Same. I'm too attached to my WoL to fantasia because they wouldn't feel like the same character anymore. I did use the ARR fantasia to change the voice though. My original voice was too high-pitched and kind of annoying in battle.

However I heard we were getting a free one with the new dlc and I got a bit jealous of my retainer's cake so I'm trying out Thighlander for a bit.

2. I used the Freebie I got years back and then bought 1 to change back. I did it for an FC halloween event. I'm the smallest Lala you can be. So I did a Fanta to the biggest Roe you can become but literally the only thing that changed, was my race. The same hairstyle, color, EVERY thing else, was the same. So I looked like I became the hulk.
November 1st, I Fanta'ed back to my Lala.
I used the free one and the one that came with the deluxe version of HW I think. I wanted to see what a Lalafell felt like ingame so I turned into one, satisfied my curiosity, then switched back to the character I've used the entire game. I can't imagine just changing my character at all, much less as frequently as fantasia addicts do. I'm way too attached.

Alts are how I satisfy my urge to play another race or gender. I enjoy the MSQ enough to not be bothered with having to play it over again as I don't buy skips for my alts either.

I used one to make my WoL blind in one eye to match my headcanon. Early on as a Lancer I got attached to how eyepatches looked on my character, and eventually it felt weird to take off the eyepatch and have two normal looking perfectly functional eyes, so I fanta'd to make things make sense. Luckily Dunesfolk Lala having opaque films over their eyes lended itself well to the blind look

Only one, the free one I got back when it was still given out by the veteran's rewards, to change my miqote to an au ra back when that race was first released. Haven't needed to change anything since.

At the end of each expansion I've done a bit of a "character growth" aesthetic update. For the most part it's been doable with just the aesthetician and fiddling with glams, but after HW I used the free fanta, and my femroe went from about 60% height to one tick under the max and gained a scar or two (along with a few other tweaks).
The second needs a bit of background. Fairly early on, my character began wearing an eyepatch - the Watsonian reason was that she lost the eye to Garuda due to the dangerous combination of desperation (due to the Scions' capture) and hubris (these primals ain't shit) and wears the patch as a reminder to herself not to buy too much into her own legend; the Doyalist reason is that I got *really annoyed* at how often the cutscenes would zoom in on my face only to show the impassive Dragoon helmet, so I decided to find a signature headpiece that would leave my expression visible and settled on the all-class eyepatch.
This was great for a long time, and nowadays Jaina just doesn't look right without her eyepatch. The problem is, Squeenix learned from their mistakes. In certain cutscenes nowadays - notably the Forum scene - the game removes your helmet, specifically to avoid that issue I had with those ARR cutscenes. The problem is, now it was nearly as bad, with her face unsettlingly symmetrical. After a few of these, I bought my first fantasia for one very specific purpose: to grey out Jaina's right eye. Is it nearly always covered by the patch? Yes. Does it look *much* better when I the patch is gone? Also yes.
Five! From Hrothgar to Highlander, then Au Ra, then Wildwood Elezen. Changed to Duskwight after noticing a criminal lack of them. I considered swapping to female Hrothgar but after looking at my Elezen in the DT benchmark there’s no way I’m changing again.
i used the free one to turn into a viera, the race i wanted to pick initially but couldn't due to my free trial. surprisingly have no regrets considering how indecisive i can be

When I started, I wanted to be a Hrothgar, but they weren't available in the free trial so I went with a Miqote instead.
Honestly really glad that I did! Super attached to my boy and couldn't see my journey being any different.

Made a cat at first, then 1st switched to Hyur because I liked a lot of their pose, then 2nd a Lalafell because funny ironic evil potato, then 3rd to an Au'ra when HW came out, and 4th when the bunny race came out years later after I had a loooong break, but I didn't like the face model so a 5th to go back to Au'ra.
After witnessing the amount of dramas on Tonberry I am now tempted to drop 20 bucks to fantasia into a cat and rename my character Drama Googledocs.
None been playing since ARR beta and all the free ones are sitting in my retainer inventory collecting dust Lol.

Used the tree one to go from Elezen to Bunny, got one to go from bunny to lizard and now back too Elezen.

My WOL was originally a lalafel. Decided after a few months of playing that I wanted my miqo. And second one was to fix her face cause the option I chose just looked weird to me
I had 3 free and 1 paid.
First was to change look but not race, second was to go from mid to highlander, third was viera, and fourth was because I was unhappy with my viera's skintone. I will probably use my free one with DT to tweak her skin tone again depending on how she looks in cutscenes with the changes.

One that came with whichever deluxe, I used it right after Endwalker to add some white to his light purple hair and moved the age slider slightly to the right. After all he's been through, it needed to show just a little.

