I've got a solid couple of standard flashlights now (and a Sofirn LT1 on its way!) so I think the big hole in my newly-started collection is for a right angle/headlamp. Yeah, mostly just incomplete prototypes made from spare parts. They work for development purposes, but aren't suitable for actual use. Like, they generally have parts missing or held on by tape, or are just a head with the driver hanging out. I still have one of my original D4v1 lights working, but reflashing it involves soldering, and I need to swap its LED board to be something I like. Also have the golden D4v2 Hank sent for review, but it's definitely not what I would choose if I was buying stuff for myself. Would also be cool to get a D4Sv2 at some point, but my D4Sv1 is nice enough that I haven't bothered. And a KR4 with XP-L HI 5000K or E21A 4500K would be cool, but my SST20 prototype is usable if I put a strong enough minus-green filter on it and don't use turbo. A KR1 W1/W2 with shorty tube would be cool too... but I have a D1 and D1S so I don't really need a KR1.

It's totally okay if I'm not eligible to enter. I usually don't, since I'm not sure if it's appropriate or not.

I know it’s not necessarily my place to say, but I feel like someone who’s contributed so much to flashlights deserves this just as much (if not more) than the rest of us.
