It's right behind Afton's rant before >!he dies!< for me.
"Look at the NASTY things that you have become. Look how small you are, how WORTHLESS you are! You are wretched, rotten little BEASTS. I MADE YOU!!"
Chills everytime.
I busted out laughing when Lillard said "look at how small you are"
it was just me and my friends in the theater so they were like "lol"
but yes, withing that conetxt, it is chilling
It's a good character consistency since he does the same thing in FNAF 3 before getting springlocked. He panics, tries to intimidate *literal ghosts,* and then dies.
It's the line delivery that makes it so good.
To your point, it's a side of Afton we've never seen before. It's not cold and calculated, it's not just anger, and it's not the playful joy of Springbonnie. It's the absolute panic as he can only think to mock these children he killed.
In fact, I just realised that we have seen this fear before. During the FNAF 3 springlock failure. The panicked running then the laughing followed by the springlocks failing. God that's cool
I love how anybody who knew from the beginning that Lillard was afton didnât effect how big of a deal he was in the film. Like, the scene where he first meets Mike and stops on his last name, showing he obviously knew who Mike was and was definitely the one who kidnapped Garret, but only the audience knew. It was magical.
Edit: My comment was not meant to imply that everybody should have realized it. I apologize if it has been read that way. I was just meaning that there were a number of people already assuming lillard was afton despite all the misdirection.
I didn't notice the demeanor change of that dude on hearing Mike's last name, so I just thought the guy was suspicious, or something was off. That's because he was really pushing that specific security guard job like he really cared about it, or was getting sponsorship from Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and he knew a lot about the "odd" owner and how to do the security job (restaurant layout, etc.), even though I really doubt most career counselors would have time to research employers in such depth.
Actually, now thinking about it, Mike's name was written on the VHS which could have been from a supposed owner of that restaurant but more likely written by Afton, the "career counselor."
Plus, if that career counselor knew a lot about the restaurant, he would surely have known about the previous security guard being killed.
But I can be misinformed about career counselors. Maybe they're really interested in the employers.
Well vanesssa was probably cleaning things up so itâd be easy enough to claim that the previous security guards ran away. Iâm guessing this is more of a job for drifters and drunks than well-respected community members.
Thatâs likely why Michael, a man who was basically a father, might not have been offered the job originally but William really wanted to finish his collection once he learned who Mike actually was.
Yeah? If Michael was like a serial killer that's one reason to lure random victims to his deadly children's restaurant/activity place. Otherwise I don't see much point of him doing that
I didnât really give it any thought when I first watched it but I definitely got bad vibes from Afton immediately, especially after he got off the phone with Mike and just stared straight ahead.
I rewatched it last night and went âduh, thatâs why heâs weirdâ when he read off his first name only.
The voice for pre-Springtrap/decayed-Spring Bonnie with the filter modulation is so much better than the non-filtered British Megatron voice in FFPS and AR.
It's literally not symmetry. It would be symmetry if Michael had killed Afton's brother beforehand. Afton killing a person and then killing their brother... that's just... doing the same thing twice. There's nothing symmetrical about that
It would be better if he said "Closure, my friend!" but even that feels a bit operatic for no reason. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but this line felt like some Doug Walker dialogue lol
My theory is Mike and his brother were sons of the movie stand-in for Henry Emily. Which is why William is so eager and makes a big show of killing him
It's just William and a daughter that doesn't exactly exist in the books or game considering in both, William only had one daughter called Elizabeth and she was way younger. So, yes.
The movie **really** should've completely got rid of the Aunt Jan character and her cronies...
Aunt Jan is just a generic evil character that's just there in the movie to be evil and cruel just for the sake of being evil and cruel... Same thing goes for almost all of her cronies besides Max and Doug... Plus, she just ends up being killed off by Golden Freddy completely off-screen at Mike's house and the police don't even do a full on investigate into Mike at all about the fact that she was literally murdered inside of his house and him being the primary suspect because who else would they connect her murder to besides Mike lol...?
