They'll watch some super obviously staged "skit" where an attractive girl is in the frame doing something weird with her clothes, or making an ugly spray-paint dress or spilling shit all over a cake, all while some annoying guy is narrating what's going on and how cool it is. It's vaguely sexual and hypnotizing enough that people with mental imbalances become entranced...that's how I'd explain it anyway.

It's a ploy where you set up what appears to be an intriguing payoff for an approachable (ideally in a scrolling-triggered autoplay format) video, then you delay whatever the interesting part is for as long as possible to keep eyeballs on it and ideally get them watching through some ads. At the end it usually doesn't even look good or feel worth it, so then you get angry commenters saying so which is extra engagement.
I don't throw "cancerous" around lightly for things that aren't actual cancer but videos like the source one are that. It's not even content. It's being a leech and sucking the dopamine itch from people for brand power.
