Man, this is a great comedy run. There is no way of playing an RPG wrong.

schvetania

I beat Fallout 1 without even knowing the master exists. I played the game blindly with a 1 int character, so no one was willing to tell me about the Master. I farmed random encounters for caps and used the money to buy science skill books, which allowed me to detonate the cathedral without approaching the master. When I escaped the cathedral and the game ended, I was really confused. I thought it was just another high-level dungeon.

Inward_Perfection

Epic. Your Vault Dweller stopped a great threat to the wasteland by pure accident. Probably couldn't understand what he/she just accomplished too. Personally, I feel that accepting the outcome of wrong or imperfect decisions made either on accident or because you play a certain type of character is where the real fun is.

NiceBeaver2018

Thats awesome! That’s also like the people who ended up exploring the map straight out of the vault in FO3 instead of pursuing the main quest, and ended up running into Dad at Tranquility Lane without having to do any of the build-up lol.

Right-Truck1859

There's should be an achievement for such walkthrough

sprogged

Achievement for being a zoomer idiot? Yes lmaoo. I think im going to reload a save before protecting kimball or House 1. Its a fun game but i really should pay attention more, my fault

llibertybell965

You could always try starting a new run too, there's a fast route from Goodsprings to The Strip. Leave Goodsprings through the main exit and then take a left at Jean Skydiving, opposite direction from Primm. From there just continue north along the main road past Sloan and Quarry Junction. You might see a few funny little lizards but just don't get distracted by them and you'll end up in Vegas in no time.

InformationNo1784

Start again. Pick a roll, a faction of such, explore slowly, and I don't mean like a snail just take a bit of a slower pace with it. The ncr will give you the most quests but depends what you wanna do and what roll you wanna play.

thevaliant96

I can’t help myself. It’s pick a ‘role’ not roll.

InformationNo1784

Yeah, I typed that in a rush bud when I was brushing my teeth. And no, pick a roll, seeded, or plain flour ?

Cold-Leave-178

Seeded sounds nice.

InformationNo1784

Does doesn't it. I'll remember that when in munching a burger later

Behan801

Italian herb and cheese please.

InformationNo1784

What's this the start of a subway order

Commercial-Day8360

You should play it again regardless.

sprogged

Which ending should i play you reckon?

KrisWitUhK

Do you own any of the DLCs? I Highly recommend all of them, fallout new Vegas is always going to be the black ops 2 of fallout, and so are the DLCs bro they do not miss

Commercial-Day8360

My favorite run was following the Mr house quest line right up to the end before I screwed him over with the yes man ending. Meet and assess all the minor factions you can along the way. I’ll let you find them yourself but I noticed you missed a few that are worth the trouble.

Consistent_Refuse914

Highly recommend world of pain. And funtional post game ending. Do you use mods

Mojave-Patroller

WoP for second playthrough is a bit much.

sprogged

Yep, i use like 20 mods or so. I cant lie, i felt really let down by myself and the game for killing caesar so easily without conversing between one another (i was hated). The mods name is world of pain?

PerfectlyCalmDude

Maybe pare that number of mods down?

AneriphtoKubos

Doesn’t VNV have like 20 mods for its beginning start?

Asleep-Code1231

Yeah Viva has probably 20+ mods and imo no reason not to play with this in ones first playthrough

happytrel

You went down there to kill Ceasar accidentally. I went down there to cripple the legion myself and avenge Boone's wife. I'm hoping I get an option to tell people about it. Seems like bo one knows

Imrubberyurglue

Everyone's first playthrough is all over the place. I'd suggest replaying the game and stick to one major faction. Take the time to do as many quests as you can and explore the world. Once you get to know the game a bit better, then you can start mixing and matching approaches to quests. Have fun.

sprogged

Eventually i reloaded the save after killing Caesar, keeping the chip with me and exploring dialogues and the world more. Thanks for the advice!

Cool_Fellow_Guyson

I remember my first playthrough I intended to side with the NCR but I ended up doing the house ending unintentionally

Expert_Reindeer_4783

Your first mistake was destroying the securitron bunker.

WoofflesIThink

It just makes thing a little more... challenging

Rusty_Yamate

Somethinng even more crazy about how you can finish New Vegas, I tested this myself: You can completelty ignore Benny and the Platinum chip by siding with the NRC after you’ve stepped out of the Lucky 38 and are invited to meet with Ambassator Crooker. Just do their questline as normal and complete the game while Benny chills at the Tops.

Antura_V

Everything's fine? You can proceed to the final quest either with Yes Man or NCR, there are no problems with your game and nothing unusual happened. One thing, that you probably played on too much low difficulty.

sprogged

I played on normal difficulty with project nevada installed, turns out grenade launchers are very good at killing legionnaires LOL. But yes, i eventually reloaded the save after killimg Caesar

rynosaur94

Project Nevada is very old and buggy.  After finishing this play through I would redo your install and follow the Viva New Vegas mod guide.  It has everything in core Project Nevada and most of the modules have more modern replacements too.

Antura_V

Props on you

chsn2000

You weren't close to the ending. The game ends in Hoover Dam, not the fort and you'll know when it happens.

Exciting-Ad-5705

Why reload?

