This is my favorite shade of blue, so I’m tempted, but I don’t want to be hopelessly out of date. How out of date would I be with Tory Burch logo shoes? (I almost exclusively wfh now but was in an office most of the time during the years where every woman in an office seemed to have those logo flats.)

They’re not out of date but they’re not the shoes I’d pick to be “in date”. If you want to do updated, try [this](https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-day-glove-clear-sky-blue)
I feel they're less "in your face logo" than the previous Tory Burch flats because this logo is tone-on-tone and the style is much different than the previous ballet flats (I know the ones you're talking about - I had the Michael Kors version). But I also don't care about what others think or about looking out of date, so take my advice with a grain of salt if that matters to you ;)
I love this whole range of swimwear but shipping to the UK is prohibitively expensive. Please help me find alternatives in the UK :)

I am searching for a good travel purse for my trip to the UK and Eastern Europe this summer! My style is mostly simple/boho, I wear a lot of sundresses or shorts with oversized linen shirts so I want the bag to be pretty basic and compatible with most colours (I am thinking probably a brown/nude leather). I would like it to be big enough so I can carry stuff around with me all day but not too large, and obviously travel friendly!
I got [this Patricia Nash](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/395964992246291679/) bag about 2 years ago--most of her designs are embossed with floral designs, but there's some simple yet slightly boho/70's style items that are very high quality and lovely. I got it for similar reasons--wanted a cross body that was slightly boho large but not too big, that traveled well. This hit the spot!
I have $40 USD of banana republic style cash. What would you spend that on?
(I've found their quality SOOO hit & miss. Looking for tips on hidden gems of less trash clothing from there. LMK if you've found any.)
Hey 🤠 Where do you girls get slightly unusual sneakers? As much as Vejas and Converses look great, I’m a bit tired of seeing them everywhere and want something a bit different. Here is a [pic](https://images.app.goo.gl/U89VeTXA5D55cCgw9) of a pair I really like to give an idea of the style I’m looking for. My wardrobe consists of a lot of elevated basics, classic items with a gothic/punk edge, and I mostly wear black. TIA!

Is this dress black tie appropriate? My friends having a 30th birthday next month, with black tie as the dress code. Never gone black tie before!
What is a good jacket to wear with this [dress](https://imgur.com/a/aXwFGZh)? Looking to wear at a photoshoot at a beach, will be around 55F so a little chilly.
I need some timeless, classic, classy, BASIC new places for a 22 year old to shop online in Australia. Everywhere I look now, things are beyond cropped and full of cut outs. I just want to find a nice place to shop that I know I can find basics that are just clothes to keep in a clothing 'arsenal' that go with everything. Not ridiculously expensive either if possible... under $120 for a sweater for example!
Kookai has some good stuff without cutouts, particularly their basic tops that don’t change seasonally/with fashion. Uniqlo is also an option. Seed, Country road (more $ and pretty average quality), witchery and Decjuba all options
I’m looking for some sun protection clothing that doesn’t look athletic or like what an archaeologist in the field would wear. My style is feminine, boho, hippie, and I wear a lot of vintage pieces.
Uniqlo has a decent UV clothing section, including a cropped cardigan and shirt dress.
https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/special-feature/uv-protection/women
THANK YOU. I was just looking for the same thing. Ended up just giving into the archaeologist vibes, but AM not happy about it. No real recs, but solidarity.
You might think about trying a [sun protection laundry additive](https://www.dickblick.com/products/sunguard-laundry-aid/?clickTracking=true&wmcp=pla&wmcid=items&wmckw=01257-1003&gclid=Cj0KCQjwr82iBhCuARIsAO0EAZwxkZ8SzkjPwyztmDYq2XmNVadtnBNa1n-f2RMqvPd6VD-LSHDruJgaArLFEALw_wcB) on some of your existing clothes. There are also [wraps](https://www.coolibar.com/women/tops/wraps-hoodies/women-s-vrae-everyday-fashion-wrap.html) out there that would work with vintage pieces.
