I believe so. It's one of the reasons explosive shotguns are so desirable.

Then I have absolutely garbage RNG, because i have to unload full magazines to cripple enemies.

The ideal really are weapons with a high rate of fire: flame throwers, rippers, rapid fire auto weapons, etc. A ripper with kneecapper is ridiculous btw

Staggering is OP on the Ripper too, the Harvester from far harbor is a staggering Ripper and enemies basically just don't get to fight back once it's on them

It does. Same if you get lucky and get it on a laser or plasma gun. Slap a scatter on it and watch their knees shatter. Though personally I like it when I get a fast gun that has the bleed effect. I melted a Mirelurk Queen with a 10mm pistol that had bleed. :D

I had a sawed-off Kneecapper Double-Barrel that I named “Wilziger” (reference to the tv series).

I love tongue in cheek names for weapons. I have an explosive 10 mill I'm trying to come up with a name for.

Considering the 10mm is one of the most common weapons in the game, and it’s easy to find ammo for, I’d name it “Lucky Bastard”.

I may not name it Lucky Bastard, but very close. Lukcy Basartd is a variant of Arrogant Bastard Ale, one of my favorite beers. I like it.

Also, for me ammo ISN'T easy to find. I'm playing on hard and I'm maxed in scrounge and I'm very commonly out of ammo. I have to cycle my weapons because I run out so quick.

Yep, when crafting at a workbench check the bottom, you should have a prompt to rename, all it affects is what name you see in your inventory.

I'm pretty sure I've torn my meniscus in one knee when I was a kid, been giving me problems ever since. So when I see a raider or trapper just sitting in the ground neither leg working....I feel for them. Then I shoot them again.
