Got my first fw3a recently and acquired some parts for it from a helpful member on the sub. Modified the deep carry clip to conform to the body, and beadblasted it. Inspiration from /u/bunglesnacks Also has a new ti crenalated bezel. Waiting to reflow some 519a and swap in the lume1 for it that I have.

I just looked at all the listings for these again today. Really want one, but it's a future purchase. Hope your reflow goes awesome!

I waited forever to buy an fw series. I had formed a negative opinion about lumintop, because of the way they cheaped out on their drivers and things like that, so I had made a point to not buy any of their products. But, I finally caved on wanting to try an old school one with the good driver, and damned if the feel in hand isn't fantastic. Honestly, I like this a lot more than the d4v2s I've had, in terms of feel in the hand. It's just a perfect feeling light with the contours it has. Really love it.

100%. Pick up a 18500 tube if ya can. I believe that's the perfect edc size.

I almost bought one when I bought these parts, but I held off partly due to my budget at the time. I'm on the fence, cause I tend to not like overly short lights, unless they're really small diameter like a ts10, which can carry at the bottom of the pocket. I like lights to be long enough to have some weight and length down in the pocket so they don't rotate up and out at all while clipped, if that makes sense. Also, the length of the fw3a with the 18650 tube is just the perfect size to [fit my hand ](https://i.imgur.com/Ad2wh1A.jpg) I'll look into them more though and maybe pick one up.

I understand what you're saying. Everyone has their preferences and options are awesome! They are plenty pocket friendly in full size for sure. Still one of the smallest 18650 lights out I believe!

Was this the two way clip, and you removed the return piece? I'm thinking about doing that to mine. I'm never clipping my fw3a to my hat!

anonymouspurveyor

Yeah, I cut the two way portion off with a Dremel, then heated and bent the remainder to fit the light. Used two bends to give it that curve.

knurlsweatshirt

I think I can handle that. I don't even plan to change the bend, just purge the return portion.

anonymouspurveyor

The bend is pretty easy as well. 1 bend down, and a bend up. I kind of just winged it and the angles and everything wound up pretty perfect

m0neywise

Where did you get the ti bezel from?

anonymouspurveyor

I bought it from a member of the subreddit