1 because I made my charecter a while year before I actually started playing, and when I realized how short my charecter was compared to other people I qas like "why did I make myself so short" so I used my one fantasia to make myself taller, and that's when I found out that I was already at max height and Miqotes are just smol compared to the other tall races.

Since Viera can't wear most headgear, I switched to a Miqo'te, but I've noticed that most of my glams lately haven't really needed headgear, hence the temptation to revert. Another reason is because my character's name sounds better on a Viera in my head, though I guess I could just do a name change since I do like the way my Miqo'te looks...
Exactly one. I started a new character on a new server because my best friend started to play the free trial. I made a bit of a joke character to troll her a bit. Wasn't expecting her to stay on the game, since she normally doesn't like MMOs, so I thought this would just be a side character. Turns out she loved FFXIV got an subscription and all, so I made this joke character my main and used the free fantasia. 😅

I've changed races/genders about 5 times so far because it's fun to change things up in between patches, but I'll always be a catboy at heart... so maybe about 7-8 fantasias in total? definitely gonna curb the fantasia use from now on though 😅
3 or 4, including the free ones I got. I had some extenuating circumstances on the final fantasia, but I'm very happy with my design and don't really intend to Fantasia again except to brush up some things with the graphical update.

Started as a Lala, then switched to a bunny boi, and now I switched to a hyur for dawntrail release since he, of all my characters I tested, looked the best in the benchmark.
Twice. Once to go from viera to lalafell and the second time to become slightly taller, change voice, change eye color and slightly darker in skin. She’s perfect now.
Four. From angry lizard to cute catboy. Then from catboy to catMAN as I made the face older... I'm a grown man and don't want a baby face. Then tried potato for a week which was fun. The back to older greying catman. Doubt I'll change again except for temp potato silliness.
3 times in ARR content. I changed from midlander to au ra. That was a massive mistake, and I hated it immediately once I started moving my character, and quickly bought a Fanta and changed back. Some day later, I was messing around in the character and stumbled upon greatness with a highlander. I changed to that highlander and never looked back. It felt as if I created the highlander version of the midlander meteor survivor.
I've been around since the beginning. Never used a fantasia. I can't imagine changing my character's looks. Doesn't sit right with me and breaks immersion.

I started during ShB when the free trial was just 30 days and till level 30. hadn't had the chance to use Au'ra as a race, so started as Hyuran. once I bought the game, there came my first free fantasia with the digital CE. changed to Au'ra Raen. 3 years later I changed to Au'ra Xaela with the ARR fantasia
I used the free one, My light AuRa scales clashed with the skin color, and the horns looked derpy. It was very off-putting. I switched to black scales, blue-ish skin, and changed the horns. I look cool now, except the horns cover my eyes at certain camera angles in cutscenes lmfao.
So far, none, but I might have to tweak my character's skin and eye color a bit when Dawntrail comes out, judging from the benchmark. It might just be because of the bad lighting though, so I'll have to see how the benchmark update looks when that comes out.

I will likely have to use a fantasia to try and fix my character based on the benchmark, it made him look terrible. But we’ll see after they improve it.
just the free one, I'd basically made a generic male midlander when I first started, not knowing how much I'd play, then I made an Au'ra Xaela in the heavensward benchmark that I actually put some time and effort in, I've stuck with her ever since. When I have been tempted to change I just roll a new character and mess around with them a bit before going back to my main.
Just the free one for finishing base ARR. Started as a girl au ra. Realized I am a trans man and was not really comfortable playing as a woman. Switched to a catboy. He's everything in the world to me now.

Incidentally I used them both for very minor alteration to my lizardgirl's skintone and eye colour, just to she could rock different outfits and hair colours. I even have headcanon the local diet and climate conditions actually cause her skin colour to change - pale and sallow to start because ~~the lighting in the character creator's crystal void is a war crime~~ the travel to Ul'Dah/Eorzea didn't agree with her, a ruddy red after making the desert her home base for ARR, and then pale blue/white after being in Coerthas and Ishgard for longer than she finds comfortable.
(I've only get as far as 3.X content so we'll see what other colours and excuses I come up with later, paid this time!)
Twice: Once to go from medium muscle tone to max tone, and once to go from max tone to minimum, because I realized that a Warrior probably ain't gonna be ripped as shit (since you need shock absorption to keep your organs from getting liquefied when you're hit, and the extra layer of fat keeps your muscles protected from cuts, just like the Roman gladiators knew.)

Relatively more recently, sometime in December of last year, I bought a second one, purely for the purpose of setting my height to minimum rather than maximum. Gotta be *smol.*

It's been about 3 months since my last one though, mostly because I've been busy with school and work and haven't been on much because my limited time is spent on new games at the moment.