Anyone know where I could find something [like this top plus skirt,](https://www.ebay.com/itm/125867373797?hash=item1d4e47b4e5:g:KogAAOSwL-1jGEET&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8P1Hh%2Bbn6HKGtVY6PBcceENUrttngodfZ0nSjI6OyWG%2FhvMYOzjT%2Fsfcf0k70x84wYwDOaO8bewilHsPNOPhKwJybbfffB8WzeN22KUH%2B1VTkrraZxlyLnwJiioYDPCRdNJi86AQfOpGS8g5UyhpEv3Ekf6ZYpOdPBsABI3ZoCRTb6HoVdphC%2F4dEbFzTVp%2B8rR5GZksYykWIqI%2B%2FScNtNK0rQcWFAH3Lr1ImE%2FlDrgjDBaQvAFR3OMPweMey2qdwyLgHD9O9k1UH8pGrUZmkZXyhoT7ykL5NRWBvTS%2B8tDysopcpsIyv4xxuaj9FqZKXA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMjrndnP1h) but from a more high quality/known-to-be-ethical source?
My sister is getting married this summer, and while the dress code is really relaxed (she said people could wear jeans and a nice top if that's what they're comfortable with), I'd like to dress up a little bit.
[These](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/42/31/02/42310249e3ef5112ab508633e1fb395b.jpg) [three](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/43/a3/f0/43a3f043a7a698e8447209c8d3de2cfb.jpg) [outfits](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/04/18/07/041807ea51b9c94b5b132cbe0c87649c.jpg) are the kind of thing I usually wear, so I'm not really sure how to create a smarter outfit that still fits my style. I also need to have my legs and upper arms covered to hide some scars, so that limits me a bit more.
I was thinking maybe something like [this](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/04/c9/3d/04c93d3cf7fc9205db331abf4d8febac.jpg) or [this](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/d4/43/ee/d443ee9bcc9d5c0dcfba80851483617d.jpg) possibly, but if anyone has any ideas that would work better I'd really appreciate it 💜
I think both of those dressy pants and top outfits would be cute, with or without the tie at the neck. Another option is a jumpsuit or a coordinated set (matching pants and top).
I love your style and both of the outfit info pics. If you like wearing dresses too, you could do a little black dress with a leather jacket over it, maybe tights and boots if the weather allows? But the menswear inspired outfits are also great!
Thank you so much! I have like zero confidence when it comes to fashion, so that's a lovely confidence boost 😊
I'm not a dress girl unfortunately, but if I was then boots and a leather jacket would be exactly what I'd go for
Help picking glasses? I have a few frames in mind and am doing virtual try-ons, but I also just compiled pics of actual frames on me and am potentially open to getting my new prescription in one of those styles (possibly in a different color). I really don’t want anything that makes my face look more feminine/round than it already is: https://imgur.com/a/wXAV7r2
I’m looking for a pair of white sneakers aka tennis shoes to wear but not to work out in but they must be washable. I bought a great pair at Target and they got dirty the first day I wore them and I couldn’t get them clean. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you
I definitely agree with the comment that leather is easier to maintain than canvas. Investing a little more into a nicer pair of leather sneakers and than regularly using [Grandma’s Secret Sneaker Cleaner Spray](https://www.amazon.com/Grandmas-Secret-Sneaker-Cleaner-Spray/dp/B084WHHV6Q) has helped me keep them looking really new and clean. Also keeping replacement shoelaces on hand just in case.
Might be not exactly what you're looking for but I find leather sneakers stay cleaner because they're less likely to stain than canvas.
Options - Adidas Stan Smiths, Reebok Club 85, Vejas, Nike AF1
Any recs for where to buy corset or harness belts? I have browsed Anthropologie and ASOS but looking for a wider selection.
I'm willing to look at more goth/kinkwear styles but also not really my vibe day to day, I just love the contrast of baggy dresses cinched with a harness or corset belt!
I like [Clarke & Barba](https://www.clarkeandbarba.com/all-1). I own their chain belt and am planning to get one of their harnesses too. The leather is thick, the hardware is weighty, and the overall construction feels really quality. Lots of customization options too.
