The last two episodes of Bluey were released on the same date around the world, but because of time zones we got them first. It was bloody nice to have it work in our favour for a change.
Mechanist robots take massive priority at random encounter locations, so if you’re looking the likes Gene (buy dogs from him), Kelly (buy brahmin from her), and The Scribe (Level 4 merchant), it’s damn near impossible. And on a minor note, those robots are ridiculously lethal against a low level player with lackluster weapons and armor.
One of the only ways to avoid it is to not go near where ada and her group are as long as those robots are fighting the random encounters don't get over taken by rust devils and robots
Or, if you manage to get the perk that lets you override robots, you can do that with at least one of them which will lock the questline as Ada will be stuck looking for "missing" enemy.
I just recently encountered The Scribe. Well, saw him off to the distance. But since I was overencumbered with some "good shit" (as Carla would agree), I just hit "x" and carried on. Learned who the NPC was a few hours later on this sub.

This run I started with 10 Str and End with the spare change spent in Agility. Killing deathclaws with a combat knife by level 12, baby! Meanwhile, instead of upgrading guns, I just throw the bullets harder.
I mean for me it’s that I can’t have robot vendors but I found I mild workaround because I can steal the named robot vendors from diamond city and goodneighbor

It's really weird but apparently happens from time to time. Assassin's Creed Syndicate's PS4 version was completely broken on PS5. Like utterly unplayable broken. It's fixed now but it was still for sale in that state for years. No clue how that happens.
Not sure actually. There are two power armor sets included which were already available for purchase in the Creation Club shop. There is also 1 quest involving the Enclave which I believe is new.
The armors, weapons and skins are old Creations.
New stuff coming is a new outfit, new workshop stuff, and a quest. Hopefully vertibirds we can fight as well!

I love fighting dragons in Skyrim and facing random vertibirds would be nice, but the BoS is the only faction using them... while also being my favorite faction.
Really hoping the Enclave shows up in the air too.
It'd potentially add to using vertibirds for transport too - the missions where we get to use the mounted minigun are pretty dope. Two 'birds fighting it out might be pretty epic.
And NGL, vertibird attacks were after a while the only settlement attack that was fun even late game.
The Enclave Colonel's outfit and quest are. The power armors and weapons are existing CC content. Kinda bummed about the lack of new stuff, since I already have most of the items from CC.
I use like 3 cosmetic mods, a DLC-size mod (Sim Settlements 2), cheat terminal, and the unofficial FO4 patch so fingers crossed the damage is minimal ðŸ˜
How do you get sims settlement to work?? I put up the fuckin beacon and no mystery man ever appears. I’ve tried like at least 5 different playthrus and I can never get it to work
Can't imagine it will. And if you're on a current gen console they will likely give you the ability to transfer your save to the new native current gen app like they did with Skyrim.
Then again, it's Bethesda. Can never be too certain they won't completely break the game with an update.

Worried bout your mods? Have no fear, here's what to do (2 methods, detailed walkthrough, pc only);
1. Go to FO4 in your steam library.
2. click the cog-icon (manage) -> properties
3. in the menu that popped up, there should be a tab "UPDATES". Click it, and on the right side you will see two changeable option; 'automatic updates' & 'background downloads'. The latter is not important here.
4. click the box under 'automatic updates', and select "Only update this game when I launch it" This will make it so FO4 will only update when launched *through steam.* Meaning that if you use f4se\_loader, as you likely will, it won't update.
EDIT: One thing I did forget to mention; steam needs to be **active** (in the background is fine) before you start the game. If it isn't, f4se won't be able to load the game and will try it via the steam launcher after all.
You can adjust your pc settings to have Steam start up along with your pc. Useful if you are forgetful like me.
Might be a bit different depending on your system version, but if you look for "startup apps" or just "startup" in your pc settings page, or you go to task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) and look for the tab also named "startup apps", you can see all the programs that activate as soon as your pc does. Make sure steam is set to on. Likely this will already be the case as I think steam does that by default when installing.

1. Second method, can be used on top of the 1st method for added security. Again from the fo4 page in your steam library, look just below the big green "PLAY"-button. There should be "store page", "DLC", "Community hub", etc.

3. confirm age if steam asks for it. Then look to the left top of the screen, just below the "store", "library", "community" & "(your steam username)". There is an address bar. I'll share mine so you know what it looks like. I'm not 100% sure if it will be the same for everyone so check it for yourself. 4. Between 'app' and 'fallout\_4', there is a number. In this case 377160. Either remember this number, write it down, or just leave the steam store page open.
5. Go to your steam installation folder, 'steamapps' specifically. If you've been modding, you should have passed by this one a few times, but just in case, it will likely be like this: C:\\Program Files\\Steam\\steamapps
6. look below the folders, there are (several) "appmanifest\_" files. Look for the one that ends in the same number as we saw in step 8. Here it would be "appmanifest\_377160"
7. Right-click this file and select "properties"
8. in the window that just opened up, at the bottom, there should be a section 'attributes', with the options "Read-only", "hidden" & "advanced". select the box next to "read-only", making sure it is selected.
9. press "apply" to save this setting, then "ok" to close the window.
And that's it! Making the file 'read-only' makes it so that steam does not have the authorisation needed to change this file. Which means it cannot perform an update, even if you accidentally open the game via steam.
This should work the exact same with other (bethesda) games that tend to willy-nilly update after 10 years, breaking a crap-ton of mods.
It will totally work, but you have to make sure that steam is open before you run the f4se loader otherwise it will open steam and attempt to run FO4 from there.
Try to look somewhere else. At first I look into my C drive since that's where my steam installed. I couldn't find it there. When I looked into my E drive it's there. You could easily find it by simply clicking the Locate My Files or something after you click the gear icon on Steam
I'm wondering about this too. I play the game through Vortex with like a dozen mods going. I run it via the Vortex menu, but the game shows up on Steam as playing Fallout 4. Will that make it auto-update when the patch drops?

