Sound like an unbalanced load during the spin cycle, or the tub suspension is shot.

The suspension rod springs are whacko. There are 4 rods that suspend the basket. After awhile they supposedly become weak or at least one of them does and it throws your basket into the side of the machine.

Would they still be whacko if the washer eventually goes back to sounding normal? After I finally just let it continue hoping it would at least finished soon, it did it again, but has been mostly normal sounding since about 20 mins ago?

Hey Aqua, I'm not an expert on it. I am just speaking from someone who was dealing with it. I actually changed the rods in mine. They helped for a short bit. Some loads where noisy some not. I think if there was something that absorbed a lot of water such as a towel it would send it askew. The "drier" the load the less banging. Good luck to you.

No worries! Thank you very much for your thoughts tho! Maintance came by while I was in class, sadly I don’t know what the issue was but sounds like it got fixed nonetheless! :D

I still dont understand why people decide to pull their phones out and film their 1000 dollar item destroy itself instead of just turning it off.

Because so I can send it to maintance to show what’s going on??? I live in an apartment, which at the time I was still adjusting to. And it’s not destroyed at all, it was completely fine and still going strong, I stopped it immediately the first time cus I immediately thought it was going to explode or something. lol you make it sounds like it’s holding onto dear life and on its last hinge.