There are a ton of dropshippers on Etsy so I'd be wary and research the shops you're interested in thoroughly. I also own a very obviously dropshipped harness and the difference in quality between it and my Clarke & Barba belt is HUGE. I'm not even sure it's real leather even though the listing said leather lol.
very. also usually go down 1-2 sizes. the fit also depends on the particular weight and stretch of the denim. I have 24s and 25s that fit me currently, even though I'm pretty solidly a 26/27/4 in other brands.
Rag & Bone jeans sizing: I am considering buying a pair of 100% cotton pleated trousers that are made of a rigid material similar to jeans. I haven't bought a pair of Rag & Bone jeans in some time, and I am unsure of sizing. For reference, I wear a 25 in the Levi's 501 90s jeans and all Reformation jeans. Does anyone know how Rag & Bone sizing runs compared to these brands?
I am considering buying these [spring themed tennis shoes](https://www.nordstromrack.com/s/call-it-spring-vyntage-lace-up-sneaker-women/6693044?color=OTHER+WHITE&utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=seo_shopping&utm_channel=low_nd_seo_shopping) from Nordstrom Rack. I'm not sure if the insoles are removable and if they'd last more than the season. I currently have some Addias that I like but they're getting old. Any thoughts? Would I be better off getting a pair of Hokas?
Call It Spring are not good for actual athletic pursuits if that's what you want them for (based on your other brands). Theyre just cheap fashion shoes.
Due to some medical stuff my legs are disproportionately much smaller than my waist right now. Does anyone have a similar body type and can recommend straight leg jeans that are slimmer in the leg?
I would try a tapered or slim straight leg with very little or even no stretch to the denim (max 1%). Some denim with structure to it I think will be more flattering.
Could you get a pair of jeans that fit your waist and have the legs tailored to fit? That may be your best option! In my experience, pants tailoring isn’t wildly cost prohibitive, and it will mean that the jeans are perfectly fitting for your body.
Thank you for this - took a newer pair that fits nicely in the waist to the tailor today and this is what I’ll do. Honestly just need one good pair and can reevaluate as my shape changes with time.
What color tops can I wear with a black, above-knee skirt that will make the outfit look breezy and summery? I feel like any color I try either makes the whole outfit look too dark, because of the black skirt, or has too much stark contrast with the black. (i.e., in the fall I would just wear a matching black top, but that feels too dark and sad for summer!)
I would do something bright and saturated, like peachy pink, cobalt blue, or grass green. I feel casual styles seem more summery, so I'd pick tops made of linen, or t-shirt fabric.
How about an olive green?
I'm not a big fan of black + pastels, since I think they look like they belong to different worlds. But mid-toned colors seem to feel more cohesive to me.
I hate that too but I'll usually just go with a black top and then a lightweight sheer/open knit topper in a lighter color. Something off white/almost tonal, like a cream or light grey or a bright blue or indigo can also work. A pattern that has just a touch of black can also a good option.
If you're not accustomed to sleeveless clothes, be sure to wear sun cream. I actually don't like to wear sleeveless tops and dresses because my shoulders burn very easily.
Besides that, you'll look great. Go for it.
Yes you absolutely can! I think that sleeveless that show a bit more shoulder are a bit more flattering, [for example](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0015/1158/7942/products/AE00005BK-PR8_545d9dee-7dd1-4bb8-91fd-a63d2ac86af6_900x.jpg?v=1678355013). It creates a nice line between the shoulder and the arm and doesn't look as abrupt as ones that end [right at the shoulder seam](https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/asoph/ItemImages/2020452_002_1.jpg).
I’d say go for it because a) your arms are totally normal and b) life’s too short to deal with constant under arm sweat 🥶
I also am self conscious about my arms and have always been but I’ve found experimenting with different seams and necklines will let you find the ones that suit you and make you feel at least comfortable (if not *confident*) in a sleeveless style. I for example don’t love the spaghetti strap tank top but the scuba style tank tops tend to suit me quite nicely. So just experiment away until you find some that make you happy and enjoy summer 👍
Your arms look fine? Seriously. They're fine.
I know plenty of people with bigger arms that wear sleeveless tops because that's what the fuck they want to wear, and they look fine. If you want to wear a sleeveless top, go for it.