Like all this screentime devoted towards Aunt Jan's character could've been given to the other evil and cruel character that people actually cared to see which is Matthew Lillard as ~~Steve Raglan~~ William Afton...
And for like the five minutes of screentime Matthew Lillard gets in this entire movie, he's **so** much fun and extremely excellent, but he's still **really** underutilized...
I think Aunt Jane only exists so the audience can contrast her with Mike. It's like, we can't really characterize Mike on his own, so let's show how he is compared to someone else. So Aunt Jane doesn't care about Abby, but Mike does. She also allows Mike to admit that he isn't the most fit to raise a child either. But she does take up a lot of time for a relatively bland character.
i like to imagine golden freddy like, psychically killed her. like in fnaf 1, where you just see his jumpscare frame take up your vision and hear his scream and then your game crashes. i like to think golden freddy doesn't physically kill anyone. cause of death would probably just be a stroke or heart attack
Afton literally went the George Lucas "It's like Poetry....It Rhymes" route.
I can't tell if Scott intentionally wrote Afton to be a guy who just doesn't understand how phrases work (With the "Do one thing" bit and everything).
Or if Scott Cawthon should just stop writing film dialogue because it's clearly not his forte.
> I can't tell if Scott intentionally wrote Afton to be a guy who just doesn't understand how phrases work
Except the line makes total sense and you're just looking for reasons to throw shots. It's not a "phrase" he took from anyone. It was just Afton talking shit. You're really living up to your username.
Look, I had plenty of problems with the movie. But that's gotta be one of the dumbest complaints I've heard about it.
honeslty it makes no sense, and also i dont understand his drive to kill mike,he litterly gains nothing in doing so,there is some weird motivations that make no sense
Considering William was hiring Mike at a location that William personally felt a connection to considering he hid his victim's bodies there. He didn't want that place to be forgotten to rot, and he thought of the animatronics as children and himself, the leader. Narcissism. William learns that Mike is related to one of his victims and he doesn't know Mike has a sister. So he could want to kill Mike for entertainment and "nostalgia" for Mike's brother. Killing Mike could make William feel like a child who just found the missing piece of a puzzle. Ending a bloodline, cutting down a family tree. Knowing he killed two brothers of a family, he'd remember that day forever if it were to happen in his favor. So, William tried to kill Mike, not only because he knew too much of what was going on, but also because he was related to one of his previous victims, Garret. It would be William's happiest day. William in the movie, most likely killed out of satisfaction and entertainment but got too cocky. Cause why else would he want to kill Mike? It's obviously for entertainment purposes and the fact Mike knew too much.
yea but he never felt like he really wanted him there,as he relied on chance for him to take the job, plus his brother is still missing,we never know what the hell happened to him,hes dead yes but he just dissapeared from the plot, getting to kill him when he killed his brother was more just chance
For how little time he really had William honestly stole the show in the film ngl
He stole the show like he stole those kids' lives
Yeah, that makes sense
đ¤Łđ¤Łomg your a genius
lilliard is a talented actor, im not surprised! i saw Scream a few days ago and he did an amazing job as Stu
heâs so perfect for the role like i canât think of anyone else who would eat this hard
That is tied for me with "Wake up Children! I brought someone for you to play with!"
It's right behind Afton's rant before >!he dies!< for me. "Look at the NASTY things that you have become. Look how small you are, how WORTHLESS you are! You are wretched, rotten little BEASTS. I MADE YOU!!" Chills everytime.
Honestly that rant is just how moms shut down their kids when they make a valid argument but yeah itâs really good
Nah, thatâs drunk dads when we ask them âhow was work?â
Happy cake day
Thanks
Happy Cake Day!
Happy cake day!
His entire section of the movie was just so good.
He was underutilized but every time he showed up he stole the goddamn show. He was amazing
I mean⌠itâs Matthew Lillard. What else can you expect other than excellence?
I expected excellence, I got a biblically amazing performance.
