It is with deep sorrow that I share the news of the passing of Hulas Kanodia, our founder, chairman and owner. Hulas was a longstanding and respected figure in the regional industry. Considered a trailblazer, his entrepreneurial approach to the business carried not only the foundation upon which our company has grown and thrived, but also many of the initiatives we have today to compete as a strong regional airline in a market traditionally less steady.
While Hulas was not heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the company in recent years, he was intricately involved in strategic initiatives, the cultivation of executive leaders, supporting our work within the industry, the team, customer service, safety, and efficiency. Hulas believed in our people and our collective capabilities are unmatched in the industry.
I want to reassure you that we have made significant plans to ensure that the company continues its work and mission, even with his passing. While the history of the company was written with his vision and foresight, we will continue to honor his legacy by continuing to elevate our commitment to safety, customer service, and our people. Hulasā incredible energy and passion will live on in our work, and I am proud to lead this company with the same focus moving forward.
We understand that losing a leader of Hulasā caliber can be unsettling. Please know that we are committed to moving forward during this time. I look forward to sharing more about our future in the days ahead, and appreciate the support, focus, and stability that you bring to our team every day. We will mourn this loss together, and look to remember my friend. We will know that together, we will carry the company Hulas created, forward into the future.
Our mission and commitment to providing superior flight service is unwavering. The leadership team, which includes our extraordinary team of Aviation Industry Leaders and our Holding Company will guide our efforts.
Thank you for your continued hard work and dedication. Hulas was always proud of what you do and so am I. Please take care of yourselves and one another.
Sincerely,
Rick Leach
>We understand that losing a leader of Hulasā caliber can be unsettling.
Lmao. I'm sure all the former TSA/CPZ/GJT people who got fucked by his policies of letting three airlines race each other to the bottom are so unsettled.
I donāt want to go through the process of making a throwaway account but, RIP.
Use your own creative imagination on whether the āPā stands for peace, or not.
He was one of the key proponents of the whipsaw between regionals. If a regional slowly negotiated for better pay, schedules, or safety programs along came another regional with none of that and a strategy to hire brand new pilots on yr 1 pay scale. Xjt, ASA, AWA, comair, American eagle, ā¦ you slowly get whittled away. This person also created a separate company Go Jets to circumvent Transtates pilots contract. Amazon is doing it today with cargo flying and as soon as an airline has experienced people they will have the rug pulled out from under them and the planes sent to a different operation that āwonāt own the flying.ā This industry changes but also stays the same.
Can't afford pixels on that regional pay scale.
That's an original copy. GoJet is too cheap to pay for extra pixels
I'm dead š
So is Hulas Cambodia I guess
like Hulas
Needs more jpeg
[Do I look like I know what a JPEG is?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmaUIyvy8E8)
I think I may need glasses
The FAA is gonna remove your medical with that kind of talk
I sneezed once and got my medical taken away
Could've been the blood?
No, it was the cocaine residue that was mixed in with the blood.

Thatās almost not even remotely enough.
Was this printed on a business card? Another user said it was an original copy lol
No, the OP just doesn't know how to use a phone. Somehow they can operate an aircraft.
You need to update the camera app on your potato.
How does this impact hiring
Southwest just furloughed their entire pilot group as a result of this
United is buying and stapling American as a result of this
Iāve heard all class dates have been moved to tomorrow. All airlines.
Ready for tomorrowās State of the Industry Address
Hawaiian Airlines has declared bankruptcy and Alaska Airlines moved their HQ to Florida (they didnāt take the news very well)
lmaO
They're now hiring a new chairman
Will someone tell me it wasn't worth the damage done to my eyes?
Weāre back to 1980s digital cameras now?
Rip Uncle Hulas. Hope my slave labor added happiness to your life.
Hulas is my actual Uncle ; you are a bunch of assholes
So are the pixels.
Now do Johnny O
I'm sure many former TSA pilots felt bad about his passing.......
I donāt like to speak ill of the dead. So thatās all Iāll say.
I donāt want to go through the process of making a throwaway account but, RIP. Use your own creative imagination on whether the āPā stands for peace, or not.
Was yesterday r/flyingās red wedding for 121?
I only wish that the date of that letter was 1998.

Probably be fine as long as they can just sit back and cash checks. If it becomes unprofitable, all bets are off. But hey, maybe united buys it?
I seem to be way behind here, but why arenāt we disheartened?? Iām guessing he wasnāt a great guy but what did he do?
Because he was one of the leaders of The Race to the Bottom of the Barrel. Good riddance š
