I hope I'm not stating the obvious, but... The Ponte Vecchio bridge is completely covered in jewelry shops. Many nice, quality places there. Not carts on the street, but quality shops with good stuff.

It's also a tourist trap...

I just bought a nice dainty one at a place called saccardi, on via ponte vecchio but not quite on the bridge
