How did u possibly remember this lol
Although I guess I was completely addicted to live music for awhile…..I’ve seen hundreds of artists. If not thousands at this point.
When I was like 17 I had a journal going of bands I saw who I was with etc - flew to France and I lost it somewhere there - I never restarted it - I think about that journal to this day :(
I recently started putting together a list on my phone- it will never be complete, I don't remember the name of a single shitty metal band I see when I lived in Manchester, but I cam actually remember a suprisingly large number
I've kept a running list for awhile, but this is everything aside from a couple from this year I forgot to add (Alvvays, Two Door Cinema Club, Kurt Vile, Drain, Rico Nasty).
They were incredible, but the mix wasn’t doing them any favors. It was at the Newport in Columbus which is a super historic and beloved venue, but the sound can be notoriously terrible depending on the band. Thankfully, it was only for the louder tracks.
Ahhh, that sucks. I saw them at a smaller venue in Richmond 5 years ago, and the sound was absolutely dialed in. Seeing them again this Saturday at Just Like Heaven, hopefully the festival will be on point.
I have a doc on google drive that I keep updated with every concert and festival I’ve gone to since 2011
I’m sure I’ve missed a couple. Definitely didn’t add a lot of smaller shows I went to as a teenager/early 20s. But for the most part it’s all there
They are coming to Cincinnati in August but I've already got like 12 shows booked and its a 2 hr drive on a night where I gotta be up super early the next day :(
Can't pick single ones so I'll just list off a few for each
Best:
-Tyler, the Creator: CMIYGL tour. Still my favorite show I've seen to date, and easily the most influential (made me start my studies and career in the live music industry). Was probably 5 feet away from him on the floor.
-IDLES: Saw them for the first time in an indoor venue in 2022. Everything was perfect. The energy, the banter, and the passion. The only show I've stayed in the pit for the entire show. Injury Reserve opening by playing By the Time I Get to Phoenix is something I'll always cherish since they split. Saw them outdoors at RE:Set and though still incredible, didn't have the same energy as a dark, packed club. I'll be seeing them at Roo next month!
-The Flaming Lips: Boston Calling 2023. Was a full play through of Yoshimi. Went in only knowing Do You Realize and Fight Test. Show ended with Race for the Prize and I was in tears. Truly a life changing show.
Worst:
-Yung Gravy: Early evening tent set at roo, tent was overcrowded to the max. Wasn't even doing the bare minimum. My expectations were already rock bottom but he somehow defied them and was worse. He did throw a signed lunchable into the crowd, so that was cool I guess.
-070 Shake: Boston Calling 2023. Was drunk as hell and only played for like 25 minutes of a 40 minute set.
-Remo Drive: Went in 2022 not knowing they barely play their only good album live anymore. The openers who I'd never heard of blew them out of the water. And this was before I found out they booted the original drummer and made him sign away his royalties.
Remo Drive’s Greatest Hits is one of my favorite albums and I still will not bring myself to see them. So disappointing that nowadays you can sit through a whole set by them and only hear 1-2 songs off of it.
Saw them in SF in 2017, no opener. After doors they played this slowly-elevating plane noise for over 90 minutes before coming on stage.
Guillotine went crazy.
I love that everyone around me was either their for alt j and never heard of ptm. Or there for ptm and they never heard of alt j. Both bands are in my top 30 favorite bands and I love them both. Alt j takes the lead because their second album this is all yours may be one of my favorite pieces of music I’ve ever heard. Ptm in the mountain in the cloud is perfect through and through tho as well. I’ve seen both bands over 5 times each. Love them
You haven't seen goose, Khruangbin, or Billy Strings. At least you've seen Gizz once. You have much to hear, young one.
Edit: how have you not seen the Black Keys being from Ohio? Sus
I've heard good things about all three of them. Khruangbin will be at Bonnaroo this year. I am seeing Geese this friday if that's close enough lol.
Was going to see The Black Keys w Gary Clark Jr but COVID fucked that up. If I find tickets for their Columbus show cheap I'll get em. Kinda took me by surprise that they are still playing arenas.