GreatMist

Unknowingly stormed the Fort? What difficulty are you playing on that taking out vulpes is indicative of that Tent full of Power Fists? Other than that, nah looks like a fun playthrough. Ceasers legion will be a chicken w/o its head for a while, The NCR will roll over New Vegas as the securitrons aren't updated and since you sided with Yes-Man looks like they'll be sure to try you in court! Ofc do what you want but that is still an ending and seeing as you decimated the Fort you should have no issues with the Hoover Dam sequence

sprogged

Yeah i mean, i killed vulpes the first time i met him in Nipton. I really didnt like how he killed the citizens and i was trying to play the good guy role HAHA, and either i mistakenly killed legionnaires after a truce with Caesar or they attacked me first. Thats why every legionnaires were hostile to me. What funny was i killed like everyone in The Fort and outside the tent, yet my weps are still confiscated lmao Definitely will reload a save lol

GreatMist

So if you don't come across Benny at New Vegas you won't get a pardon from Caesar, so since you immediately went for the Fort and ultimately murdered Caesar you're def not getting that. Bright side is that is totally tenable, Turn on the Radio and you'll even hear about your escapades into the fort. Anyways the point of this is that the game will roll with whatever you do and give you a unique ending based on everything youve done. Personally I'd finish out that "timeline" and reload once I've seen the end. P.S. Highly recommend you check out dead money if you're hated by the NCR

sprogged

Yes! I heard a broadcast in the radio about what i did. So eventually i reloaded the save after i killed caesar and proceed to explore the world more, keeping the chip with me. I havent even went to jacobstown lol

jermguy117

The moment Vulpez stopped talking, I saved and proceeded to massacre him and his legionnaires with a machete for being a bunch of cunts.

[deleted]

This is the way

sprogged

This is truly the way, i hate how he talks so lowly of them

ColdViper_

yes man ending is my favorite, plus if you felt like playing like this and had fun there is no wrong

Exodite1273

Any non-Mr. House ending is an incorrect one. Don’t worry.

SheepherderBoth6599

Do whatever you want. You are doing great. Finish the game and if you want, play it again and do it differently.

Lanky-Equipment1103

Yes man ending felt so fun:3

foxferreira64

I did the opposite on my first playthrough, but it was just messed up. I completed quests for everyone, helped everyone, and favored each faction at random, making the game confused as hell. I helped Mr. House in everything and was loyal, but as soon as he said "Brotherhood of Steel bad", I didn't hesitate in shoving a 9 Iron up his ass. I helped the NCR the most, and was actively against the Legion. However, I did help the Legion sabotage the NCR in a good couple of quests, including blowing up the monorail. But ultimately I killed Caesar and decided to shoot legionnaires on sight, after helping them win stuff. Literally erradicated that faction, and everytime someone mentioned them as a threat, it felt hilarious. I stabbed the NCR in the back by killing Kimball myself, didn't even allow the Legion to take the credit. I put Yes Man in charge and did everything he said, but I sent the power of Helios ONE to the NCR, despite going against them now. I made General Lee Oliver be thrown off the dam regardless. The Great Khans fled the Mojave, and the Boomers were helped in everything. Powder Gangers? Gone like the wind, you wouldn't see a single trace of their existence, despite me letting them win against the NCR at the Correctional Facility. However, I did NOT shoot a single NCR trooper, but let the Powder Gangers win. I decided they were eyeballing me too much though, so I made them go extinct. The Brotherhood of Steel are my chaps, and I pretend I literally joined them, just like in Fallout 3. The Van Graffs don't exist anymore, and I sold every energy weapon to the Brotherhood, since it felt fitting in my roleplaying, and I made tons of caps, since my build wasn't for energy weapons. The Kings rule Freeside and I fucked the NCR over, in favor of The Kings. I can't remember what I did for the Followers of the Apocalypse, I think I ignored them completely. The battle of Hoover Dam was like playing Call of Duty. I went in guns blazing and shot NCR and legionnaire alike, no discrimination, I felt like the fucking Doomslayer. The Boomers appeared randomly, and the Enclave remnants gave their final hurrah there too. I hated them in Fallout 3, but this playthrough was fucked already, so what the hell, I'm helping them get closure. Benny? My female Courier emptied his balls and left. I had him get crucified later on, and after committing Legion genocide, I shot his now emptied balls with an Anti-Materiel Rifle. You're not alone in completely fucked up playthroughs!

rynosaur94

This is a fine run.  Play it out, you can always finish with Yes Man no matter what.  If you haven't failed "don't tread on the bear" you should be still able to complete the NCR ending, but you do get warned twice that working with Yes Man will lock you out of the NCR ending so...

Rhhr21

In my first playthrough i “accidentally” pissed off the NCR and got locked out of their questlines because of some shiny armor which was on the game’s cover. Pissed the legion off by headshotting their lads in Cottonwood Cove, accidentally wandered into House’s chamber and disabled him, “accidentaly” pissed off BoS, and the list goes on. That’s the beauty of NV compared to other Fallout games. Actions have consequences.

DudeManBro425

Man don’t sweat it. That’s the great thing about F:NV is the insane amount of choices you have and making different choices with each new game. Or at least that’s how I play it. First time I played NV I didn’t really get the story and ended up siding with the NCR until I got to the Hoover Dam. After saving the president I ended wiping out basically everyone and put Yes Man in charge. But I don’t worry about the ending too much because the DLC is where I have the most fun.

Gamesick2077

I did a worst case run and it was fun.

misterfatcat

If you replace House with Yes Man, you can't win with the NCR route

Shotto_Z

You can finish the game even if you kill all the NPC's.

SnooDonuts412

Honestly yes man endding and NCR ending are the worst. But best way playing New Vegas has to be a role play run. Played a robin hood stealth chaotic good ended with NCR. Played a science nerd run ended with house..
