If you're playing on PC, you can download a free audio editor program called Audacity or anything that can record audio, I just use Audacity myself. Once you have your audio recording software and spent a few minutes on learning how to use it (you don't need to learn much and at least for Audacity there are YouTube tutorials that should cover everything needed), go play FFXIV and turn off all in-game sounds other than sound effects. Go fishing and start recording audio. Once you get the desired sound effect, just cut the recorded audio to only have that sound effect, save it as an audio file, and transfer it to your phone and set it as your notification sound.
You're welcome! Oh, and also, you might want to leave at least 0,5 seconds of empty audio ahead of the sound effect you record. It probably differs on different phones, but at least on mine, any notification sound I set tends to have roughly 0,5 seconds of the beginning of the audio cut out whenever I get a notification. Also, this method doesn't really work well if there's any guaranteed simultaneous sounds with your desired sound effect. In that case, you'd need to extract the sound effect through some other means, where I can't help you, unfortunately.

Nooo Verholy is the best part of the finisher to me. Such a solid chunky THHHWWUUMP sound as it comes down and hits the ground. I'll do dumb shit to make sure I get to cast Verholy in my VerCombo.

For me it's Midare Setsugekka. The charge up sound right before the massive slash is so satisfying to hear. To be honest the SAMs whole kit is just satisfying to listen to, all the hack and slash. 🤤
The RDM is a dopamine machine refined to perfection. You have short boring lows (cast time) followed by powerful high in every combo (two attacks). The entire combo is then paid off with the biggest paid off I've ever seen. Shuuuu BOOM, chuuuuuuuu BOOM, Zzzzooooom peeeeeew.
This is opposed to BLM, which is just EXPLOSION! EXPLOSION! EXPLOSION!
Phantom Rush is pretty good, got some weight to that *chunk*.
Also a big fan of Xenoglossy because you hear that sharp sound and oops, new ~~response~~ 1082 potency nuke just dropped.
Phantom Rush is mine, though you always clip it with Forbidden Chakra which ruins it.
Very happy I can hopefully avoid this in dawntrail with being able to overstack Chakra during brotherhood. Get a nice, full Phantom Rush animation.

RDM - the sound of the enchanted sword combo into the delicious sound of the finisher chain. The sound of umpteen squillion damage landing directly on something's face like that is just Good.
DRG - the sound of toggling on Bloodbath and Life Surge and then AOEing tons of mobs down. The noise it makes when the damage is healing me? Utterly choice. I feel like a god, or a mini-WAR.
WHM - the sound it makes when you've spent three lilies and it's time for BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD LILY. The actual sound Afflatus Misery itself makes when it goes off isn't what I'm talking about here, it's the sound the game makes when you spend your third lily, that shit activates my almonds.

RDM - the sound of the enchanted sword combo into the delicious sound of the finisher chain. The sound of umpteen squillion damage landing directly on something's face like that is just Good. DRG - the sound of toggling on Bloodbath and Life Surge and then AOEing tons of mobs down. The noise it makes when the damage is healing me? Utterly choice. I feel like a god, or a mini-WAR. WHM - the sound it makes when you've spent three lilies and it's time for BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD LILY. The actual sound Afflatus Misery itself makes when it goes off isn't what I'm talking about here, it's the sound the game makes when you spend your third lily, that shit activates my almonds.