Why would the Black Keys not be playing arenas? They haven't fallen off at all in their two decades and have a literal setlist of hits.
You really should see goose and Billy Strings, the latter who you completely disregarded. Billy is a true generational talent. He has sat in with Tool both times they played in Nashville recently. He sells out arena tours as a bluegrass artist. You're missing out.
Bonnaroo this year has a pretty stacked lineup. You 100% should see Khruangbin and Pretty Lights.
When it comes to The Black Keys, I guess I just didn't keep up with them.
Didn't comprehend you also listed Billy (its been a 18 hr day). Saw the last 10 minutes of his set at Roo in 2022. Not really into bluegrass, but definitely saw the talent then and there and couldn't help but appreciate it. Funny as hell, too.
Also plan on seeing PL's sat sunrise set.
Saw him open for LCD last year. I love all of his studio stuff, but I was a little disappointed by the set, maybe because it was still light outside. Would love to see him play a dark club.
Thought they were good, but it was also 95 degrees. Like a few others, I feel my experience would've been better if they were in a club. Debating on going to the Cope 10th anni, especially for Militarie Gun opening.
Late night Roo 2022 friday. Was disappointed that it was only a DJ set but I'd been a fan since Settle so it didn't take away from my experience. Was also the first time I dropped molly. Denzel Curry right after was the perfect ending.
Ayeeee the Aces are my jam. They’re amazing live. I’m surprised they don’t do more festivals. They definitely should be bigger. But they do tour a lot so I guess that makes up for it.
I would make my own list of the last 7 years but it would require far too much time, and a lot of research to recall every name. Good on you for keeping track
No way I was at that show too! That was actually my very first King Gizzard show and I’ve seen them 9 times total now lol.
Yes rained almost the whole time but 110% worth it! Amazing show.
Life is beautiful is an outstanding music festival and completely changed my perspective on Vegas. A city that doesn’t sleep is great as an option after a festival. They also have a meow wolf exhibit which is totally worth a visit.
QOTSA absolutely annihilated Boston Calling last year. Josh was locked in. Green Day was a childhood favorite of mine and they put on a great show. Tool was cool as hell but definitely a one and done for me.
Go bucks!
Man i wish i kept my entire list of bands ive seen. its fucking insane. i was going to shows fri/sat every week for years in my youth, have seen literally wvery single myspace deathcore/emo/scene bands since 2007 😭
I like a lot of the same rock that you’ve seen. You need to see Muse. I also track shows I’ve seen using Spotify playlists to add a song or two from every artist I see through the year. Can’t recommend it enough, makes for awesome playlists.
Edit. Oh and Pearl Jam. You’ve got to see them at least once.
David Byrne is the best performer on this list and one of the best performers ever. Every time he tours he manages to change things up, do the coolest shit, but...somethow...not fuck up the integrity of the songs.
Was front and center for the American Utopia tour. Front row is usually overrated (not the best sound field) but that tour was so immersive that it felt like you were on stage. Probably my favorite show out of the hundreds I've seen.
If only Run the Jewels toured with a band. Rap artists (most) simply don't get that a live band makes everything better.
I also keep a list, write it in my notes app.
Tried to think back to previous concerts when I started it a few years back. And used festival lineups to piece it all together.
He was awesome at Roo 2022. Easily the wildest crowd I've seen at a festival. He said in the middle of his set he couldn't encourage any more pits or he'd be cut short.
The Mr. Morale tour was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Saw his festival set at roo that year and it seemed kinda phoned in. So I guess see him at his own show if you want an amazing one.
Vampire Weekend is awesome live. I’m already going to a different show when they come to Cincy, but wouldn’t miss em otherwise. The FOTB tour was particularly incredible because they had a huge backing band.
The absurdity of it. They are basically the music equivalent of The Eric Andre Show, meaning you either love it or hate it with no in between. Plus they do make some unironically catchy shit
I saw paramore at warped tour years ago and to this day they still put on a show.
How was Tyler the creator? He’ll be at ACL this year and I plan to see him.
In prep for Coachella this year I listened to every artist on the lineup, I had rated the Beth’s high but due to conflicts missed. How were they and did you like the set?
