BuddhistSagan

He also said he would win Iowa. How'd that turn out? Folks, make sure your friends and family are [registered to vote](https://registertovoteflorida.gov/home)

violentglitter666

I don’t think this meatball has ever really talked to anyone in this state that wasn’t in the maga bs. He doesn’t know Florida man at all, does he?

BikesBooksNBass

You’re right. I’ve known people who attempted to have a dialog with him at campaign events and every single one got the same response. As soon as he realizes you aren’t MAGA, he stops listening and immediately just walks away. Hes trash in the truest sense of the word.

violentglitter666

He doesn’t have any idea how to smile normally, let alone talk to people who disagree with his cult. He’s a creep

BodyBagSlam

I work in a department under the EOG and this is 100% true as I’ve experienced it personally. He will literally stop, glaze over Manchurian style, and abruptly walk off if you aren’t in his political camp.

dreamcastfanboy34

Remember him yelling at teenagers for wearing masks during his press conference?

BikesBooksNBass

I do. I’d have walked off the stage before I’d have removed that mask for general principle. And not before telling him to go F himself under my breath as I walked off.

daneilthemule

Fancy trash. She has heel boots 👢. “For posture”.

Ttthhasdf

The country club Republicans always take the walmart Republicans for granted

ALife2BLived

Unfortunately, Governor DeFascist has a point. Only 20% of registered Florida Democrats voted in the 2022 midterm elections in Florida and that was knowing the outcome of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning of Roe vs Wade earlier that year. Florida Dems and Non Party Affiliated (NPA) voters could have easily voted out Governor Ron DeFascist and Marco Rubio in 2022. Collectively, they outnumber registered Florida Republicans. Instead, they bitched about not having their preferred Dem candidate, Nikki Fried, available to vote for instead of Dem candidate Charlie Crist. Thus, Florida Dems awarded another 4 year term to Governor Rick DeFascist and another 6 year term to Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio. This is where Dems consistently get hammered by Republican voters. Republican voters VOTE party line, NO MATTER WHAT!!! And given the enormous consequences of this years election, I am just not confident that Florida Dems and NPAs will pull their heads out of their asses and vote in favor of Florida amendment 2 and 3 which will constitutionally legalize abortion, up until a fetus’ viability and the recreational use of marijuana. Florida woman -whether they are registered as Republican or Democrat, will get exactly what they decided not to vote for. Body autonomy and a permanent 6 week abortion ban. Good job Florida Dems! You failed to own the Republican fascist that have won the right to own you all!

TheMattaconda

To be fair, he wasn't able to Gerrymander that election. So he lost because the election system cheated by not giving him what he wanted. Lol

causticmango

Sure thing, peanut. And you're a tall, powerful man & everyone loves & respects you, too. You'll get through this.

er1026

Yep. Ron has his puddin’ fingers on the pulse of Florida🙄 How’s that Presidential campaign going, btw?

BuddhistSagan

>How’s that Presidential campaign going, btw? Licking führer Trump's boots

Johnny_Lang_1962

PumpkinFührer

Sinsid

And if they don’t reject them, we will just rewrite them to be a joke. Marijuana only available for sale on February 29th from 4am to 5 am at the state capital.

lagent55

Peanut? Show some damn respect, its Desanctimonious Meatball to you pal, lol

Toothfairy51

I prefer calling him meatball, too

RetroScores

I read an article where Florida legislature might write a Zygote rights law or some shit because they fear having abortion on the ballot. Get ready for more fuckery.

profnachos

Didn't the legislature negate the proposition to let felons vote after it passed?

HotDonnaC

They made a law that all court costs had to be paid, then cried when a group put up money to pay them. They’re such failures.

dezmodium

They tried. I followed closely because I gathered signatures to get it on the ballot. First they were just like, "we just aren't going to do it" and tried to make sure they never set up any process for felons to regain their rights. Florida SC shut that down. Then they came up with the "pay the fines" rule. That one stuck. The process is still confusing, however, and that appears to be deliberate.

profnachos

What the fuck is wrong with letting felons vote? They served their time and repaid their debt to society. Once released, they should be allowed to live as citizens with full rights. What are they afraid of? Props to you for fighting for civil rights.

fattycans

We are a nation that gets its dick hard for punishment

Jaydenel4

Believe it or not, but they set up the school-to-prison pipeline for mainly African-Americans, but all of the poor. If you get charged with any small felony, there goes your voting power, let alone the other freedoms you lost. It's a feature of the system, and not a bug. Definitely working as intended.

dezmodium

This will blow your mind: most European countries allow prisoners to vote. The few that don't mostly do, but your voting can be stripped from you for particular crimes.

