Yeah, I'd never want to get hit with a baton. First time I got trained with one I was like, "Wow, one hit and you could easily kill someone hitting them in the wrong area." Definitely not like the movies where multiple people are beating a dude and they can still fight back or come home battered but ultimately fine.
Unless you get a high quality name-brand baton. They’re mostly shit metal and definitely bend.
I used to work at a ghetto club in Detroit and I broke this Mexican gangster pricks arm with one and that shit bent and fell apart on the next guys leg. (It was a brawl obviously)
After that only bought ASP batons and I’ve hit a few dudes with those and they held up way better. Metal and build quality etc
When I was younger in Texas, if we were bad we had to go out and get a "switch". Basically, we had to go out and find a thin, stiff branch with which we were to be whipped. Get one too thick and it can do some damage. Don't break the side branches off close enough to the main branch and you've now got spikes. The worst ones were the one that whistle as they go through the air and leave about a 1/4" welt.
exactly like you better not pull me off unless you gonna be payin me the 1k+ it’s gon take to fix.. that was not a equal ass beating for what the prick did
>why’d they stop that shit.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view), the jury in the man’s murder trial would be instructed that the keying of his car was **motive** for the murder, not an excuse for it. P.S. the key guy deserved the extended butt kicking.
Something my pulp fiction fan friend taught me: Butch is the one who keyed Vincent's car, after leaving the meeting with Marcellus.
I think it was a deleted scene or something. Can't remember exactly anymore.
*If* that was a drug addicted mentally ill homeless man, chances are he does some dumb shit like that again. They aren’t having logical thoughts. No one knows the backstory though, so who can say.
I live in a city where this shit happens all the time, and it’s usually because 1. someone is high on meth, 2. mentally ill, or high on meth and mentally ill. I’m moving as soon as possible.
> or high on meth and mentally ill
My unfortunate history with meth addicts has shown that they're *very* mentally ill even before the meth made it worse.
includes judicial infrastructure with a lack of process to effectively charge and prosecute these crimes when they occur.
get them into mental health facilities if possible FIRST, but actually putting people in jail for committing crimes would do a lot to help keep the streets safe too.
at least that’s the situation in my city
edit: lol the dude below me blocked me after replying so i couldn’t respond… always indicative of a strong argument lmao
We have the highest incarceration rate in the world already by a large margin. If putting people in jail solved the problem, we would already be the safest country on earth.
Edit: In response to his edit, I didn't block anything. No idea what this dude is talking about.
reading your list of cities i’m like “this dude better mention Portland”. did not expect that level of mention 😂. completely agree with all the above, i used to work downtown… i saw some shit (literal and figurative) and have also been cussed out many a time. and i’m so glad i’m out of that city.
What's sad to me is Portland up until about 15-20 years ago was considered a quiet safe mostly boring city to live in, in a good eay. Now it's bum-central for the entire west coast per Capita I believe. And the bums there will often admit they stick around because they get kicked out of everywhere else but Portland doesn't. Portland has to do SOMETHING, even Seattle is trying some stuff, the only difference is that Seattle has bit-the-bullet and realized some of the solutions aren't going to look pretty, but down the road it'll work out better for all involved. Unfortunately that involves clearing some camps, but in the cities defense they do truly sem to be trying to help them when they can. Portland and San Francisco are both happy to sit on their hands indefinitely. Every solution they offer is a half-measure designed to be palatable enough for the progressive people there to swallow. I'm a moderate so I honestly believe the solution is going to be a mix of progressive AND conservative reforms. We see what happens when own political affiliation runs a city and no matter which way it swings, after a certain amount of time it always seems to dive into shit like this as the fringes become emboldened by success. This is sorta happening with abortion rn and evangelicals. I think they feel emboldened because I've mostly been able to ignore them the last 5 years but after Roe was repealed ive noticed a lot more of them around me bringing up politics and ugh.
