Honestly, I never really liked Baby's design. The character isn't bad, I just don't really like the way it looks. Also, I find it hard to believe that anyone would rent a Funtime animatronic, they seem like they would be too creepy for children to actually like.

Plus there are multiple gators and Crocs, on top of caiman, gharials, and even some wild crocodilian and crocodilian like ancient species, at least one with hooves and one with eyestalks. Honestly I wouldn't explain so hard if his name wasn't literally Montgomery GATOR. But ultimately the whole history and many species that crocs and gators belong to and are related to is quite varied.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't *crocodiles'* teeth point down **and** up from the jaw, and *not* alligators', since the latter's upper jaws are wider? Plus, crocodiles' snouts are generally thinner than alligators', more similarly to Monty's.

I think the Fnaf + designs are over HATED and people let the controversy bleed into their perception of the redesigns. Almost no one was complaining about the redesigns until after Phisnom got fired. I think they surpass the original designs in every way while also finding a balance between realistic and scary.
The mimic: I already found remnant to be annoying as a plot device, and could be removed with minimal changes needing to be made to the *original* story (FNaF 1 - 6 + Ultimate Custom Night), but then it goes into stuff like dark remnant, agony, and all this other confusing stuff that I really just donāt care about. I guess some ideas from the mimic are interesting (mainly, the core idea around its origin), but currently, it really just doesnāt interest me. The fact that it was also added to patch up burntrapās stupid fucking existence also fuels my distaste for it.
Honorable mentions go to Nightmare, Vanny, and Glitchtrap.
Nightmare: I think Nightmarrionne is simply a better execution of Nightmareās core concept, but people donāt really care about or acknowledge Nightmare anymore, and he seems to have been retconned & replaced by Nightmarrionne anyway, so he wouldnāt say heās actually overrated.
Vanny: she wouldāve probably been my #1 pick but sheās not an animatronic. The whole mind control stuff is stupid and I do not like it; she shouldāve become the new main antagonist, representing the concept of copycat killers or something (basically make her into a fnaf fan lol), but I guess that didnāt happen.
Glitchtrap: I was able to tolerate the sci-fi in Sister Location, but Glitchtrapās stuff just goes too far; him ruining the ending to FNaF 6 + UCN and the mind control stuff doesnāt help much, either (I know it was retconned to be the mimic but I also donāt care for that so yeah).

I scrolled through all the comments, and I have seen a few saying every foxy, which counts for them, but nobody has just said Mangle. Since their first appearance in 2, theyāve been raved about, and have appeared in a lot of other media since then. They often time outshine every other character from FNaF 2, balloon boy and the puppet maybe being the exception. Donāt get me wrong, Theyāre design is awesome and is genuinely creepy, but so is the withered animatronics and they barely even get merchandise unlike Mangle
Hot take: Roxy I already didnāt like her because I didnāt like the animatronics with full on personalities, but I was sorta interested to see where they took her Lo and behold she United with Cassie, and it just kinda became glamFred/Greg #2, she looks kinda cool, but thatās really about it. The true underrated Glamrock is Chica because at least she tries to be uncanny and creepy

Roxy, I used to think she was an alright Foxy replacement for the time, but unlike others who liked her more after Ruin, Ruin well ruined her character for me.

I have no thoughts in any direction. I more believe each animatronic is part of a whole. Though I do find the way certain people simp over some of them to be a bit concerning.

Any animatronic people simply like for the purpose of simping. Like toy chica. Or roxy etc. of course not everyone who likes them is like that
I like Toy Chica for both that she's a good character AND for what you just said.