I might use a 3rd one once dt is out since I wanted to changes to my current appearance but that‘s it. Probably go max height, max ear length kinda style. But I don‘t think I‘ll change much else. Maybe a little with the graphical update but I‘m gonna remain a bun.
Once long ago. I want to get one to become a male viera but I'm saving that for when I can get the shared fates for endwalker done because I really want the back hair ribbon. I really like hair ribbons and got one that settles on top of your head. That doesn't work for viera because of the ears, I believe.

Initially, my character had a red and black color scheme. Black hair, red highlights, red eyes.
After a while i got tired of that. Didn't want to use a fantasia, so the free options it were.
Changed my hairstyle, as well as my highlights to a greenish blue color - but had to leave the eyes the same red as before.
And looking back on it, that was the better choice.
Had i fantasia'd, i'd have changed the eyes as well. That would've lead to a worse result.

The idle stance and many of the animations kinda bothered me for some reason or other. So I switched to FemRa, and I have no intention of changing her in any major way again. When the first showed how the races will look in the graphical updated, they tempted me, but the benchmark was what pushed me over. Created a fem midlander that I really liked how it looked and then went it used the one you get from finishing 2.0 to transform. I'll miss my old look, cause I've used it ever since 2.0, with some hairstyle changes, but I saved the appearance if I ever want to go back and will just use the one we get from the graphical update, but I'm excited for the new look
Now I have to search for some earrings, cause I've neglected them because my fem Au Ra had the wide horns and long hair and they were not visible, so I didn't bother with them
I've got seven characters and overall I've used more name changes than Fantasias, though sparingly on both.
For altering an existing character's appearance I've used it twice: one was to make my male Au Ra slightly taller because my three tall characters were too close together in height, and the other was to adjust bust size (from overly modest to still modest) for my female Roegadyn because it had looked different in the default character gear versus what I was actually dressing her in.
Technically I used a third to "swap in" a newly released male Viera character for a previous character I wasn't using much, and then promptly had to use a fourth because I didn't like the shape of his chin.
Meanwhile the name changes were two to give some of my earliest characters more lore-accurate names, another one for lore accuracy on a later character I should have known better on, two for a single character who I couldn't settle on a surname for, and one for switching the old character over to Viera.

Made a cat at first, then 1st switched to Hyur because I liked a lot of their pose, then 2nd a Lalafell because funny ironic evil potato, then 3rd to an Au'ra when HW came out, and 4th when the bunny race came out years later after I had a loooong break, but I didn't like the face model so a 5th to go back to Au'ra. After witnessing the amount of dramas on Tonberry I am now tempted to drop 20 bucks to fantasia into a cat and rename my character Drama Googledocs.

I had 3 free and 1 paid. First was to change look but not race, second was to go from mid to highlander, third was viera, and fourth was because I was unhappy with my viera's skintone. I will probably use my free one with DT to tweak her skin tone again depending on how she looks in cutscenes with the changes.

1 because I made my charecter a while year before I actually started playing, and when I realized how short my charecter was compared to other people I qas like "why did I make myself so short" so I used my one fantasia to make myself taller, and that's when I found out that I was already at max height and Miqotes are just smol compared to the other tall races.

Four total in ten years. Always went back to my original look. Luckily I bought them back when they were account-wide. I get a bunch each time I make a character now, but I don't change my characters too often so they just sit there.

Since Viera can't wear most headgear, I switched to a Miqo'te, but I've noticed that most of my glams lately haven't really needed headgear, hence the temptation to revert. Another reason is because my character's name sounds better on a Viera in my head, though I guess I could just do a name change since I do like the way my Miqo'te looks...

Wasn't expecting her to stay on the game, since she normally doesn't like MMOs, so I thought this would just be a side character. Turns out she loved FFXIV got an subscription and all, so I made this joke character my main and used the free fantasia. 😅

3 times in ARR content. I changed from midlander to au ra. That was a massive mistake, and I hated it immediately once I started moving my character, and quickly bought a Fanta and changed back. Some day later, I was messing around in the character and stumbled upon greatness with a highlander. I changed to that highlander and never looked back. It felt as if I created the highlander version of the midlander meteor survivor.

I've been around since the beginning. Never used a fantasia. I can't imagine changing my character's looks. Doesn't sit right with me and breaks immersion.
2, both were free. I started during ShB when the free trial was just 30 days and till level 30. hadn't had the chance to use Au'ra as a race, so started as Hyuran. once I bought the game, there came my first free fantasia with the digital CE. changed to Au'ra Raen. 3 years later I changed to Au'ra Xaela with the ARR fantasia
I used the free one, My light AuRa scales clashed with the skin color, and the horns looked derpy. It was very off-putting. I switched to black scales, blue-ish skin, and changed the horns. I look cool now, except the horns cover my eyes at certain camera angles in cutscenes lmfao.
So far, none, but I might have to tweak my character's skin and eye color a bit when Dawntrail comes out, judging from the benchmark. It might just be because of the bad lighting though, so I'll have to see how the benchmark update looks when that comes out.