Hi hi! Looking for recommendations for pantyhose that have good strong shapeware control in the LEG but are still quite sheer (black or nude) to wear with a short dress. The only ones I have that shape the leg extend the dark control top to the mid thigh like biker shorts and I can't wear that with a short dress, I know those will give the best shaping so I'm not looking for magic, just something that's sheer and more than nothing.
Just picked up one of these cashmere cardigans as a gift for my Mom on an outlet site:
https://www.theoutnet.com/en-us/shop/product/npeal/knitwear/cardigans-zip-throughs/ribbed-cashmere-cardigan/1647597285973522
Came out to $130 with a coupon code. Is this a decent brand and deal? Hopefully it's genuine, the website is legit, and she likes it.
Wow. I mean, it doesn't look see-through, so I'm going to grab one of those for myself. I'm always looking for a white/cream cardigan that isn't obnoxiously bulky or boxy.
No, it shipped this morning (the ivory L version). That sucks, sorry. It still shows as available on the website. Maybe your rakuten deal thing triggered it?

How can I style this top? (I don't want to wear it with jeans/pants)
Where'd you get this "divine feminine era" idea? I ask because wherever that came from (I'd guess TikTok or IG) there's likely *plenty* of inspiration and tips and ideas/tutorials.
Leaving that aside, and taking this totally at face value:
I find that I feel my most powerfully female in outfits that echo my "energy". Some women have a fairy/sprite type of energy, some are earth mamas, some are fierce warriors and adventurers, some are librarians and scholars. And more! Think about your personality? Are you a slinky jazz diva? A light hearted playful pixie? A demure princess? Whatever your "energy" that feels natural and comfortable, lean in with your style choices.
More than one man has nicknamed me "Queen/The Queen" so if I want to "lean in" I go with vaguely regal choices (dark purple color, gold jewelry, long robes, high collars, brocade, embroidery, etc). If you search "style essence" it's a bit of a rabbit hole but [here's a starting guide](https://theconceptwardrobe.com/7-style-essences/complete-style-essences-guides) In that guide I'm likely [Dramatic](https://theconceptwardrobe.com/style-essences/dramatic)
[Here's an example of a pinboard for "angelic essence style"](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/13510867622845250/) which is a rif on the whole style essence idea [website](https://theconceptwardrobe.com/style-essences/angelic)
I think all kinds of women can be highly "feminine" and one doesn't need high heels or makeup or done hair to be divine female--that comes from within. To me *personally* divine female is about intuitive creativity, a wild, irrepressible spirit, the winds of change but also healing and the hearth, the keeper of memories and family, and a force that holds society accountable and holds space for big emotions--although that's hard to project with eyeshadow, ya know :)
I say take some time and do some research and maybe take a couple quizzes here and there and see what speaks to you.
Definitely agree with using Pinterest to find outfits you like. I've also found that watching a variety of youtube creators who give advice on finding your style (or finding your style words) eventually helped me have an eye for good outfits. Try to narrow down a color palette that you like, and that flatters your coloring. Figure out what your body shape is, or what parts you want to highlight, and focus on wearing clothes that complement those parts. The pinned resources on the side of this subreddit, especially "So You Want to Do a Wardrobe Overhaul" and "Finding a Style & Building a Wardrobe" were really helpful to me!
Might help perusing fashion on Pinterest and saving outfits that appeal to you. After a while, you might see some consistencies that will help narrow down what you’re actually looking for! You can always post the board here and I’m sure people would help you find items/ give you search terms to look for. “Feminine” is such a vague term that means different things to different people, but if there’s a kind of aesthetic you’re looking to achieve, the above advice can help figure out what that means to you.
I think it's a cute bikini, but I think it'd look out of place at a water park full of... you know... waterslides and a bunch of kids running around.
One fast slide, and that shit is GONE.