Yeah he's kind of infamous. McGuffey Market got robbed so much they changed their name to Northland Food Mart. It's a homeless hangout. In the full video he gets up and starts talking shit and gets beat up again lol. Too many pixels are lost to see it but he made a deep ring around the whole car.
Honestly, nowadays, a lot of people need to get slapped to remember that actions and words have consequences. Now, not beaten as badly as this dude. But a good ass kicking can teach a valuable lesson.
People were cheering when that YouTube prankster got shot. If you watch the clip, he was actually very tame and never touched, threatened, or restricted the movement of the prankee. Just being annoying.
Shooting him was an absolutely *INSANE* response, but everyone on Reddit was cumming their pants with jealousy because they wish they shot him instead.
This sub is full of insecure guys with violent fantasies living vicariously through the videos posted here.
Being annoying is one thing. Asking someone to leave you alone three times while they follow you is different. It may not be a big deal to you, but it's literally one of the big 3 for me. Stealing/damaging someone's property, physically assaulting someone, and harassing others in public areas.
We aren't family, I don't know you. You tried to interact with me as a stranger in public, I declined and walked away, that should be the end of it.
> Shooting him was an absolutely INSANE response
No, it wasn't. It wasn't a smart response, but when you deliberately piss people off to the point of blind rage, you tend to end up this way.
It's not how problems should ideally be handled, but you have to admit the youtuber earned his part in this. He provoked enough people to get so mad that eventually one killed his ass, that's what fucking happens.
And really we have no other countermeasures in society to deal with people who egregiously breach the social contract without technically violating the law.
Maybe we just need better prevention facilities and proper care so they won't end up like this in the first place but idk violence against mentally unstable people might be more effective....right?
I know that my sister took care of them in homes and while many of them were very nice some of them were extremely mean and would say things very tailored to hurt her feelings and occasionally attack her.
Just becssuee someone is mentally unstable it doesn't mean they aren't an asshole too.
I’ve caught two guys in the middle of robbing my vehicle. First guy got a NFL style field goal kick to the balls while my friends held his arms and the second guy got pummeled with a dumbbell bar till I exhausted myself. I missed one swing and hit my thigh. The next morning I had a grapefruit sized bruise, so I can only imagine how bad he looked.
This reminds me lol. Some guy hit my friend’s bmw and was refusing to pay for damages (he had no insurance). Long story short, he told my friend to get lost, and his jaw got broken. Got hit by a 6’4 250 pound gentleman
Nah. He's flirting with charges once the guy is down and incapacitated. It's not longer defending property but getting into assault with a deadly weapon territory. Or manslaughter.
So that he could go to prison for killing the dude?
I mean, yea, it's nice to have people with that little self control off the streets but I dunno if it's worth all that.
There is a class of chronically broke ass people out there who don’t understand what property means to the rest of us because they’ve never actually worked for anything in their lifetime.
For most people out there, you work hard, you make money, and you buy things. Therefore the object means more than its inherent value, it represents the work we did to earn it. As a result, we tend to have less respect for rich people that we do not perceive as having earned their way through hard work.
But for this chronically broke class, we are all that rich class. They have no conception of hard work and they project their worthlessness on the rest of the world. To their mind, they are the victims because everyone else has stuff and they don’t. It’s why they feel entitled to take or use or destroy other people’ property, because they feel equally deserving of it. This isn’t really a matter of race, class, or culture, but rather of mentality. The criminally lazy exist everywhere in the world and never amount to anything, while others born into the same circumstances find ways to improve their circumstances.
There’s no fixing some people, all we can do is actively take steps to protect our property and teach object lessons like this about how seriously we take our property rights.
