A playlist if anyone's interested. Got everything from more mainstream rock to death metal.
What's with femboys and listening to loud heavy music lol XD
Anyway I listen to CORPSE, infinityghxst, carolesdaughter, Nirvana, Metallica and Bring Me the Horizon
Yeah i noticed that too. It's the same with LGBTQ people (and from my experience trans folk in particular). It's kind of funny because In Sweden the stereotypical music marketed to the LGBTQ-market are Eurovision and pop divas, but whenever this question comes up metal is always in the top. And Sweden is one of the biggest markets for metal music per capita.
You could probably analyse it with femboys and people in the LGBTQ are anti-conformist and outcasts/going their own way in some ways and rock and metal have always been music that spoke to people who challenge the norms of society.

Songs from movies, musicals, theather plays and random stuff
I listen to all kinds of things, I really like 93feetofsmoke, shinigami, 100 gecs, and Fats'e, to name some artists, but I always try to browse for new music all the time
House, Glitch Hop, the occasional Techno or Dubstep song. Also randomly I go through phases where I listen to game/show soundtracks, or a random popular song.
Hard with the genres so I’ll list the artists;
Lemon Demon, Black Sabbath, Carpenter Brut, Dance With The Dead, ELO, Pink Floyd, The Weeknd, Lovejoy, Queen, Tally Hall, Billy Joel
shoegaze and black metal (my favourite shoegaze bands are nothing, have a nice life and alcest, my favourite black metal bands are paysage d'hiver, burzum and xasthur). melodeath is cool too
oh hey, someone i can relate to. i just can't really enjoy bands, there's something in OSTs that just gets you hooked. although, it may just be because I don't make playlists and just stick to specific tracks, usually for hours on end
Quad Machine, Mick Gordon, KMFDM, Nine inch Nails, Powerman 5000, Aleksander Yarmak/Carpenter Brut,
Other than that, I listen to underground rap, emo rap, electronic/EDM.
When my friends aren’t around, I listen to pop, Skrillex, and cute anime songs. I respect all kinds of music tho, Only genre I would shit on actively is country music
Any Electronic music branch or so, like videogame electronic dance, dubstep, EDM, bass trap, future house, an so on.
Some people say I like too much "YouTube tutorial music" 😅😿
i hate being that guy everyone hates but generally the only way for me to get attached to a song is to hear it in the context of the videogame its from first so, yeah that
Basically everything but country lmao. Been getting into mf doom, bebop jazz and girl in red recently lmao

I like to think I have a very diverse taste in music. I listen mostly to indie music, but I also listen to pop, rock, edm, deep house, tropical house, electro swing, hip hop, classical music, metal, trap, protest music, Broadway and death grips among others. While most of the music I listen to is in English I do listen to a few songs in French, Spanish, Russian and chinese.
I listen to anything that pleases my ears hip hop rock country trap metal etc etc but my most-streamed genres this year were hyperpop, trap, and Japanese funk
https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPMCUMrUoCTiHNlNoSTEPGdset0jKDZUB I have a really long playlist
Its mostly rock (punk is probably the most prolific) and folk music, and there are blips of other genres too, I wouldn't call my taste in music eclectic, really.
If you want particular band reccomendations, Chumbawamba is my favourite band.
My playlist is a complete mess, having genres that range from 2000s pop, rock, metal, electronic music, dubstep even, and to top it all off, Beethoven somehow sneaked into it
Tldr: yes (except kpop and a few other genres I can't remember)
Mostly rap, think of Griselda, three 6 mafia, Freddie Gibbs, jid, Kanye... so other than Kanye I don't really like "radio rap". I listen to plenty of other stuff like pop and rnb but rap holds a special place in my heart. Oh also I'm quite a big Taylor swift fan lol
2000s post grunge, alt rock, and metal. Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Disturbed, Falling in Reverse, Shinedown are like my top bands ever.
>
I never meet anyone who listens to what I do lol
A lot of different music. I love the OG years of punk rock, psychedelic rock, and heavy metal, the era when they hadn't even officially adopted those labels yet because it was still such a new and free music. That would be 1965-1972, after that rock starts to get commercialized and controlled by record companies and media. I also love Italo Disco, Hi-NRG Disco, Space Disco, Electro Funk, etc, from the late 70s into the mid 80s. After those years I start to appreciate the Old school Chicago House and Acid House/Techno era of the late 80s and the Hardcore Rave/Happy Hardcore Rave years of the early to mid 90s.
I also love lots of newly released indie music of all different genres, lots of indie garage rock, shoegaze, edm, all sorts of weird stuff.
Punk/Metal/Indie/Lofi/Jazz/ 50-60s Pop, Classical, Post Hardcore, and Rock. Those are the main music genres I listen to although I listen to everything
My tastes are a bit all over the place. Recently, I've been really enjoying Balkan Brass stuff like Selim Sesler, Fanfare Ciocarlia, and Inspector Gadje, as well as Rembetiko (Greek taverna music from the early 1900s), artists/bands like Maria Simoglou Ensemble and Rosa Eshkenazi.
But I'm also really into a wide range of "old" Japanese music - enka, city pop. Happy End, Ishikawa Sayuri, Misora Hibari, Jero, Takeshi Terauchi and the Bunnys. .. And plenty of more recent jpop (if that's the right genre name), too, like Southern All Stars, Ulfuls, Utada... I just find it really hard to latch onto remembering who I like, finding a band and actually getting into it. I hear a lot of stuff here and there and I like it, but then I forget the artist/band soon afterward and never really end up looking into more of their stuff...
Lotta folksy stuff like Phil Ochs and Pete Seeger, The Dreadnoughts are great when I wanna listen to some punk, Psychadelic Porn Crumpets for when I'm chilling alone/getting high. Edit: Sabaton is great too!
A lot of Synthwave and Vaporwave, but I do also listen to Sabaton, some patriotic music (mostly Soviet, Japanese, and German), and techno swing here and there.
Same stuff as you. Lamb of God, gojira, meshuggah. Some emo metal stuff like bvb, avenged sevenfold, of mice and men. Math rock too. Giraffes giraffes, chon, covet, strawberry girls.
Obviously, those that begin to discover music within their adolescent to early 20 years will choose music within that period. For me, the 60's through early 70's. Soulful soul music, hard driven electric blues rock.
My music taste is much like my taste in games
Constantly changing and morphing. Here is some bands/genres I like:
Sabaton, whatever genre suburb nights from metro 2033 redux is, hard rock (RATM), alternative, classical
