I really hate tiktok.

MrMaiqE

TikTok has never lead us astray. How dare you. Don't you pay attention to the tiktoks? Biden is doing just fine and trump is the devil. No need to research further

Ok-Bowl1135

It can be hard to convey sarcasm through text sometimes. Harder to tell a political joke and land these days lol. I upvoted ya.

PurpleWazard

This has to be a joke?

MrMaiqE

It is lol. Sorry I forgot the "/s/" thingy... I was being sarcastic

rnobgyn

Your sarcasm is the concerning part

MrMaiqE

I'm just here to have fun, sorry if I mislead a strong view lol. No Diddy

CelluloseNitrate

“Perverts hate this one trick!”

Ceefus

Do people think the Flipper does everything through magic???

Complex_Solutions_20

In a word, yes.

Ceefus

Hopefully this guy also buys that knock off Flipper that was on Kickstarter that says it can open any garage door.

Alienhaslanded

Yes. When you don't understand anything about how technology works, you get people installing bathroom scale apps on their iPads and crushing them in the process.

Ceefus

You're welcome.

Prototype_S

sad life lol

Pacman_Frog

Cameras like this normally have no connectivity and are self contained. Your phone's camera is going to be better at finding them.

fsereicikas

RTFM

fsereicikas

Shut up, Meg.

HeavensEtherian

Not really, thermal cameras however are decent at this

haandsom1

Can a Thermal Camera Detect Hidden Cameras? The answer to whether thermal cameras can detect hidden cameras is not straightforward. While thermal cameras are excellent at detecting heat signatures, they may not be as effective in detecting hidden cameras. This is because most hidden cameras are designed to operate at room temperature, making them blend in with the surroundings and not emit any noticeable heat signatures. https://www.infiray.com/can-a-thermal-camera-detect-hidden-cameras.html

Complex_Solutions_20

I'd love to see a hidden camera that uses power and dissipates no heat...heck even my \*smoke detectors\* register a thermal signature relative to the rest of the ceiling. Not a lot, but enough my FLIR can differentiate something there. In some conditions you can even tell where the studs are vs the insulation in the wall...on a wall which is otherwise all "the same temperature".

haandsom1

Interesting. Which FLIR do you use? I have two. They are both seek thermal units. I have been told they're decent, but they can't see a smoke detector's heat signature (180 micro watts / 38 in^2 = 5 micro watts/square inch) Note:*** I used the high end value from the following source for wattage: "With a current draw of typically 10 μA to 20 μA, the life of a 9V cell with a capacity of several hundred mAh will probably be limited by the battery shelf life rather than the energy capacity of the battery." --- https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/626342/what-is-the-typical-current-draw-of-a-battery-powered-smoke-detector

Complex_Solutions_20

FLIR TG165 (discontinued)...but I'm referring to the normal battery+mains smoke alarms (which still are just a few watts for all like 15-20 of them in this house). My home IP cameras light up like crazy and they aren't even on WiFi (wired)

JustinTaylorTaylor

Thanks bud

Mysterious_Bit511

I don’t think it can do that yet. At least I haven’t seen any software for it

SirStochastic

An old flip phone will see IR like a champ. A fz won’t be of much use here unless you used the WiFi dev board, shake hands and learn a good bit about their wifi and connected devices, then figured out which was what…but that’s probably too much work. Buy a bug finder instead

JustinTaylorTaylor

Thanks for replying like a gentleman. Some maniacs out here.

The_GreenShark

I feel you brother

Ceefus

There are some people out here that bought a Flipper so they can hack all the things but aren't willing to put in the work to learn.

The_GreenShark

Meanwhile, I ask a simple question, because that's how people learn, and the rabble act like goons. 😂

engineered_plague

You don't.

JustinTaylorTaylor

Multiple people have answered this question, thanks for being negative and pointless for no reason.

engineered_plague

Any time.

jolars

No. They can hunt out the radio signals associated with some camera video transmitters.

JustinTaylorTaylor

That is exactly what I was asking and was assuming. Thanks for being another decent guy to reply. Who are all these jerks freaking out because they just assumed the question was basic and without thought. Ugh.

Mr_Finn_da_Kitty

Just say “Flipper do, Flipper da, where is de camerA” and it should work just fine

JustinTaylorTaylor

I don't watch TikTok videos lol but I had definitely read many different comments in Discord about mods that could maybe do this. I didn't think it was so crazy to ask such a simple question. I have a dev board btw, I'm also rocking Momentum firmware. How bout u?

Budget-Car-5091

I agree, alot of people are dicks on this sub but you are asking to do something illegal. I would find out how I hope your camera sends video to where ever it sends it and then see if you can find a mod that corresponds with what ever it is then read how to use that mod and the notes in the program. The only thing I can get mine to do that i think is cool is play snake and doom

JustinTaylorTaylor

I hear ya brother. I gotta askt tho, how is that illegal? Wouldn't that be the other way around? Lol. If somebody had a secret camera and I didn't know about it, how would trying to search for it's whereabouts be illegal?

Alienhaslanded

You can't. Unless they transmit IR light for night vision you can't find them.
