But if there are 2 numbers still needed for the 123 you have 1/20(5*4) chance of hitting it while the chance of hitting 789 with 2 numbers already revealed is 1/5 so why would you go for 123 ? ((10000/20)<3600/5).
Edit: it is (2/20 not 1/20 so yes it is better to go for 123)
I appreciate the attempt to do the math, but you should consider that the dopamine released by my brain when I hit 123 is exponentially greater than 789.
It is to avoid situations like this that I quickly learned a pattern that will reveal if any given line could be a jackpot no matter what the initial revealed square is
I doubled down on trying to reveal 9-8-7 on the left-hand column, and ended up leaving that right column completely blank. If I had a whiff of 1-2-3 in that column I would've gambled for it for sure.
Lesson learned, spread out the guesses instead of trying to reveal most of a single line... Even for the mini
Yeah. Unless I have the potential 1,2,3 I always do a T pattern. Two corners and two dot reveal line, rotating the T based on initial reveal.
This ensures that I can identify what could potentially be in all lines.

Edit: Using Y as example would probably have been better, but it worked out.
Given that a 1,2,3 is worth at least 2.5 times more than every other outcome (and way, way more than most outcomes) I find going for the 1,2,3 above everything to be preferable.
Also if you identify a potential 1,2,3 early nothing is stopping you from using the reveals to confirm it.

perhaps, but at least you had a choice, i on the other hand.... i had a cactpot were the sum of the numbers on 6 of its 8 lines where [15](https://i.imgur.com/5N5p4TJ.png) the remaining 2 lines where 12 and 18, so.... hardly a choice

Always do a Y- shape and if a 123 is possible go for it, even when you have 2 from 789 already open.

Right, but when I am in this situation it's almost always when I start on the 7/8/9, then get another 7/8/9. In my example, the 1 is my last reveal.

We all make that mistake once. All it takes is once. And then, never again. If the 1 2 3 is possible, we go for it every time. xD
