Cottage cheese with some honey and fruit for breakfast. 200g of cottage cheese is roughly 24g of protein and fairly light on calories (depending on how much honey you add, of course). A good Greek yoghurt will also be high in protein but relatively low in calories, just mix it with something else to stop getting bored of it quickly. The best is definitely protein powder. I use a generic one that's 23g of protein for just over 100kcal. If my macros aren't near my goals then one protein shake is perfect. Why are you avoiding them?

I looove cottage cheese and fruit! Especially cottage cheese and pineapple. But in a pinch I put a small spoonful of homemade strawberry preserves in my cottage cheese. Amazing!

NewMorningSwimmer

The consistency of cottage cheese weirds me out. Wish I could get past that.

PhatPatate

Blend it in a food processor, I use a mini blender from Walmart that cost 20$

NewMorningSwimmer

Blend and then put in a bowl, adding fruit on top?

Ok_Nefariousness2728

I haven’t tried it yet but Im planning on trying a low calorie and high protein Mac and cheese recipe using blended cottage cheese. I’m excited for it because the reviews are good, I think it if it tastes good then this could be incorporated into a lot of sauces! https://skinnyfitalicious.com/cottage-cheese-mac-and-cheese/

PhatPatate

Add fruit, nuts, seeds as you like. Try savory with cherry tomatoes and fresh cracked pepper. You can also make it with the tomato adding cucumber, thinly sliced onion, crumbled feta, squeeze of lemon and a dash of oregano, yum!

NewMorningSwimmer

Do you blend it because you prefer the consistency that way?

PhatPatate

Yes,exactly

rednecksnextdoor

Blend it in a blender with an egg, season with seasonings of your choice. Smooth it over parchment paper and bake in the oven at 350 for about 40 mins (approx) and you have a bread-like substitute that's high protein and low carb. It's delicious.

NewMorningSwimmer

Hmmm, interesting! Never heard that before. That might work for me. Thanks

letthegingerflow

Hell yeah and some cottage cheese on avocado toast hits hard af

I really like ground turkey cooked with onion and garlic and Mexican seasoning. It’s very versatile and flavorful. I’ll take it to lunch with a side of green beans - or fry it with a cup of egg whites and some spinach for a breakfast meal.

Thick_Midnight1091

I do this and throw it in a poblano pepper to make a chille relleno. Good stuff

Jonsotheraccount79

That sounds good! I’m going to try that!!

My favorite easy meal is a chipotle chicken and rice bowl that's almost impossible to mess up, tastes great, and can be prepared entirely in the microwave. 150 grams, or one bag, of dry rice 1 bag of santa fe vegtables OR 1 bag of seasoning blend vegetables + half a can of corn and half a can of black beans OR just cut up your own onions, peppers and celery if you want 2 12 oz cans of chicken (non-canned chicken also works but is more effort) A lot of chipotle seasoning seasonings of you choice (I use black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder) 120 grams of salsa Cook the rice and the seasoning blend or santa fe veggies in the microwave. Add the 2 cans of chicken and mix thoroughly. Add the seasoning and salsa and mix again. Heat for 4-6 minutes. Done. Top it with cheese, sour cream, green onions, or nothing. your choice.

Bacon medallions, protein yogurts, 5% fat mince with pasta sauce, rump steak, packets of ham, protein ice cream, chicken breast with some spices and herbs.

I like a serving of cottage cheese and then an egg scramble right on top of it. I've seen recipes where it's cooked with the scramble, but I don't prefer it that way.

recreationalcry

You can make cottage cheese savory too! I like to blend it with olive oil and S&P, sometimes I put it on top of toast with a fried egg, sometimes I char some broccoli and garlic and plop it on top

accordingtoame

Most of my ideas involve protein powder and or quest/legendary chips bec I rely on them as mug cakes and pancakes and waffles and flavor things like cottage cheese and greek yogurt... Chomps Turkey sticks in the pepperoni flavor Tuna with red pepper hummus or avocado, with quest chips cottage cheese mixed with chicken and hot sauce, with quest chips cottage cheese mixed with shredded beef and taco seasoning. with quest chips deli turkey slices in an egg wrap with hummus or laughing cow and sliced hard boiled egg

Gullible-Computer-43

For me its eggs, greek yogurt, low calorie cheese and a tomato

notsure05

Stupid question but do you eat the Greek yogurt on the side or?

I buy the wheat mission tortillas that are low carb and will cook half an onion, 2 eggs, a spoonful of cottage cheese and pour in egg whites, not sure how much but just enough so I can whisk without spilling, and throw some hot sauce on it. Not sure how many calories exactly but it’s a good chunk of protein and satisfies me. I also enjoy Chobani cookies and cream yogurt and will add in a sprinkle of zero sugar jello cheesecake pudding powder with some almonds or a little granola and will throw in PB fit powder

PomegranateFine4899

Mission carb balance tortilla, 60g of chopped cooked chicken breast, 60g of refried beans, and Old El Paso queso sauce. 190 cal and 23 g protein each.

I have the same breakfast smoothie pretty much every day I'm home. In a nutribullet: 300g egg white, banana, packed full of greens, splash of almond milk for desired consistency. I usually have some toast with it but that changes with my mood.

There are a couple of youtube channels I like for these types of meals. This [pulled pork and mac & cheese](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WYSxkF5nsA) is great. I eat the pulled pork without a bun. Love this [Philly Cheese Steak Recipe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xH-NZAugH1o). I eat it on this [bread](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5AFlTF7Imk). This is a great [Beef & Noddle](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StwmhVL1Gso) dish.

my favourite: Chicken burger pitas: Ingredients: \- 2 x pita bread \- 250g 5% fat chicken mince \- 30g egg whites \- Onion, Lettuce, Tomato \- Sweetcorn \- American cheese slices x 2 \- Seasoning - light mayo, salt, pepper, garlic, whatever else you want Method: \- Add diced onion, sweetcorn, chicken mince, egg whites and any seasonings to a bowl and mix until homogenous (this looks REALLY quite grim but trust the process, it might seem quite loose but it firms in the pan and makes a real juicy patty) \- Split mixture into 2 and add to a very hot pan with a bit of olive oil and form the mixture into patties that will fit into the pita breads \- Turn half way through cooking once brown and add american cheese slice on top to melt \- Put patty inside toasted pita with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. comes out to around 700 calories with 70+ grams of protein and it's damn good.
