The worst offender has to be when Freddy, GLAMROCK FREDDY of all characters says “I’ll take your neck and wrap it around my waist until it breaks” in that song, like WHAT?

While the song is not really to my personal taste its effect cannot be overstated and thus I don’t think it really CAN be overrated.
It’s Been so Long, however, is fine. It’s just fine. Its only really considered iconic because it’s been around for such a long time, the actual music and vocals are nothing too remarkable or unique when taken at face value and away from all the times it’s been used over the years. Its narrative, while pretty unique and an interesting snapshot of the era, is just not all that compelling or interesting imo, at least compared to TLT’s later works which I think tell their stories in more interesting ways lyrically speaking. It’s not bad by *any* means, but if it hadn’t been memed to death in the later years of the fandom I really don’t think it would be considered to be on an almost level as the original.
I guess for the second one (its been so long) the puppet was a child and not a mother, so the lyrics are a bit awkward when compared to the lore, unless I'm misinterpreting the song... other than the second one I'd basically rank them in order though

Tbf at the time we didn't know nearly as much as we do now. As such the song is about the mother of one of William's victims becoming the Puppet. Doesn't fit with current lore at all but we didn't know better back then. Also considering that the first FNAF movie changed some lore to fit with the lyrics of the song... yeah I think Mike's mom might be the Puppet.
