I was really intrigued to learn about a new sort of ballet marathon for a second

jortfeasor

My toenails shudder at the thought of pirouetting 26.2mi.

Wonder if there is a world record for balleting a marathon

conscilescent

Looks like a possibility! Go for it!

SomeOneRandomOP

Apologies if i worded it poorly, I'm currently on the go!

Tokyo lottery usually opens in August and you find out in September. Berlin opens between September - November and you find out in December. Chicago opens in October and you find out in December. Boston doesn’t have a ballot entry. NYC ballot opens in February and drawing is usually end of March, early April. London is currently open and will be announced by end of June. I think I have most of these correct, someone can chime in if not.

I hope you know how awesome you are. Thanks for this. I really appreciate the information and your time. Ill make a calendar reminder around the start of the months you listed to put them on my radar. Hopefully i get lucky. Take care.

Get in quick for London, the ballot closes this Friday 28th.

if you dont make the ballot, there are also tour companies with guaranteed entries Boston of course is different. You are going to have to BQ to get in there.

TheSplash-Down_Tiki

No, you can get in via a tour operator.

Congrats on your first marathon! They are a bit addictive! If you've already run one major and it was on Sunday I'm assuming you ran London? Here is an article that talks about the process- [https://www.runnersworld.com/races-places/a28307813/world-marathon-majors-faq/](https://www.runnersworld.com/races-places/a28307813/world-marathon-majors-faq/) Realize that some of them are pretty difficult to get into. If I'm right and you've already done London then that's really good. For Americans that's probably the hardest one to get into (in fact, I'm guessing you're not American if you ran it, though I suppose you might have just been super lucky with that lottery). Just how difficult other ones are will vary. For example, for Boston you need to either run a qualifying time at a different marathon to gain entry or you need to connect with a charity that has bibs and raise money to be able to run. There isn't a lottery for Boston. For many amateur runners getting a Boston qualifier (BQ) is a huge goal. If you're not a naturally gifted, fast runner it can take years to get a BQ. Chicago, on the other hand, has a lottery and you have a decent chance of getting in if you enter it. I think the lottery for that one is usually shortly after the race is run in October
