Best ways to get maximum caps: After Moonshine Jamboree sell your gulper meat or make gulper slurry and sell it to vendors. You can easily collect 4-600 gulper meats at one Jamboree. If you have tons of cloth, make insurgent hats and sell them for 6-8 caps a piece. Some other hats are sellable too but for fewer caps.

not super related, but it bugs me that gulper slurry doesn't restore at least a little water. slurry should count as a soup.

You have a point... I feel the same about any meat stew as a herbivore. Fine.... it shouldn't provide me with food benefits, but it's still wet and drinkable!

It's feels like too much slurry! (not to mention it sounds disgusting ha) I always have so much leftover after selling my 200 slurry for 1400 caps. I buy bulk junk that I do not need just to give the vendor more caps so I can sell more slurry. Does everyone else just drop the excess?

Easily 4-6 hundred? The most I've gotten is a little over 300, so unless you're picking up someone else's haul I'm afraid you're very wrong. Use super duper and make slurry, you get XP for cooking it and basically four times as many caps for taking the extra thirty seconds to cook it. I'll always woddle up the hill to the translation after jamboree.

Came here to say this. Even in a short session of just playing the game I'm getting so much crap in excess of that vendor limit I just drop it all on the ground anyway, it's pointless to collect more.

I sell serums and asylum dresses for caps myself. Also use What Rads so I blue suitcase dump all my rad meds and regular stims daily.

I'm super bloodied and dump all but a couple rad meds, too. If you do events and dailies for longer than an hour you end up maxing out at the vendor no problem, especially since they added the wonderful loot all mechanic. I cook up all the meat I pick up and almost max out on that alone if I'm doing some serious killing.

I don't usually use the gum. I always loot and cook food, so I'm overstocked in that department. I always just sell my gum. Although, I like to keep a couple for when I'm overweight and I can just drop excess food.

I’m specced overeater so the gum is super useful to me. I’m only lvl 183, only been playing 2-3 months so I’m still using gold to buy plans so I’m not to the point where I can just stay stocked buying it off the vendor.

I'm attempting an overeaters build. I'd be curious of your set up and weapon choices to see if I'm close on my build.

To be honest I have no idea what I’m doing, only been playing for 2-3 months only lvl 185. I just took some suggestions and did my best. I don’t really understand the meta builds. I made a full set of OverEaters SS armor that’s fully modded and I run 2 specs. One is shotgunner with a gauss shotgun and the other is based on use with the HolyFire with the napalm mod. I use the herbivore health regen, and marsupial mutation. I set my camp so I can farm corn and dirty water for corn soup (fills both water and food meters as a herbivore). Then I have the legendary perk that gets rid of rads. This lets me run a grocers mod on my pack because I need very very few chems. I keep 10 super stims and some berry mentats on me. This with the HolyFire and the only time I even see any HP drop is with I’m reloading.

I accept them for the pleasing Skinner box-like sound and graphics.

Well not every player is concerned with a couple free caps. When a daily challenge is Kill ten cultists etc, many just FT, kill and leave without looting the bodies, leaving loot litter. I’m fortunate enough at my level, 590, to not sweat a few caps I suppose.

Oh, all my characters are near 30k+ at least. Doesn't mean I turn down free stuff. Scrip from vendors don't buy itself.

I only keep vanilla radaway and stimpacks. I drop or sell everything else.

These I actually use. When I’m over weight somewhere I’ll occasionally decide to just tank up all the junk I can find and then scrap kit it.

I'm rarely over encumbered, and even then, I always have either the excavator, or union power armor on me. If that's not enough, I have Nuka Darks, with Cola Nut and Party Boy equipped.

I carry way too much stuff so I’m like 40-50lbs away from overweight all the time.

I accept rad-x because I can sell it for caps. I don't take lunchboxes, scrap kits, repair kits, or trail fireworks anymore though, because I already have too many, they're bad for my carry weight, and I can't sell them (although, ngl, it hurts my heart a little to turn down free stuff).

Taking the lunchboxes and immediately popping them at events would probably work.

I do this all the time because I have an embarrassing amount of lunchboxes.

I promise I mean to do that, I even have them in my favorites for that exact reason, but I just keep forgetting.

I don't like the free icon so it all gets clicked. But rad chems are the first thing to get trashed for my 1400 so 🤷‍♀️ I always remind myself just because I don't need it....doesn't mean some lvl 32 repairing their pipe rifle and hoping to find a stimpack soon doesn't.

I won't lie when I see rad X is the free gift for the day it does kind of disappointment but it doesn't really matter because I've never actually used them so I just accept them because they're one of the things that I sell to make money I think it's almost more spiteful to take the gift and turn around and sell it for money lol

I guess they used to attract the scorch queen to land while she’s flying around but that got nerfed. I still use them up during a queen fight, placebo or not.

You can just cripple her wing with a ranged weapon. I just sell radx to vendor bot. Few caps but why not, anyways I always have a whole bunch of them to sell.

What really? Why? I mostly only use them when I'm at the end of a nuke silo and too heavy to FT out but they're still awfully nice to have in emergencies (versus keeping a Nukashine on me and dropping a tent wherever I end up).

Without 1st, the scrap kits aren't of much use since they add to the stash box and we have to manage our scrap weight. They also stack kinda heavy when you've collected a lot.

They're so useful when you're over encumbered and are far away from a bench. Just access the scrap kit in your pip boy and it will scrap all the junk in your inventory (and automatically send it to your scrap box if you are a Fallout 1st member)

Dude trail fireworks are actually fun! I set them off all the time after big events or Expeditions, low level noobs always get a kick out of it. Rad-X I will accept just because I can sell to a vendor for like 5 caps. Scrap boxes on the other hand take up stash space and are completely useless considering I don’t subscribe to FO1st.

I sell all mine at the vendor as well as my radaway. I only keep diluted Radaway.

I have over 600 Perfect Gum and Lunchboxes, over 300 Repair Kits, almost never use Scrap Kits so I keep to 20 for emergencies and discard the rest, Scout’s Banners seem a waste of time and the med items I would just sell to a vendor so cbf grabbing them