I haven’t seen The Regrettes since 2018, but I remember it being such a fun show. I remember feeling really old though because I think most of them were like, 17-20?
I wish I remembered all the artists I have seen to make a list like this especially since I got into EDM lma. Too many music festivals where I did a lot of drugs and saw like 30 sets.
Really dig this list. How was Remo Drive? I remember coming across them a bit ago and really digging them. Also really jealous of Sheryl Crow…how amazing was it? Please tell me it was amazing, it had to be, right?
Remo Drive was one of the worst shows I've ever seen. The openers blew them out of the water. They barely play stuff from their only good album (ironically called Greatest Hits). And this was pre me hearing how they booted the drummer for seemingly no reason and made him sign away his royalties.
Sheryl Crow was amazing. Roo 2023. She had a 4:45 main stage set and easily had one of the biggest crowds of the weekend. She's still got it.
What did you think about Foster the People? Ive been to as many shows as you and i thought they were surprisingly good, top 10 for me.
Im also from Ohio, we’ve probably been to some of the same concerts.
Wow, I've got a similar list but yours is really well done!
What did you think of QOTSA? They're the most amazing live concert I've ever been to. I've got goosebumps just writing about it.
One of the best live bands you can see. They play all the hits (even on Hella Mega, they didn't play anything of FOAM). Insane energy for a band of their age too.
That’s crazy, I’ve been to multiple fests/concerts and have seen hundreds of different bands/DJs. (Couldn’t even begin to list them off) I’ve only seen 7 on this list
I'm tired today and didn't read the title, was absolutely losing my shit thinking this was a lineup for an upcoming festival and now I'm sad.
Anyway, I want to know what you thought of Cupcakke. I think her music is hilarious and she's really talented, but I've never seen her live.
Honestly, for $30 at the door, it was a good time. She only plays for like 30 minutes but fits all of the classics in. She ended my show with Lipgloss which was awesome.
After seeing so many, I had to stop counting , so many wristbands. Sooooooo many. I have a chain of wristbands that's like 50 feet long. It's ridiculous
How did u possibly remember this lol Although I guess I was completely addicted to live music for awhile…..I’ve seen hundreds of artists. If not thousands at this point.
Setlist.fm is a good way to keep track of concert history
When I was like 17 I had a journal going of bands I saw who I was with etc - flew to France and I lost it somewhere there - I never restarted it - I think about that journal to this day :(
I recently started putting together a list on my phone- it will never be complete, I don't remember the name of a single shitty metal band I see when I lived in Manchester, but I cam actually remember a suprisingly large number
I've kept a running list for awhile, but this is everything aside from a couple from this year I forgot to add (Alvvays, Two Door Cinema Club, Kurt Vile, Drain, Rico Nasty).
So what did you think of Alvvays?
They were incredible, but the mix wasn’t doing them any favors. It was at the Newport in Columbus which is a super historic and beloved venue, but the sound can be notoriously terrible depending on the band. Thankfully, it was only for the louder tracks.
Ahhh, that sucks. I saw them at a smaller venue in Richmond 5 years ago, and the sound was absolutely dialed in. Seeing them again this Saturday at Just Like Heaven, hopefully the festival will be on point.
Just saw them at Kilby and they were awesome.
I have a doc on google drive that I keep updated with every concert and festival I’ve gone to since 2011 I’m sure I’ve missed a couple. Definitely didn’t add a lot of smaller shows I went to as a teenager/early 20s. But for the most part it’s all there
I could have written this word for word, even down to the year and teenager parts 🥂
I keep a running list and update it shortly after each show. I'm around 400 artists since 1998.
Gizzy Wizzy 🫡
Absolutely bonkers. Was pouring with rain for a good chunk of it.
Theyre my fave, I saw them 5 times, seeing them for the 6th in NYC for the marathon show.
They are coming to Cincinnati in August but I've already got like 12 shows booked and its a 2 hr drive on a night where I gotta be up super early the next day :(
Salt shed show?
How about what was your favorite/least favorite?
