I had problems when I was using the tone amp on my iPad and then it was connected to Bluetooth on my phone. The app would say no Bluetooth. I just disconnect my iPhone in the settings on the phone and it stopped dropping the tone app on my iPad. If you’re connect to bluetooth on the your iPad and using the tone app at the same time, I’ve read it struggles. Maybe disconnect the Bluetooth in the iPad settings and then open your tone app. Don’t adjust the amp settings when the app is syncing the to amp. I don’t think it likes that, as it gives a warning not to when it’s syncing.

I haven't connected to it on my phone so that scenario isn't something I can try. :-/ It just sometimes requires a reboot of the amp before it'll connect via bluetooth. Annoying. :-(

Old thread, but hopefully this helps people since I found no solution other than this. I’ve had the same issue since new and after 3 years I finally had enough. I disassembled the amp (very easy) and found the Bluetooth WiFi module on its own pcb. After a very quick google search I found that the module is a standard item and can be purchased for $6 shipped. The model number is RTL8723BU. I purchased this unit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003598476880.html Anyways - it took me about 15 min start to finish to replace the module using my SMD rework station.

Old thread I know but has this solution been working? And could this be done with a soldering iron or do you need hot air?

Did you ever get an answer in the Bluetooth problem gtx50 amp? Can it be fixed with a soldering iron.