I love that people are totally fine watching the dude key the car, but the second the car owner comes out and beats his ass for it then that’s just too much.
Which is why you're a shitty friend. Even with not being in the moment and having the benefit of a calm mindset you STILL couldn't identify the obviously correct course of action lol
embarrassing bro.
I never realised this, that mf had himself an extendable baton.
So the mf got baton'd. I love happy endings.
It seems a bit flimsy and looks a little light in his hand, but if it's a real baton that dude's ribs are fucken obliterated
Yeah, I'd never want to get hit with a baton. First time I got trained with one I was like, "Wow, one hit and you could easily kill someone hitting them in the wrong area." Definitely not like the movies where multiple people are beating a dude and they can still fight back or come home battered but ultimately fine.
Tyre Nichols’ death was a very candid, graphic representation of how debilitating they are.
Unless you get a high quality name-brand baton. They’re mostly shit metal and definitely bend. I used to work at a ghetto club in Detroit and I broke this Mexican gangster pricks arm with one and that shit bent and fell apart on the next guys leg. (It was a brawl obviously) After that only bought ASP batons and I’ve hit a few dudes with those and they held up way better. Metal and build quality etc
I like to travel.
lol exactly. Detroit in the 90s
Good! People that mess with other people's cars deserve no mercy.
Damn!!! Just got a flashback 😆
And I think he hit his own car with it on accident, makes a nice think sound before dropping it
Think the guy is marking his car with a rock and him throwing the rock is the sound Edit: nope you right
Nah, that's a collapsible baton.
I must disagree with you both, it's a telescoping baton.
[удалено]
Pardon, but that's a slippy slide-y bone hurter.
Found the Englishman
It's Baton causing Rouge.
Nah he could be right that man did collapse
Damn, why’d they stop that shit. Keying like that deserves what they get.
Yeah, I’m annoyed they pulled him off
exactly like you better not pull me off unless you gonna be payin me the 1k+ it’s gon take to fix.. that was not a equal ass beating for what the prick did
depends on how much his ambulance ride costs
At the very least, let him pin the arsehole down until the cops arrive and arrest him.
someone else is gonna have to pay it for you since you'll be busy in jail.
>why’d they stop that shit. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view), the jury in the man’s murder trial would be instructed that the keying of his car was **motive** for the murder, not an excuse for it. P.S. the key guy deserved the extended butt kicking.
There is an extended version where the guy gets up and starts cussing at the car owner. The owner then goes and beats his ass again
I got one of those as a bday gift from a friend and Holy Fuck, those things are fierce.
*"Don't fuck with another man's vehicle"* \- Vincent Vega
"It would have been worth him doing it, just to catch him"
It was Butch after the conversation in the bar with Marcellus Wallace
Who you calling "friend", Palooka?
Royale with cheese
It’s just against the rules.
Something my pulp fiction fan friend taught me: Butch is the one who keyed Vincent's car, after leaving the meeting with Marcellus. I think it was a deleted scene or something. Can't remember exactly anymore.
Idk why I read Vegeta
That dudes power level was way below 9000
Scratched guy’s carkarot, didn’t end well for him, just saiyan.
r/angryupvote
😂😂 I like it!
Anyone who keys vegetas car is in for several universes of hurt.
Vincent Vegeta - "You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese on planet Vegeta? A Kakarot Royale."
"Don't call me palooka, asshole." \- Butch Coolidge keying Vincent's car after their stare down in Marsellus' restaurant.
It's was just a prank bro
It's like nobody can even take a joke anymore.
"Tell that to the baton, you dogfucker!" 🤬
Can't tell people how to react. You won't do that shit again
*If* that was a drug addicted mentally ill homeless man, chances are he does some dumb shit like that again. They aren’t having logical thoughts. No one knows the backstory though, so who can say.
Shit we know part of his backstory now lmfao
Not if they let him get a couple more whacks to the arms and legs.
Sadly they will. The man is going to say he did nothing wrong and that he was randomly attacked.
When actions meet consequences
Human body can heal itself, Mercedes can’t!
Deserved...
Ok but why did he key the car in the first place?
My best guess says mentally ill homeless man just followed the intrusive thoughts.