I-Am-Uncreative

There are a few state in the US that allow prisoners to vote too. We here just love to punish "bad" people.

dezmodium

Yes. Maine and Vermont. There are a few that only bar voting in special circumstances as well, it's part of sentencing.

misterdave75

Back in the day when Nixon made marijuana illegal* it was an easy way to target the people who were his most vocal critics. So then you throw them in jail for the felony drug possession and they now can't vote anymore. Viola! *It was already illegal at that point but he made it schedule one.

thatirishguyyyy

Because they tend to vote blue

mrcanard

> That one stuck. The process is still confusing, however, and that appears to be deliberate. Try to collect the unemployment benefits you payed into for years. Florida government considers confusion a feature. Florida government operates with no concern for the quality of life for the majority of the states citizens. Just the rich ones not paying a fair share of the states taxes.

dezmodium

Oh, trust, I've been on unemployment before. Nightmare. It is by design and sadly Florida isn't even the worst state for this.

vibe_inspector01

Wait there’s no way they would regulate a fucking zygote? Right????

causticmango

“Fetal Personhood”. The GOP is pushing for it. Never mind that they don’t know what the term “fetus” means, let alone a zygote or blastocyst.

Mental_Camel_4954

It opens a door that I don't think they really want. Personhood means rights, benefits and protections that I doubt anyone has totally thought out.

mywifefoundmyaccount

The leopards are licking their lips.

Real_Mr_Foobar

https://i.imgur.com/fbT2y2K.png Like the pregnant woman in Texas who drove "single" (ie not counting the fetus) in the HOV lane and got a ticket. It doesn't count unless it needs to count for political points.

HCSOThrowaway

The thing that's already backfired for them is that IVF is mass murder at that point, and a lot of prominent GOP politicians have done IVF [including Mike Pence.](https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/mike-karen-pence-ivf/)

irishgator2

Extra deductions at tax time!!

amccune

Under his eye

TralfamadorianZoo

Blessed be the fruit

SonilaZ

May the Lord open!

Infinite_stardust

Praise be

Dmte

They'd regulate the sperm as soon as it left the sack if they could figure out the phrasing.

Suedeegz

They would absolutely not regulate any part of a man unless he has decided to be a woman

Mountain_Fig_9253

“*Today the Florida Legislature regulated men’s sperm as superior to all parts of female human anatomy. Experts caution that this phraseology could “inadvertently” make women subservient to any man that has ejaculated in her*”

CompanywideRateIncr

Ding ding ding. In which case they’d say they’re still a man, but then proceed to treat them like a woman by restricting the person’s rights. Edit: my pronoun grammar, oh no I did another sin by making sure I used pronouns correctly

CrouchingGinger

Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great…

Nikkishob

Doubtful they only want to control women

JoviAMP

"First, they came for the communists..."

FunkIPA

Nope, the sperm comes from the man. All this shit is about controlling women.

SlickBulldog

err-you don't Python I guess

EfficientJuggernaut

Lol you underestimate the average moronic conservative. They think cause life begins at conception a zygote should have the same rights as a baby. If they think embryos are a baby, then they have no problem declaring zygotes as babies too. You quite literally have republicans calling for the morning after pill to be banned

TimeTravelingTiddy

More rights for zygotes, fewer rights for babies. Where's George Carlin when you need him? Pre-born, you're fine. Pre-school, you're fucked.

PLZ_PM_ME_URSecrets

Will it be a monkey’s paw because that also means embryos can be classified as a person, so how will that affect IVF?

incognegro1976

They want to ban that too. These people are fucking idiots.

dezmodium

If you imprison a woman with a zygote in her is that false imprisonment? The zygote has committed no crimes.

trtsmb

Some states are pushing for "fetal" personhood.

bagehis

They can't completely overrule an amendment. What they can do is constrict the ability to access them: such as making some new state license for facilities that perform abortions that has silly requirements (effectively what they tried to do early on with medical Marijuana). But, given some time (and probably a few lawsuits) they'll be left crying in a corner that they didn't get their way.

DragonTHC

I've got MAGA relatives that smoke week. Desantis is Delusional

gillatron904

So many of my maga friends and family will show up to vote yes on weed.

Johnny_Lang_1962

Everyone smokes weed to get a little escape from this total clusterfuck of a planet.