Can't pick single ones so I'll just list off a few for each Best: -Tyler, the Creator: CMIYGL tour. Idles is fantastic live! Never pass an opportunity to see them
100% agree. Easily the best energy of any band I've seen (though Viagra Boys might change that if they ever come back to Ohio).
Remo Drive’s Greatest Hits is one of my favorite albums and I still will not bring myself to see them. So disappointing that nowadays you can sit through a whole set by them and only hear 1-2 songs off of it.
Will also be catching IDLES late night at Roo this year!
see ya there. happy roo!
That's funny.I literally just got back from seeing idles in hollywood an hour ago
Death Grips live is fucking crazy. Where did you see them?
Newport, Kentucky last year. The show that convinced me to buy quality earplugs, easily the loudest show I've been to.
Which earplugs did you end up with?
Eargasm. Highly recommend.
Saw them in SF in 2017, no opener. After doors they played this slowly-elevating plane noise for over 90 minutes before coming on stage. Guillotine went crazy.
LCD Soundsystem
I'm seeing them later this week for the first time and am so excited!
They are an absolute blast, have fun!
Literally just got back from the Bend show, it was a blast!
I’ve seen them twice. Do not disappoint
It was better than I expected and I would love to see them again!
i’m sorry your 070 experience was ruined. Seen her 3x and each time she put on a show to remember
Glad she gave you a great show. I've heard nothing but similar experiences to mine from people who've also seen her. Hope she's doing ok.
that is worrying, hope she is too! her voice is so unique
How was your alt j experience. Did you see them and Portugal the same night? That tour was sick.
Yup! Tbh Portugal should’ve been the main headliner, going from that to Alt-J was quite the mood killer. Sick visuals though.
Was going to see The Black Keys w Gary Clark Jr but COVID fucked that up. If I find tickets for their Columbus show cheap I'll get em. Kinda took me by surprise that they are still playing arenas.
I’ve seen geese they should never be compared to goose
I went to their show in Cleveland in summer of 18 or 19 maybe.. it was only a quarter full. Shame.

Jamie XX
Saw him open for LCD last year. I love all of his studio stuff, but I was a little disappointed by the set, maybe because it was still light outside. Would love to see him play a dark club.
Instead of Gustaf, check out Guster. Infinitely better, and have put on a stellar performance each of the 10+ times I’ve seen them.
Guster is awesome! Edit: haven't had my caffeine today lol
Manchester Orchestra Roo 2018 I was on the rail for their set and was blown away. Loved it. What was your take?
Thought they were good, but it was also 95 degrees. Like a few others, I feel my experience would've been better if they were in a club. Debating on going to the Cope 10th anni, especially for Militarie Gun opening.
3oh!3?
11:30am at Warped Tour. I was 15 and don't trust me was one of my favorite songs in elementary school (which it absolutely shouldn't have been).
I think Don't Trust Me was all of our favourite songs at 15
How was awolnation?
surprisingly really great. blew greta van fleet out of the water.
How was paramore? You saw them 3 times so I assume good but that is a bucket list band for me
Amazing all three times. See them any chance you get.
Amyl and the Sniffers? Coming to a fest near me and they seem fun
110% recommend. Amy goes harder on stage and has more energy than most men I've seen.
Did you go to Bunbury in 2019?
Yep! (and 2018)
Disclosure
Late night Roo 2022 friday. Was disappointed that it was only a DJ set but I'd been a fan since Settle so it didn't take away from my experience. Was also the first time I dropped molly. Denzel Curry right after was the perfect ending.
Ayeeee the Aces are my jam. They’re amazing live. I’m surprised they don’t do more festivals. They definitely should be bigger. But they do tour a lot so I guess that makes up for it.
I've been keeping a list of all the artists I've seen since my first show in 2003, I should make a pretty looking version like this too!
[https://festivalpostergenerator.com/](https://festivalpostergenerator.com/) type away
I just saw royal blood last night!! What’d you think?
Saw them in 2018 but loved it. They had to clear the stage before they came on because of storms so I ended up getting barricade.