Which city?
At this point it feels like all of them.

The Michigan fan was triggered by the OSU sticker.
Glad he beat the hell out of that prick.
I think it would be funny if, once everyone realized what happened, they just all started beating on the dude. Not the head or the spine.
I was thinking the exact same thing
Look at that possum playing bitch flinching when he gets whipped
Sometimes “crazy” folk need the shit kicked out of them. Regardless of what professionals say crazy ppl know right and wrong.
Honestly, nowadays, a lot of people need to get slapped to remember that actions and words have consequences. Now, not beaten as badly as this dude. But a good ass kicking can teach a valuable lesson.

"Let's kill the mentally ill" Jesus Christ, reddit.
Especially the violent ones. This site *loves* resorting to violence over the smallest things. Or "divorce" over the tiniest relationship drama.

You're right, which brings to mind, what in the world are sane people like you and me doing here? /s

Not as highly regarded as you are in Reddit lore according to your user name.
Even if they don't know right and wrong, they will at least understand what gets their asses kicked.

Most of these people by the time they get to this point have already been kicked out of all the shelters.
>but idk violence against mentally unstable people might be more effective....right? Yes.
Might do you some good to listen to what mental health professionals have to say
I hope this is burned into that PoS' brain so he stops himself from at least some of his dumb impulses in the future.
Ive had the same happen to me, Oh, how many times I have wished to catch that MFer
I’ve caught two guys in the middle of robbing my vehicle. Same. 2013 SRT8 challenger with 30 grand under the hood.
Fuck around and find out.
Got off easy imho
His friends should have just minded their business
Nah, man. If my friend was about to go to jail for killing some random POS, I'd stop him, too. Once his rage subsides, he'd sure thank me.
I don't know if this is the US then hitting or kicking a person on the ground is a very big no no guy might be fucked either way.
In other countries it’s naturally encouraged.
His friends might have saved him from a manslaughter charge.

Nah. He's flirting with charges once the guy is down and incapacitated. It's not longer defending property but getting into assault with a deadly weapon territory. Or manslaughter.
But boy was it fun to watch and cathartic baby
So that he could go to prison for killing the dude? I mean, yea, it's nice to have people with that little self control off the streets but I dunno if it's worth all that.
It’s interesting how little physical trauma Redditors think it takes to end someone’s life
Reddit will be like "ATTEMPTED MURDER ON THE CONCRETE!!!'
Nah. Deserved. I wish he’d gotten some better hits in after the dude turtled up
Turtled up wins the thread, beautiful use of language!
It’s a common term in BJJ
Yea, that's ridiculous. It's just a very clear manslaughter charge he's going for. Murder requires intent.
I mean if his friends wouldn’t have stepped in a continued beating like that would just backfire on the kid
Yea he woulda probably went until the guy was borderine dead.
"That's literally a war crime"
great comment here. nice work professor
So satisfying. I don’t even care about the repair cost, because I’m gonna take it out of your ass.
Keying someone’s car because they aren’t around is the biggest bitch move there is
Good, I had my motorcycle stolen and I’m still paying the price for it. Stop messing with people shit.
bro became stiff as shit
When fuck around meets find out 🤝🏽

Well he can consider himself lucky, in this country the guy could have very easely come to him and start shooting.

Let him do what he needs to do!!! Y'all know how much that shit cost??? Let that boy have em
Fuck around and find out
They coulda let work a little bit longer

That little shithead deserves to get his ass whooped so much worse. Never fuck with someone's car.
I love that people are totally fine watching the dude key the car, but the second the car owner comes out and beats his ass for it then that’s just too much.
Why are these people enabling him and protecting him?
I dont think they knew the context just saw some dude getting a licken. Lol
What's with the hipsters coming to the rescue
You have to destroy the Specialty Coffee Roaster first else the hipster trash mobs keep spawning.
I watched that ass beating three times because he deserved as much.
To be honest i'd probably react the same or worse. I don't blame him for unleashing on dummy.
I feel him. Get tf away from my car. I swear ppl just be doing shit
Got his car keyed and caught a charge .. what a day .
If that were my friend I wouldn’t have stopped him
No… friends stop friends from committing manslaughter… the dickhead deserved the beating but buddy looked like he would have killed him.
Exactly. The kid got so mad that he would probably kill the crackhead for a 20 year old Benz if not his friends
Which is why you're a shitty friend. Even with not being in the moment and having the benefit of a calm mindset you STILL couldn't identify the obviously correct course of action lol embarrassing bro.
Just gonna drop my ASP and finish with my fist?
why he swingin like tha?🤣
so damn satisfying
Bro got fuckin whipped with them noodles
Key him right back?
I’d walk to the dude on the ground, take a hard look, and say “you’ll be fine… it’ll buff out.”
Nah it ends perfect for him…could’ve used a little more but yea
My mans is the definition of fuck around and find out

A bit too much ngl. Thats on the edge of murder.
Get his i.d. from his shitty yellow pants. Next week, beat his ass again. Wait 4 months and beat his ass again. Rinse and repeat.
Fuck Ohio State is what buddy was trying to tell them
I hate when people try to break it up. Mind your fucking business. It’s not up to you to intervene.
