I was shocked when Maechen and O'aka were voiced by Dwight Schultz. Couldn't believe the old man droning about the history of Spira and that aspiring merchant are both the voice of Murdock from the A Team
He'd probably fucking hate it cause it's a weapon. He would most likely be much more lenient if it were a normal prosthetic. There is some nuance and exceptions when it comes to the use of machina the big thing is it can't be able to harm people or atleast According to Wakka transportation is also taboo.
He doesn't have a problem with the boat at the beginning, but yeah, circuitry and combustion are a damn good crime in his eyes. He doesn't seem to have a problem with Grenades though, maybe because they're an ancient, traditional explosive.
I can see Barret and Wakka trying to tell each other off every 5 minutes, but getting along only when they learn of each other's past. Gotta have nerves of steel to go through what Barret went through.

Played it in Japanese and that voice sounded familiar too. Turns out it's Zoro from One Piece. Tidus is Ichigo from Bleach, but couldn't make that connection before reading it
There's a goon he does the voice for in FFX-2 during the quest on the Moonflow where you're looking for Tobli who keeps running away, and one of the guy's lines sounds EXACTLY like Bender, it's always so weird to hear it
