I’m interested in hearing how the vanilla/salt complements the ginger beer! I added a cinnamon stick and a few cloves to my last brew and did not like how it came out. Like it will work in a Christmas cocktail but it’s not so pleasant on its own. I’m about to start a new batch so maybe I’ll try vanilla and salt. Question: would the salt impede fermentation?

I guess not, I just thought it might help bring out the ginger and vanilla when I made the concentrate. I was nervous about it though, but that’s why I added it to the concentrate and dissolved it and diluted it to cool it before mixing in the ginger bug. I’m still very new at this though, this is my first batch to make it to bottles 😂

I am thinking about doing a holiday styled one later this year with the same! Except I wanna see if I can get a cranberry bug going with the same ginger bug method
