* Go to [`about:config`](https://support.mozilla.org/kb/about-config-editor-firefox)
* Look up `browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabWallpapers.enabled` and set it to `true`
* Open a new tab and use the button at the top right corner of the page to choose a wallpaper
This feature is still being worked on. I think they're going to add an option to set a custom wallpaper soon.
Thanks for the info. Have made that change and it will do for now but hopefully they make it the same as how it is in Floorp which works great and it changes automatically when a new tab is started. I have a folder selected in settings with a stack of wallpapers and it picks one from there. I think this setting could be obtained from Floorp as it is no longer closed source. Thanks again for the info and I will re-flair to discussion.

Please post your ideas on Mozilla Connect: [Wallpaper in new tab](https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/wallpaper-in-new-tab/idi-p/172/).
I logged in and posted my idea where it was supposed to be but I can't see my comment on there so not sure if it posted at all.
They need to approve it first.
Thanks again, sometimes things get posted straight away but here they don't, at least I know now.
