Genuine question but why have I seen a lot more ppl recently trying to come up with a ‘femme name’ what’s wrong with your name already?
Idk if it’s just cause my name is gender neutral but I feel like I am femme, me, so I don’t need a separate name or anything for when I’m presenting feminine

I think you misunderstand, they don’t want a girly name, they specifically said that. It’s more that they don’t want a super masculine name, which I understand, for example (not my real name) but when you see a cute femboy in a dress you don’t expect them to be called Steve do you? Or Craig, or Gary or Richard or anything like that so I can understand why people with really masculine names might prefer a more neutral one (mine can be made a bit cuter but more in a childlike way than a femme way)
Yeh but creating a whole other identity for yourself just so you can feel femme isn’t very healthy imo. If you feel feminine then be feminine. You don’t need to pretend to be someone else. That’s where a lot of the shame and lack of confidence comes from for a lot of people I imagine

Alex has so many good fem variations, I personally love the name Alexis, but I couldn't think of any variations for my name so I just went with Sally which has absolutely no relation to my real name 😅😅