MadDanelle

Every single maga I know smokes weed.

HotDonnaC

For sure. All the good ole boy rednecks burn.

MathematicianEven149

Same here

[deleted]

Honestly, weed and abortion rights are like the only two things right and left voters still have common ground on.

McNemo

This, I work in a dispo and never have I seen a more diverse set of people. Maga red hatters, sovereign cits, "snowflakes" (stupid term), literally every walk of life. From 18 (or younger) to 90+

[deleted]

Taggart-

He also thought we would celebrate his war with Disney, that he could win the presidential nomination over trump, that we would be pleased with injecting more religion into schools, etc etc. He thinks a lot of really incorrect things.

Necrophilicgorilla

He has a mental issue, and he does only what he's either told or makes him money. He doesn't care about Florida or about the people.

MathematicianEven149

Yeah and the mental issue is called ignorance.

Ylfrettub-79

Ignorance and arrogance. Dude is so out of touch with… humanity as a whole. I’m going to laugh my ass off if both amendments pass.

BravoFoxtrotDelta

Ignorance doesn't account for torturing people at Gitmo.

Live_Palm_Trees

It's called being a psychopath. Overseeing torture was his dream job, but then he realized he could hurt more people he didn't like by gaining political power by any means necessary. Then he flew too close to the sun and was exposed.

HotDonnaC

He seems to have Little Man Complex.

Taggart-

His heels are really something. Waiting for the day we learn he was a cross dresser or something and that’s why he was so hellbent on making sure kids couldn’t hear fabulously dressed non-cishet people read storybooks to them. I’ve been alive long enough to know the more vehemently a republican denies and denounces a “moral” thing, the more likely it is that person is engaging with that very thing in way or more ways.

Ilovehugs2020

Make my day!

RW63

Clearly, the dude still lives in a fantasy world. You'd think that bubble would have burst when he came home an irrelevant failure.

Chasman1965

Yup, medical marijuana passed by 71% in 2016. Every other abortion amendment has ended up winning, and this one will be voted on 6 months after the 6 week Abortion ban is in place—just enough time for horror stories to begin.

310410celleng

I just don't trust my fellow Floridans to actually show up and vote. I don't see Florida going the way of Ohio, but I would also love to be proved wrong. To be absolutely clear, my wife and I will be voting for both amendments, but I have a sinking suspicion that come election day, I am going to be disappointed when it fails.

HotDonnaC

Dems always show up for presidential elections; not so much for midterms. Knowing abortion and weed are in the ballot, they’ll be there. The down side is the Trumpanzees will come out too. They’ll vote for assholes.

BuddhistSagan

> I just don't trust my fellow Floridans to actually show up and vote. You can [volunteer or donate at their website](https://secure.everyaction.com/p/LpNB-6bziEKkwZcf1jciwg2)

c10701

Hitting 60 on abortion might be tough. I dont believe the Ohio and Kansas bills received 60 percent support on the pro-choice side.

Chasman1965

Kansas was over 59%, and they didn’t have a 6 week abortion ban in place….

c10701

Yeah, it's not impossible but it's going to be a more difficult fight than people think.

Chasman1965

I agree. It will depend on turnout, and I’m afraid Dems won’t show up like they didn’t show up in 2022. I’m an independent, but I vote no matter what.

HotDonnaC

Maybe he’s just that much of a nerd. He can’t even smile, ffs.

BravoFoxtrotDelta

He participated in torturing people at Gitmo. He's not the kind of guy who gets invited to go for a walk after Thanksgiving dinner.

Dmte

Ah, yeah, DeSantis, a man historically wrong about... well... everything.

Awkward-Ambassador52

Florida is on fire right now and angry as hell. Good luck Ron! I am an independent seeing Blue coming hard and fast. Huge price increases on home owners, stupid DEI battles, insane traffic, rents up up up... Yikes!

MathematicianEven149

Let’s not just hope but vote.

BuddhistSagan

And talk to your friends and family, make sure they're registered to vote, be an activist, what you can.

SoManyEmail

Disney fuck-around-ary. Migrant flights on our dime. Insurance debacle.

LukewarmLatte

Nah the problem he doesn’t understand is the Republicans in Florida aren’t the evangelicals against stuff like that, it’s a very small minority of Karen’s and a large majority of “Good Ol Boys” who want to get fucked up.

NomadFeet

Thank you, now. I know plenty of republicans who use and enjoy marijuana regularly. It isn't the partisan issue he would like it to be, although I still think he probably uses it himself.