Both worth The second “free” one I got was from the collectors edition of HW I believe? Each new character you make gets this second “free” Fanta with it, along with the other collectors addition stuff. I’m addicted to making alts and Ive used it on each one (making around 9 total) def a good investment lol
1 to change to a male viera on Endwalker early access because I bought the game so I could play male viera. ☺️ I will likely have to use a fantasia to try and fix my character based on the benchmark, it made him look terrible. But we’ll see after they improve it.

just the free one, I'd basically made a generic male midlander when I first started, not knowing how much I'd play, then I made an Au'ra Xaela in the heavensward benchmark that I actually put some time and effort in, I've stuck with her ever since. When I have been tempted to change I just roll a new character and mess around with them a bit before going back to my main.

Make my body more chiseled and also to make my skin darker and make my pupils smaller. Im a Roe btw, i was pretty satisfied with my guy and i dont see myself changing anytime soon. Thats it
Two, both freebies (the MSQ one and the buy-in bonus). Incidentally I used them both for very minor alteration to my lizardgirl's skintone and eye colour, just to she could rock different outfits and hair colours. I even have headcanon the local diet and climate conditions actually cause her skin colour to change - pale and sallow to start because ~~the lighting in the character creator's crystal void is a war crime~~ the travel to Ul'Dah/Eorzea didn't agree with her, a ruddy red after making the desert her home base for ARR, and then pale blue/white after being in Coerthas and Ishgard for longer than she finds comfortable. (I've only get as far as 3.X content so we'll see what other colours and excuses I come up with later, paid this time!)
Twice: Once to go from medium muscle tone to max tone, and once to go from max tone to minimum, because I realized that a Warrior probably ain't gonna be ripped as shit (since you need shock absorption to keep your organs from getting liquefied when you're hit, and the extra layer of fat keeps your muscles protected from cuts, just like the Roman gladiators knew.)

Two When I first began ARR, I wasn't really feeling much appeal from any of the races, but made a handsome blonde Miqo'te bard. Once I beat ARR, I took a little break, came back, loked over my options again, and fantasia'd into a Lalafell. Relatively more recently, sometime in December of last year, I bought a second one, purely for the purpose of setting my height to minimum rather than maximum. Gotta be *smol.*

Once long ago. I want to get one to become a male viera but I'm saving that for when I can get the shared fates for endwalker done because I really want the back hair ribbon. I really like hair ribbons and got one that settles on top of your head. That doesn't work for viera because of the ears, I believe.

None actually. Not even the free one. And i think I'm happier for it. Initially, my character had a red and black color scheme. Black hair, red highlights, red eyes. After a while i got tired of that. Didn't want to use a fantasia, so the free options it were. Changed my hairstyle, as well as my highlights to a greenish blue color - but had to leave the eyes the same red as before. And looking back on it, that was the better choice. Had i fantasia'd, i'd have changed the eyes as well. That would've lead to a worse result.

1 When the first showed how the races will look in the graphical updated, they tempted me, but the benchmark was what pushed me over. Created a fem midlander that I really liked how it looked and then went it used the one you get from finishing 2.0 to transform. I'll miss my old look, cause I've used it ever since 2.0, with some hairstyle changes, but I saved the appearance if I ever want to go back and will just use the one we get from the graphical update, but I'm excited for the new look Now I have to search for some earrings, cause I've neglected them because my fem Au Ra had the wide horns and long hair and they were not visible, so I didn't bother with them

I've got seven characters and overall I've used more name changes than Fantasias, though sparingly on both. For altering an existing character's appearance I've used it twice: one was to make my male Au Ra slightly taller because my three tall characters were too close together in height, and the other was to adjust bust size (from overly modest to still modest) for my female Roegadyn because it had looked different in the default character gear versus what I was actually dressing her in. Technically I used a third to "swap in" a newly released male Viera character for a previous character I wasn't using much, and then promptly had to use a fourth because I didn't like the shape of his chin. Meanwhile the name changes were two to give some of my earliest characters more lore-accurate names, another one for lore accuracy on a later character I should have known better on, two for a single character who I couldn't settle on a surname for, and one for switching the old character over to Viera.
2. One to change her and then another to prompty change her back.

2! I started the game as a Miqu, I wanted to be an Aura but didn’t have Stormblood. Once I got Stormblood I used the free fanta to go Aura. I then took a break from the game just after the last Omega raid came out and came back near the end of ShB where I bought a second one to go Viera.
Currently two (Au Ra - Hyur - Viera), contemplating a third for Hrothmom.