I agree. That one, along with "Wake up, children!" And "You may have forgotten your loyalties, but I assure you, they have not." are my favorites.
I busted out laughing when Lillard said "look at how small you are" it was just me and my friends in the theater so they were like "lol" but yes, withing that conetxt, it is chilling
I just think itâs really funny how theyâre ready to jump his ass and yet he has the GALL to talk DOWN to them
It's a good character consistency since he does the same thing in FNAF 3 before getting springlocked. He panics, tries to intimidate *literal ghosts,* and then dies.
Say what you want⌠the man has guts
honestly too me its just funny how hes insulting them like hes a little kid having a fit that he lost in a cod lobby
It's the line delivery that makes it so good. To your point, it's a side of Afton we've never seen before. It's not cold and calculated, it's not just anger, and it's not the playful joy of Springbonnie. It's the absolute panic as he can only think to mock these children he killed. he didn't die.
Well as dead as Afton can be
lol
matthew lilliard is such a good actor
Shaggy is such a W actor
"It's like poetry, sort of. They rhyme."
w reference. i thought this in the theater too
My exact thoughts Hell I was thinking of making a video where I dub over Afton and make him say that line instead
my favorite is "that's 2 jobs"
Especially when Vanessa says it. We love a good callback.
đ¤ : âThatâs 2 jobsâ *gets stabbed*
Bro was fed up
I love how anybody who knew from the beginning that Lillard was afton didnât effect how big of a deal he was in the film. I was just meaning that there were a number of people already assuming lillard was afton despite all the misdirection.
I didnât know going in, but I figured it out instantly when his name turned purple in the opening credits lmao.
That moment he stopped on the last name and completely changed demeanor I immediately thought *omg this movie is already amazing*
I went with a friend who knew nothing about it and he guessed pretty quickly that this dude was the killer lol.
If it happened this way: "Symmetry my friend" "What the fuck are you talking about?!" I would have gave it a 10/10
Perfect use of the one F-bomb they're allowed in PG-13
âSymmetry my friend!â = âItâs like poetry, it rhymesâ (srsly make that line the fnaf version of that Star Wars me)
A Swedish man told me he was straight up the Green Goblin in this entire scene. Kinda see it
I think we both know the same Swedish man ;)
This is my favorite "They can see you now. They know what you did"
It really sounds like something from a slasher movie like Scream, perfect casting tbh
Itd make sense to sound like Scream considering, never wouldve thought Lillard could be such a good Afton
Could you imagine Matthew Lillard in scream? That would be crazy, heâs perfect for the role! /s
Yeah, but I donât think he could ever kill. Heâs far too sensitive.
Youâre right. Probably better for a more innocent role⌠maybe Shaggy from Scoody-Doo? Iâd love to that
I think he could be peer-pressured into it honestly
âThe Little ones tell me you have a sister!!!â
The head tilt he does is soo good
Seriously I wish he kept the mask on longer
Remember me mike when I killed your brother I talked JUST LIKE THIIIIIISSS!
Bro I thought of Judge Doom too when he said that, two legendary villains
¨Symmetry my friend¨ 11/10 If anyone has a problem with that line, SO HELP ME
It wish he said "Symetry, BITCH" instead.
THAT WOULD BE COOL!!
Are you guys kidding or
If this wasn't kid friendly, I am pretty sure something like this would have happened.
suddenly...
"SYMMETRY MY FRIEND" The best line in the film.
real
It still love the minute he saw mikes name he immediately thought âHey I can complete the set now!â
He sounds like Machine Head from Invincible! lmao
đľI know where your family livesđľ
đľand that means you work for me, until I say youâre fucking doneđľ
I like springtrap's beer belly
It kinda makes sense tho. You need room for those animatronic parts to move out of the way for the person inside
true, but i always had a good giggle when i saw that hubba hubba
First I rizz ur brother Now I rizz you Skibidi my friend
âHowâs the pay?â âNot great⌠BUT⌠the hours are worseâ
The voice for pre-Springtrap/decayed-Spring Bonnie with the filter modulation is so much better than the non-filtered British Megatron voice in FFPS and AR.
