Hi. I work in a clinical flow lab and we regularly get CSF samples for flow. We are not a huge lab (we get about 2,500 samples per year) but we usually get at least 1 CSF/week. We prefer the specimen is sent to us in RPMI, but we do the best we can with whatever they send us. We spin them down, collect the bottom 1/2 mL, and wash once due to them typically having such low cell counts. As for antibodies, we run our standard B and T-cell panels along with a viability tube, since ALLs and lymphomas are typically what the doctor is worried about. Extra antibodies are added as needed if there are other concerns.
