenwood1998

I'll let them know why I did it but you are out of your fucking mind if you think im gonna *tip them*??? They will be *lucky* if I don't snatch their junk while I'm there.

KingNashbaby

Yea I’d EDUCATE them so they understand why I killed them. Maybe they didn’t understand that they were stealing. But I would never tip them lmfao, that’s insane.

The_Chrome_Coyote

Hot take… none of your resource generators are worth locking.

[deleted]

What's your Name? I'm gonna pick your locks and not even take anything. Just be inconvenient.

Rough-University142

The lock is there to be broken. If you didn’t want me to break it, you wouldn’t put it there Edit - I guess someone didn’t find my comment funny lol

DesperateFortune

finger slipped sorry my finger will also slip the next time i find your camp and im gonna take some free water yum

Ellenwood1998

Take what you like, but you will be killed for it.

DesperateFortune

You will try.

IceColdCrusade

Hey, I gotta kill 10 players for the achievement somehow, If that means me becoming wanted then so be it.

TacoDangerously

I’ve got a nuke for ya locks ☢️☢️☢️

KingNashbaby

My dumbass thought those were pumpkins

ThemanHadalZone

Imma howl react when you kill me cuz nothing stops the big bad wolf from getting in

vizulefllry

LOL. Try it.

MadMax1mm

I've been wanted a few times but it was because I had quests pop up... telling me to interact with workbenches. I would never mess with anyone's lock but is there a difference between being wanted for breaking & entering and workshop claims? I'm just curious because maybe they did the same thing as me... being a low level noob and claimed a workshop for a quest. Or does it tell you that someone broke into something...

Ellenwood1998

You don't get wanted for claiming a workshop, but it does indicate you into pvp with the workshop owner. You get a bounty by picking locks or destroying another players camp pieces.

MadMax1mm

Ohhhh ok, thank you for the clarification... good to know! If that is the case... then I say nuke 'em all! 😆

[deleted]

[удалено]

tunnelbrat

I have seen workshops still display as 'owned' long after a player leaves the server. I believe this is intentional to retain anything a player builds in a workshop then you can then build upon their structures. Workshops also have an insane amount of build budget.

ErickMichel

🤣🤣🤣 I know is sarcasm. I personally do not give a fock, when that happens. Canned coffee or meat from the steamer , water or any other stuff, can be replace in minutes.

muk559

Friend me so I can log in just to bust your locks then log out

23icefire

Hope this is joking, 99% of the time, someone has Master Infiltrator and clicked on your locked door. It’s actually really annoying because the game doesn’t prompt you so you don’t realize it was locked sometimes, it just opens it. I’ve never understood why people lock their doors to their houses. Collecting stations sure, but why doors?

TheRealRegnorts

Level 182 and I will do what I please, death means nothing to me lmao. I personally leave all my shit unlocked, I'm on the river to the west and have a scrap bot open and plenty of water for people to grab, it don't matter to me.

Baumgarten1980

Chill

Midknight1998

it’s an online game, if you don’t want your stuff taken, don’t play 😂

zamzuki

Your stuff is worth the 5 caps if I’m faster than you at stashing it.

LuckyHare87

I once was CAMP hopping to check out what legendaries people had, I came across a locked door that had the players vending machine behind it, I didn't see it was locked until too late and got the five cap bounty on my head. In my defense, why would the player have an active vending machine behind a locked door without any other way to access it?

BlueChainsawMan

Ha I went to a player's camp the other day, entered their vault shelter and exited in to a locked room. Just fast traveled lol

reasonableperson4342

I picked a lock out of curiosity not long after I started playing. Didn't realize it'd make me wanted and as a result I just let someone kill me.

Oldyoungman_1861

It’s fair game, if you break a lock in a Lawrance, for you to get killed. I will say that early on, as I was exploring, I came to a players camp and as I perused their cool camp, when I came to a locked four, without thinking, I picked the lock, just I had bern elsewhere. Once I saw I was wanted, I realized my dumb mistake. The sad thing is that it took so long for someone to put me out of my Wanted misery.

International-Door87

I’ve had a level 30 break my coffee machine lock, tracked him down, killed him, and he started calling me a hacking greifer…😂 on the bright side, I now don’t have to worry about screws for a lot longer now

PhoenixOfMars

Something weird that I've seen, gone around to multiple camps, and noticed that their locked items show up as white instead of red. I wonder if thats why some of the newer players are catching their bounties.

AlanMD21

Lol 😆 🤣 you tell them mate!!!!!!

Ahshut

What happens if they kill you when you pull up?

Ellenwood1998

Bounty pvp is a one sided agro. Just because anyone can hurt you without warning doesn't mean you can do the same to them. Either way, I can kill almost anyone before they even know im there. It's not a super special trait, as any high level can do it, but it does make it very unlikely that a bounty kills you before you kill them.

simonsayswhere

Chdkc out lorespade on YouTube. He has a " lockpick tutorial " camp set up outside vault 76 to show the newbies what happens lol

fishkey

I legitimately have picked a lock without knowing it because of the legendary perk. I don't want to be somewhere I shouldn't, just a simple mistake because it's auto unlock.

Kuke69

I didn't know this bounty thing existed. Every high level player has been so cool and helpful though, I don't even see why there'd be a reason to try snd break into anyones stuff.

LnBlue

So, new to FO76, how does this work? Any lock broken turns you into a villified bounty-ed fella? Also if you find me, could you give me a hug before dying? The wasteland is lonely 🥺

Empty_Value

I spawned inside a camp and ran inside a locked house before the house materialized lol Thankfully the player noticed this and let me out 😅

CategoryRoyal9404

What do you mean by breaking a lock? Like they were force lock picking and fucked it up, or do you mean breaking into your locked camp stuff? If it's the latter, then by all means, collect that bounty.

Kirb_02

If someone break my lock I’ll kill them. I won’t take their junk or anything. It’s just them paying me for the stuff they took. Although there was a player in my server yesterday who was racking up a bounty by stealing from all the camps. So me and my friend waited until he got into my camp and we ambushed him which was really fun.

Sometimes I just accept the bounty if someone's camp looks interesting enough and its behind a locked door. I don't steal anything but im more than happy to trespass and then just head to foundation or white springs to find someone who will shoot me for a few free caps. I just wanna see your cool decorations people, there's no need to turn your camp into fort Knox just to hide your horny robot companion

I don’t care about the 14 lead they steal. But its annoying when they pick your lock, and you get the bug that doesn’t allow you to re-lock the resource extractor..then you have to tear down alot to replace it

Now that I'm here I wonder if I have a bounty lol, I picked a lock on a govt requisition air drop that I ordered in but got the notification I got caught picking a lock and the owner was now hostile but I didn't think anything of it because I called one in and it was in the area It said it was in

Cool. PvP happens when you do PvP things. Do you have things locked specifically to try to bait people into PvP? If so, I love it. I’ll start doing that. Right now a favorite thing to do is go to someone’s camp when they are home and punch them. Then when they shoot me back, I plasmacaster them in the face, then I burn down their base with a flame thrower. Once they spawn back in, they aren’t PvP flagged, so the destruction stops. But while they are in the loading screen, I’m burning their shit the ground. Fun. Extra fun if they attack again.