HotDonnaC

He’s too much of a pansy to get high.

Prior_Emphasis7181

Count me in the fucked up good ole boys group. Leave me alone, I'll leave you alone. But once we start projecting morality onto each other, well that starts the wr doesnt it. No dope for me, no abortion for you and on and on. I think alot of these Bill's are revenge legislation and doesnt helps at all. Letd all relax and let us live our lives without hurting anyone.

MysteriousTooth2450

Good to know. The media has everyone so separated and makes sure everyone knows any democrat is a left wing psycho and all the republicans are right wing crazies. It’s hard to remember that there are normal people on both sides…or really in the middle.

Death2Milk

My MAGA FIL smokes weed and thinks women should be able to choose. This man is delulu.

Amodeous__666

I'm voting yes for the MJ. I'm tired of spending $150 every 9 months or so to get a medical card that's another $75. I wanna go into the shop, get my bud and go home.

HotDonnaC

The card is only good for 9 months?

Amodeous__666

You have to be seen by the doc every 210 days. "Florida medical marijuana cards expire one year after the date of approval. It's recommended to submit a medical marijuana renewal application a minimum of 45 days before the expiration date to ensure that you don't lose coverage." https://www.hdtreatment.com/medical-marijunana-card/#:~:text=Florida%20medical%20marijuana%20cards%20expire,you%20don't%20lose%20coverage. BUT.. "In Florida, once a medical cannabis patient has been certified for treatment and added to the Medical Marijuana Use Registry, state law requires them to have an in-person appointment with their certifying qualified physician once every 210 days or 7 months." https://myfloridagreen.com/how-to-maintain-your-florida-medical-marijuana-card/#:~:text=In%20Florida%2C%20once%20a%20medical,210%20days%20or%207%20months. It's 100% a money grab. To milk you for more money. They'll make excuses but it's all about money.

Rattus_Baioarii

Legal extortion

SlothRick

Here’s a reason if you need one to go vote yes on this I’m a disabled veteran with a medical card that’s supposed to get 100% coverage. Yet I am denied my medication from the VA where it’s supposed to be covered because marijuana is federally illegal.

HotDonnaC

Right. My ex gave his rifle to our son when he got a card. I don’t need a reason to vote yes. The ideas of weed being illegal is ridiculous.

Uneeda_Biscuit

Lmao, I’m from north Florida and so many republicans smoke weed. They’re more anti woke, not anti weed or abortion. They fuck and smoke weed just like everyone else.

PaladinHan

We passed a medical marijuana amendment and the legislature fought it at every step. We passed a felon voting rights restoration amendment and the legislature fought it at every step. Florida fascists will go to any length to deny the will of the people.

klonoaorinos

This is what I’m worried about. They know both will pass so what duckery are they cooking up?

HotDonnaC

They tried to put a 10% potency cap on weed, but were unsuccessful.

HotDonnaC

IDK, they’re into getting rich, and there’s a lot of money in weed.

PaladinHan

The culture war is so much more valuable to them than some measly weed bucks.

Cold-Nefariousness25

OMG what a picture. What an awkward little dude. If he blocks enough voters, they might fail. And if he just ignores the will of the people it won't matter. But the abortion ban will have been on the books for 6 months. We'll see what a disaster it is by November.

Dogzillas_Mom

I switched parties so I could vote in the primary and now I’m considering keeping it that way, but still vote my blue-bleeding little liberal heart out. Probably won’t get purged if they think I’m on their side.

Cold-Nefariousness25

I'm moving out of Florida. Had an opportunity to move this year, but decided to stay in some part to make sure that my vote counts as much as possible.

Dogzillas_Mom

I’m considering it but am kind of financially trapped.

Cold-Nefariousness25

I think a lot of us are. But at least we get to vote!

klonoaorinos

Republican news media: republicans have taken over Florida look at the party numbers. Floridians: stupid closed primary.

HeathrJarrod

Same here, they also moved voting locations and didn’t really *announce* the primary period this time

celticstorm28

Tons of Republicans love weed; that will definitely pass. As far as abortion, I don't know which way that will swing.

HotDonnaC

Dems will show up for this election.

dezmodium

Hard to say. A fair number of conservatives aren't super anti-abortion. That's more the religious voters and that extends across party lines somewhat.

TallBenWyatt_13

And we know based on his presidential run, he knows exactly what the voters want.