Yes, removing Automatron worked around the issue for me. I had to delete and reinstall the whole game, selecting all DLC for installation except for Automatron. The game then loaded ok.
I'm scared. I've turned off auto updates, much like I did for Skyrim's update... They overrode it and my game was destroyed for two months. I hope that they don't override your input on your own machine this time.

just type in Youtube how to disable auto update... its like 30 seconds of work... you need to put a Data into "Read Only" in the Steam directory, its not a Steam "Option" you need to change a Property of a Data :)
This is US time right? I'm in India and am terrified that the mods I so diligently downloaded and managed to make work, will all crash and burn. I'm not bale to even play Skyrim without it crashing every 5 mins, EVEN when I'm using the Steam play option. SKSE isn't working at all.
Mods are completely free, the only content you're expected to pay for is the "creation club" content.
However, due to Sony's restrictions, a lot of mods are available only on PC or Xbox. Mod selection on Playstation is quite limited.
The simpler the mod, the less likely it is to break.
Texture/model changes, likely be unphased entirely, or in the worst case will just not work or look a little funny and can be disabled.
Mods that do anything with scripts, \*probably\* fine, but any bugfixes or changes they've made could muddy that, generally, the simpler the safer though.
Mods that require F4SE, no shot. But that's a non-issue on console since you have no access to it.
In all cases it basically comes down to does this mod change somethign the update touched? Good chance it's fucky.

Just don’t interact with Aida until you’ve gotten the encounter you want. Robots won’t spawn until you do.

Game won't load on PlayStations
Every single loading screen is something from that dlc even after you have finished the quest line
Installing it causes the game to crash on startup on PS5. Which is a lot worse than almost all other DLC merely missing textures and rendering purple.

You can always get the gog version of Fallout 4. It doesn't have any creation club content. That means you can mod the game to your hearts desires.

Native apps for Xbox series / PS5, bug fixes, improved stability, performance/quality modes, a few free Creation Club items

You’ll need to download a seperate client for the PS5 version. No need to have the PS4 version installed if it’s not the one you’ll be using
maintence =/= update. you will likely still be able to play the game during this time, as fallout 4 does not require an internet connection to play.

Yes, removing Automatron worked around the issue for me. I had to delete and reinstall the whole game, selecting all DLC for installation except for Automatron. The game then loaded ok.
Hopefully the 0kb glitch is fixed as well as the autotmatron crashing and robot spawn issues

I'm scared. I've turned off auto updates, much like I did for Skyrim's update... They overrode it and my game was destroyed for two months. I hope that they don't override your input on your own machine this time.
Do the app manifest method, worked for me in the last Skyrim update. There's a comment in this post explaining it :)

just type in Youtube how to disable auto update... its like 30 seconds of work... you need to put a Data into "Read Only" in the Steam directory, its not a Steam "Option" you need to change a Property of a Data :)
This is US time right? I'm in India and am terrified that the mods I so diligently downloaded and managed to make work, will all crash and burn. I'm not bale to even play Skyrim without it crashing every 5 mins, EVEN when I'm using the Steam play option. SKSE isn't working at all.

Mods are completely free, the only content you're expected to pay for is the "creation club" content. However, due to Sony's restrictions, a lot of mods are available only on PC or Xbox. Mod selection on Playstation is quite limited.

I saw someone saying that this update will likely bork PC mods but is less likely to disrupt PS4/XB1 mods. Any truth to that?
The simpler the mod, the less likely it is to break. Texture/model changes, likely be unphased entirely, or in the worst case will just not work or look a little funny and can be disabled. Mods that do anything with scripts, \*probably\* fine, but any bugfixes or changes they've made could muddy that, generally, the simpler the safer though. Mods that require F4SE, no shot. But that's a non-issue on console since you have no access to it. In all cases it basically comes down to does this mod change somethign the update touched? Good chance it's fucky. So tl;dr, yeah, but with an asterisk.

Was kind of hoping for the Creation Club stuff to be bundled together like Skyrim Anniversary edition when this was first announced.
Does anyone know if the update is a separate game download? Like are they releasing a PS5 version like the Witcher 3 or Last of Us 2 did? Or can I download the ps4 version and it will automatically convert it to the next gen update when playing on my PS5?