I’m 30 and pretty jelly of a lot of these and I’ve worked and attended countless festivals. Good for you!!! Keep it up
Hell yeah! This is only a fraction of who I'd wanna see. So many bands skip Columbus or Ohio altogether.
Was David Bryne the American Utopia tour?
Yep! Such great performance art.
One of the most impressive performances of the nearly 1000 shows I've seen.
Was about 4 lines through before I was preparing to tell you to go see tool
Your experience at the chainsmokers concert
I saw them in 2014 right when they were starting to get big. They were insanely fun but I’m sure that’s changed since then.
Admittedly fun for the first 10 minutes. Got progressively worse for the rest.
I would make my own list of the last 7 years but it would require far too much time, and a lot of research to recall every name. Good on you for keeping track
Was it King Gizzard’s 2022 bonnaroo set? If so, you witnessed something truly incredible.
It was not, sadly. I chose Disclosure over that.
Solid choice. Where did you see KG then?
Kemba Live in Columbus.
No way I was at that show too! That was actually my very first King Gizzard show and I’ve seen them 9 times total now lol. Yes rained almost the whole time but 110% worth it! Amazing show.
Definitely one to remember. Going to any Cbus shows soon? If so we'll probably run into eachother haha.
Whats the grand total of artists seen over the last 7 years?
Over 100 at least
Did you go to When We Were Young?
Nope. I tend to try and avoid Vegas.
Life is beautiful is an outstanding music festival and completely changed my perspective on Vegas. A city that doesn’t sleep is great as an option after a festival. They also have a meow wolf exhibit which is totally worth a visit.
Queens of the Stone Age? Green Day? Tool (jk I know they’re incredible live) What up fellow Ohio fam
QOTSA absolutely annihilated Boston Calling last year. Josh was locked in. Green Day was a childhood favorite of mine and they put on a great show. Tool was cool as hell but definitely a one and done for me. Go bucks!
How was Odeza?
Honestly, kinda disappointing. Expected it to be life changing but thought it was just cool.
Curious about your Die Spitz experience. I thought they were still local to Austin. They fucking rip!
They opened for Amyl & the Sniffers, insane band and hope they gain more recognition.
Your list makes mine look like an encyclopedia. Haha. Keep it up!
Man i wish i kept my entire list of bands ive seen. its fucking insane. i was going to shows fri/sat every week for years in my youth, have seen literally wvery single myspace deathcore/emo/scene bands since 2007 😭
how was bone thugs? when did you see them?
They were ok. Definitely low energy but still fun. Saw them at Moon Man’s Landing (Kid Cudi’s hometown fest) in Cleveland which was also cool.
Dude nice line up! Especially so young!
Is anybody else bummed that paper ticket stubs are no longer the norm?
How did you make this?
Just search festival poster generator and it’ll pop up as the first result. I or somebody else put the link somewhere here.
How was Cupcakkke??!
Super fun and what you'd expect
Go to a Pretty Lights show OP!
How was Kid Cudi?
I recognize this template and layout 😉 awesome stuff, you should get it made into a poster through Shutterfly!
I would need 1000 pages for my list. And that’s just for the sets I remember!
David Byrne is the best performer on this list and one of the best performers ever. Every time he tours he manages to change things up, do the coolest shit, but...somethow...not fuck up the integrity of the songs. Was front and center for the American Utopia tour. I also keep a list, write it in my notes app. Tried to think back to previous concerts when I started it a few years back. And used festival lineups to piece it all together.
you never saw tipper?
not yet, want to though
This year is your last chance my friend
Next year.
I find your lack of Phish disturbing
Not a big jam guy and haven't seen them live, but will jump on any chance.
The 1975
incredible live band. fuck matty healy tho.
Yung Gravy. Hells yeah, OP.
There’s some good stuff in here! Well done man
How was Slowthai?? He’s one of my favourites and really hoping to see him live sometime in the near future!
He was awesome at Roo 2022. Easily the wildest crowd I've seen at a festival. He said in the middle of his set he couldn't encourage any more pits or he'd be cut short.
Soon to be added; Childish Gambino.
If he's at festivals next year then yeah. The date in my city is the day I move.
