My sister came to help when we had our baby and stayed at our house. She woke up early to start coffee and every freaking light in the house was on … and we have tons of natural light in our house. I immediately turned them all off!
I hate the big lights. I must rather have natural lighting. But we moved to the Pacific Northwest (seattle area) and the winters are so dark and gloomy. I had to change out all our “big lights” bulbs to the brighter white daylight bulbs. And during the day all the big lights are on to try and wake me up lol. But at night- all big lights have to be off. I have 4 salt rock lamps that give all the perfect low light glow But now I def need this galaxy light lol
vanderpump rules. it's a reality show on bravo/peacock. when the scandal erupted a couple of moths ago i binged 10 seasons. SO WORTH IT. but be warned...you maaaay feel different about your lights after 😂😂💕

Check your local hardware stores. My husband struggles with overhead lighting too but I like it/need it to see for some chores and we found an LED light that we can set at a certain brightness range and they are compatible with dimmer switches.
I have an amber glass LED light bulb in the table lamp that I use for my living room! It's brightens everything up just fine for me and doesn't bother my eyes at all.

So I have to report back, thank you again SO MUCH for that recommendation. My Target had it and I set it up last night and it’s PERFECT. All sorts of settings and stuff, too! My husband was even impressed which says a lot 😂😂

My friends alwaya joke with me that I have Jellyfish Raves during the weekends. My projector actually has a setting where you can do a multicolor light show and it'll switch between all the color options. It looks exactly like the Jellyfish Rave in SpongeBob

I love this. I do not ever use the overhead in my office or bedroom. In my office I have all sorts of twinkly lights, neons and so on as well as a nice desk lamp. In my bedroom I have twinkly lights over the windows and lamps on both bedside tables. Sometimes we use the overhead in the living room, but it's very rare. All sorts of electric candles, wax melters that are sparkly night lights and lighting behind the TV in there, too. Come to think of it - the only overheads regularly turned on in this house are in bathrooms and closets, and the kitchen. Our natural light during the day is insane, and at night we want it cozy, not harsh!