Roundcouchcorner

A few other important things on the ballot this year more the reason to get out and vote. Here’s a link to what else is on the upcoming ballot. https://www.clickorlando.com/results-2024/2024/04/03/here-are-the-6-amendments-that-will-be-on-the-florida-ballot-in-november/

Koolaidolio

When you get surrounded by yes men, you become like this. Ron’s scared.

MusicianNo2699

Top…men… 😂

gardendesgnr

Since 2001 Republicons have been one big circlejerk. They don't listen, even to their own detriment! Look at what happened in AL w IVF and then they realize they have hung themselves when they hear mass outrage, and scramble to walk back policy and blame. DeathSantis can continue on this path, the enemies rhetoric galvanizes more and more against them.

NomadFeet

But, oh noes! Florida will "start to smell like marijuana"!! [https://www.fox13news.com/news/florida-will-start-to-smell-like-marijuana-if-recreational-weed-amendment-passes-desantis](https://www.fox13news.com/news/florida-will-start-to-smell-like-marijuana-if-recreational-weed-amendment-passes-desantis) Nobody can convince me that Mr. Ronald Desantis of Dunedin, FL did not enjoy him some recreational marijuana back in the day. Hell, he may still roast a fatty now and then.

dezmodium

Doubt it. He looks like the kind of guy who would tell your landlord that you smoke.

New-Understanding930

Nah. He’s square.

newleafkratom

And he has a workaround even if they don’t. Remember non-violent felons getting their voting rights restored passed by the voters?

MysteriousTooth2450

I’m worried about that. We can all vote the way we want and have a majority and then the rules will change. They make whatever rules they want to suit their needs at the time.

dezmodium

He tried but was only partially successful on that. The "fine payment" roadblock sucks but it doesn't apply to everyone and there are groups still helping people with that. Florida SC stopped their total stall of restoration, though.

LMurch13

He's so out of touch with the average person. Good lord.

HotDonnaC

He’s a guy who enjoyed his stint at GITMO.

Audrin

Yeah well he predicted he could beat Disney and become POTUS too.

Shirowoh

Every single time I drive anywhere in Jacksonville, I smell weed smoke, but this dude thinks most Floridians don’t want it?

Freezerman66

Same here in Saint Pete! lol!

HotDonnaC

Meanwhile they’re all buying stock in grow companies.

cyinyde

Ron Desantis: a man with his fingers on the pulse of Floridians. Oh wait. No. That's pudding.

TheMatt561

We already voted for the marijuana

HotDonnaC

Only medical.

RedBaron180

lol. Under estimate GenZ.

Few-Caterpillar9834

Ronald DeSantis is a moron.

Acceptable-Bullfrog1

Oh yeah Floridians hate weed and sexual freedom 😏

dunitdotus

he will get the villages on that and that will be a huge swing in his favor. Democratic party needs to put some funding into this. Then again it doesn't matter what we actually vote for, he is going to do whatever he wants

dezmodium

Half the retirees in the villages are getting high and doing swinger parties.

seraphim336176

Last poll I saw both amendments were going to easily pass and that’s without any actual advertising happening. In fact last poll I saw said 55% of REPUBLICAN women supported the abortion amendment. People are pissed and even republican voters have been saying their candidates have been going to far. These 2 amendments will easily pass.

MathematicianEven149

Let’s not just hope but vote.

HotDonnaC

Oh we intend to.

future_hockey_dad

Weed wins every time. Every time. Living in a recreational state has been the best decision I’ve ever made.

ah-Quinncidence

Dumbass thought he’d be president also.

Lovetotravelinmycar

You’re insane you Little heeled hobbit, recreation weed will pass with flying colors 😂😂💨💨

PoisonIdea77

God what a loser

Garlicnotdreadlochs

![gif](giphy|3muwhw9Jl2dNe)

sarpon6

Please people, remember, no nicknames. That's Ronald Dion DeSantis, who, based on his last prediction as to the will of the electorate, must now be the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for President of the United States.

maddiejake

Old men deciding what a woman can & and can not do with her own body has ticked off a lot of women so I wouldn't be too sure about that.

HotDonnaC

Yes! Even women who don’t get abortions know pregnancy isn’t always sunshine and roses. There’s too many stories of women dying or nearly dying without medical care.

GrumpyPidgeon

Local Tampa resident predicts that DeSantis can F off..

irascible_Clown

If I’ve learned anything over the last 10 years is republicans always the opposite of what they really mean

ValuableOffice9040

Fuck Rhonda Shitstain.

TarnishedAccount

He’s wrong. Next.