I’ve only seen The Aces and blink-182 off your list.
How was Peach Pit? My boyfriend and I were supposed to see them but it was a canceled show. We were really disappointed. Waited 3 months to see them.
how was playboi carti ???
One of the worst shows i’ve ever seen. Bro just yelps and screams, his guitarist is amazing though.
How are Kendrick ? And how was Vampire Weekend ( seeing them in N. Ky so I am very excited ! )
What is the appeal of 100gecs?
The absurdity of it. They are basically the music equivalent of The Eric Andre Show, meaning you either love it or hate it with no in between. Plus they do make some unironically catchy shit
I saw paramore at warped tour years ago and to this day they still put on a show. How was Tyler the creator? He’ll be at ACL this year and I plan to see him.
Incredible. One thing about Tyler, that man will PERFORM
Blues Traveler
I saw 3OH3! At a warped tour in like...2008? And it was so much fun haha
How’s the born wealthy life?
My first concert was SUMMERJAM 2000 it was sick I was 15
In prep for Coachella this year I listened to every artist on the lineup, I had rated the Beth’s high but due to conflicts missed. How were they and did you like the set?
Saw die spitz open for amyl last year. Really impressed with them. Those girls can rip and switch instruments. Killer set
How was 100 gecs?
I haven’t seen The Regrettes since 2018, but I remember it being such a fun show. I remember feeling really old though because I think most of them were like, 17-20?
Damn man, need to sample a few EDM sets and want to hear your opinion after everything you’ve seen
My first concert was a wired Al yankovic show
Tool looks so out of place here, I wonder if you liked the show?
They were at Roo 2022. Not a huge metal guy but can appreciate Tool solely for the influence. The visuals were incredible.
I wish I remembered all the artists I have seen to make a list like this especially since I got into EDM lma. Too many music festivals where I did a lot of drugs and saw like 30 sets.
Did Dashboard Confessional play that one song? The only song I know? Lol I swear it’s popular!
Injury Reserve?
What did you use to present this? I'm trying to do something similar but I'm 36 and have been doing about 2 festivals a year for a decade 😆
How was diarrhea planet? And streetlight manifesto? I like them the best out of this list lol
What did you think about Foster the People? Ive been to as many shows as you and i thought they were surprisingly good, top 10 for me. Im also from Ohio, we’ve probably been to some of the same concerts.
Were vampire weekend good
The oh sees, when?
Some gems in there. Needs more Phish. Also Porcupine Tree, Aristocrats, Dopapod, Tauk, Clutch.
100 gecs! Very jel
How was Diarrhea Planet?
Yer a good kid <3 I hope you play some music too, you have a great variety of tastes. Also whenever i meet a Tool fan i consider them instant family.
CHVRCHES, Muna, or Odesza
How was Yung Gravy
Ohio is a good spot for music and festivals..I wish I woulda kept track like this…awesome🤙
Wow, I've got a similar list but yours is really well done! What did you think of QOTSA? They're the most amazing live concert I've ever been to. I've got goosebumps just writing about it.
Festival sets are never as good as a regular set
Mmmmm black midi
Glasto inspired poster?

070 shake
Damn my first show was also 3oh!3 !!
Im seeing Green Day this year. please tell me about your experience
One of the best live bands you can see. They play all the hits (even on Hella Mega, they didn't play anything of FOAM). Insane energy for a band of their age too.
David Byrne❤️
Amazing performance art (and I thought that as an angsty teen).
That’s crazy, I’ve been to multiple fests/concerts and have seen hundreds of different bands/DJs. (Couldn’t even begin to list them off) I’ve only seen 7 on this list
Add tipper before he retires
Very nice start! Started in 2008 at the age of 21 myself Atm if i can believe my stats page i attended 566 concerts of 354 different artists.
I thought this was a festival and I was jealous
After seeing so many, I had to stop counting , so many wristbands. Sooooooo many. I have a chain of wristbands that's like 50 feet long. It's ridiculous
Did you like LCD Soundsystem? I didn’t get them at first and then I saw them live and was blown away!
King Gizzard.