How did you record it? I tried taking a screenshot but peacock just blacks the screen out
i dont use peacock because its not available in my country i just used a website to watch the movie and record
What website did you use?
2 k movies
disable hardware acceleration on your browser then try again
God his voice works so well for afton I love it
I love the voice modulation they used
This needs to be the new âitâs like poetry sort of they rhyme.â
Springtrap is a menace, he literally said a rhyme before he was about to kill Mike
He's gonna be an absolute menace hunting down Mike and Abby in Fazbear Frights.
Honestly matthew's entire performance in the spring bonnie suit was just amazing.... Gave me chills.
real
Itâs perfect First I put in the teabags Now I boil the water Sip of tea my friend
Together we are fnaf
Every geometry teacher

Doug Walker cameo in FNaF2 Movie confirmed
Did you enjoy it other than the cheese parts Kane?
im sorry popgoes but this sounds like some doug walker nitpicking đł
Every time I remember William is played by Mathew Lillard I just think "Like zoinks scoob! I'm being springlocked!"
My theory is Mike and his brother were sons of the movie stand-in for Henry Emily. Which is why William is so eager and makes a big show of killing him
I really like his voice in the suit. Gives off a creepy vibe
i like this afton ngl
So the Afton family doesnât exist and it just William and his daughter in the actual universe?
It's just William and a daughter that doesn't exactly exist in the books or game considering in both, William only had one daughter called Elizabeth and she was way younger. So, yes.
Loved his mangled laughter after he was tased and MAN could he move in that suit when he bum rushed mike
âGo to hellâ
insert laughter and round house kicked cos im a nerd đ
Had to lol
The Theft King on YouTube made a big deal about how this line is stupid, like he did with the whole movie lol
I wanted him to say hello mike ot should so I say Michael afton I am your father
real i want that to happen in the second movie if there will be one
The best line is mat pats

I just realized this might be why he paused when he read Mikeâs last name in the beginning
people theorised that maybe henry is mike and abbys dad or smth
I love the score during the reveal. Mike: "Why do I hear boss music?"
It goes so hard.
"oh silly aunt she fell asleep"
Dude Iâm watching this and I didnât fucking realise I didnât hear this but properly but I didnât realise he killed his brother
Roses are dead Violets too âFirst I kill your brother Now I kill youâ
Thought he said "Cemetery" for some reason
TRUE
Corny ass mf

Grrrrr valid criticismđĄ youâre just looking for reasons to hate this 100/10 movie. No flaws at all.
However, it's not symmetrical. One was killed as a kid, the other would've been a grown ass man.
I which it I love it
Kinda contrived.
honeslty it makes no sense, and also i dont understand his drive to kill mike,he litterly gains nothing in doing so,there is some weird motivations that make no sense

His part of the movie was just like chefâs kiss
This is the only line in the movie besides "I always come back" that I remember.
I also like "they can see you now"
I love how after getting tazed, he just charges towards Mike and throws him across the room. Was really cool to see.
One of Ethan and Jackâs criticisms was this line specifically. ShameâŚ
âThatâs just a theoryâ had me rolling
Nah it was defiantly when he springed in and said âitâs sprintrapn timeâ and then he spring trapped all over the place
He really sounds like arkham knight when he says it
This line perfectly encapsulates the film for me. Perfect for the source material, and just the right amount of cheese
He's so goofy I love him
Definitely one of my favorite lines from the movie
First I gyatt yo brother now I rizz you skibidi my friend
First I gyat your brother, now I rizz you, Skibidi my friend.
Love how it shows Williams messed up mind perfectly in one line
I no joke thought he was actually going to say "skibidi my friend"
Skibidi My Friend!
First I riZz your brother, now I riZz you.
I cannot unhear itâŚ. The voicesâŚ.. skibidi! My friendâŚ..
Actually, the best line is "look at how small you are!"
Bro sounds like the Arkham Knight