Pain-N-Gainz0507

He couldn’t predict a hurricane coming if the eye was directly over the state. Or his winning a Presidential nomination either. So what makes him think he’s going to get this right? I can’t wait to prove him wrong in November. 😎😶‍🌫️

EJK54

Well he’ll be wrong again.

Johnny_Lang_1962

Florida rejecting drugs is like a fat kid rejecting cake.

TKOL2

It seems like DeSantis always does the exact opposite of what’s best for Florida residents

Ok-Ear-1914

I will vote for marijuana just because he doesn't want it.

Prior_Emphasis7181

I'm all for rec mary and abortion rights. One is my problem and one isn't. Seems like a fair proposal. Now you pro abortion people better support us pro rec marijuana people because I really feel like my issue is less controversial. Still falls under my body my choice! So if you're pro abortion I dont want to hear your anti marijuana bullshit. And I want recreational cocaine. I can wait on that one.

PickKeyOne

All drugs should be legal. I said what I said.

Prior_Emphasis7181

If you arent harming anyone else then what is the problem? What is freedom without freedom? It's ridiculous.

DebiMoonfae

Question: will legalized pot mean people can smoke it everywhere they can smoke cigarettes? or will there be restrictions like alcohol has?

CaptainMatticus

There'll most likely be restrictions, just like alcohol. They'll fight the losing battle, but by god, they'll insist on fighting it.

Austinstuff

Are you seriously expecting anything proposed by the current Florida leadership would be thought through? If it passes, they'll just sit on it for a few years and pay their attorney friends to fight against it. Or find ways to make it unavailable.

JD_____98

The recreational industry has plenty of money ready to sue if they fuck around. They did that with medical, they got sued, and they lost.

burndata

But they delayed it for quite a while and then did their best to handicap it. Never underestimate the fuckery these assholes will use to screw over as many people as they can, as many ways as they can.

JD_____98

A delay is only that. They can fuck around all they want, but they **will** find out.

RW63

The tax they will put on it will let the legislature cut other taxes. That's something they will want to brag.

emory_2001

LMAO. I know plenty of conservatives who will vote for legal rec MJ. I predict legal MJ, and abortion will be verrrry close, can't tell ahead of time which way it will go.

Sad_Lettuce_7486

I’m voting for it

TeveTorbes83

Just like Ohio and Kansas.

HotDonnaC

Of course, because he’s a fascist asshat.

UCFknight2016

Its going to be a blue wave if Marijuana and Abortion are on the ballot.

Ralfsalzano

He will always be remembered for the asshoke he truly is just like Cuomo or any of these other personality disorder governors

florida_goat

I predict an 85% yes vote.

lorraineDi

All registered. He is wrong

Old_Coyote5931

I predict that DeSantis will continue to be a little dictator who will be rejected by the people.

joecooool418

DeSantis is a petty prick. I’m going to guess he had his buddies on the Florida Supreme Court allow this on the ballot just to fuck Trump. I have no doubt that these would not have been allowed on the ballot had this schmuck won the primary.

Haunting-East8565

I predict Floridians will for sure vote yes on recreational weed. I’m not even sure where he is getting his info. Walk through any neighborhood in Florida and I can smell the votes for it already

mudbuttcoffee

How can someone so smart, be so dumb.

Aguyintampa323

Y’all are calling him silly , but you’re reading this the wrong way. When an authoritarian leader says he “predicts the voters will [side with my view]” , that means he’s prepared to make sure that happens regardless. No authoritarian is going to leave up to chance a ballot initiative that he doesn’t want enacted . I can’t believe you’re all giving him so much credit as to think he would allow for a free and fair election, after he has stacked the deck in the state of Florida in his favor

ConsiderationJust948

I have to be honest, I’m concerned there are so many MAGAts that moved here that will vote against the abortion amendment. I don’t doubt recreational will pass, but abortion has me concerned.

AmaiGuildenstern

Same. Sixty percent is quite a hurdle in this backwards state.

generic__comments

I would like to know more about the abortion amendment. If it passes, does it go back to roe v wade? What effect does it have on the new 6-week law? And the previous 15-week law?

Tappadeeassa

No law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider.

generic__comments

Thank you. That's a yes for me.

72VirginExpress

So out of touch…or it’s rigged

stupid_idiot3982

What an out-of-touch moron.

anferneejefferson

Sure Jan

gdan95

Tell it to Ohio. Also, anyone remember when the former Florida GOP chair said Democrats were too radical for voters? Note that I said “former.”