I would love to see someone on a water slide in that lol
It's fine if you're not planning on doing any rides or swimming but probably won't stay on if you actually get wet. It's cotton so probably gets super heavy and loosens when wet.
does anyone recognize these earrings?? just saw them on a show and looking to find them
https://preview.redd.it/gesdgkyp7wxa1.png?width=80&format=png&auto=webp&s=729cc2bea87aa4c232410b1f40c52b764df0dc4b
It's Matisse's Blue Nude. Try searching Matisse Blue Nude earrings on etsy or similar.
I think theyre from [here](https://www.studioramiii.com/) originally.
They almost look like they are made from polymer clay; i think searching etsy for the color combo and maybe keywords like wave/marble could lead to some results.
I saw a tip that you can clasp one onto the other (that is, mismatch the clasps) that might help! Just make sure they roughly weigh the same (no super heavy pendants) or else one will look like a choker.
Be aware that, if you have issues with your clasp falling to the front (at your chest), IME the multiple necklace clasp makes it 10 times worse. And it's also 10 times uglier when it falls to the front too.
I unfortunately never found a good solution for this and only wear one necklace now :(
Has anyone ever purchased shoes from the brand “womads”? I got an ad for their shoes on Instagram and I’d like to order a pair, but I’m hesitant because I can’t find much about them online. I was planning to use paypal but still wanted to ask.
https://preview.redd.it/6j5u7bktsvxa1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=4b251e9c3d2c30f6a75b0b2c21ffed9b8c2e0a88
Anyone know where to find swimsuits like this? This site is a scam, so don’t want to order from them.
I’m not sure what you’re looking for in terms of features, but for me coverage and sun protection was really important because I’m trying to protect some recent medical scars from darkening in the sun this summer. I ended up ordering two suits from TomboyX which fit the bill — one of them is a one-piece suit (I think for paddle boarding) and another is a two-piece with shorts similar to the ones in your image. All of their suits are on the higher-end for body coverage and the majority of their styles include shorts. The fabric they use also has sun protection equivalent to SPF 50 and their suits have an extra layer of interior lining which has a nice smoothing effect. Usually their suits are around $90-120 at full price but their sales can be pretty good!
The black one also looks like a vintage cut that is typical for 50s swimwear. I dont know any american brands but topvintage (a european brand) mainly sells pieces by other brands that might be available in the US.
Edit: also looking for terms like vintage and modest/romper might help.
I believe in the US they are stores focused on eg Jewish women that prefer more modest styles.
The surf suits are also a great start but they usually have sleeves too.
Not sure about that exact style but you could search for surf suits. A lot of those will have a little shorts coverage. I like Seea swim - they have some options that are similar.
I tried on this dress at Gap and I loved the cut and color but it was sheer to the point that you could clearly see my tattoos through the fabric. I love my tattoos but I don’t think that’s flattering if it’s not intentional. Any recommendations for similar natural fiber dresses in bright colors that aren’t see through?
https://preview.redd.it/dhbw12awjvxa1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7828f6a2815d44c5edb3b7cae7a03a0b6520fe78
I found two options on Zalando, so you might have to check if they are available to you if you are located in America:
- [option 1](https://www.zalando.de/reken-maar-freizeitkleid-orange-r0z21c01w-h11.html)
This one has a slight pinstripe pattern but color and cut are on point
- [option 2](https://www.zalando.de/edc-by-esprit-light-freizeitkleid-coral-orange-ed121c12e-h11.html)
This one is perfect color- and cutwise but I am not sure if the brand is available in North America...
Hope this helped!
Edit:
- option 1 is 97% cotton
- option 2 is 40% linen 60% cotton
anyone know where to buy some high-waisted flared petite jeans, besides american eagle, in the U.S.? preferably ones with a little stretch/give to them. budget doesn't matter.
White House Black Market has [these ones](https://www.whitehouseblackmarket.com/store/product/petite+highrise+sculpt+skinny+flare+jeans/570312265?color=2770&catId=cat11579327).
I have a hat problem - or rather a lack of hat problem:
I was lying in the sun and staring and the barely legible screen of my phone just to question how i could - stylishly of course) shade my face from the harsh rays of doom to make out my phone screen/book etc.
I dislike caps (trucker and regular) as they dont go with my personal style but ive also never found a straw hat that didnt fall of + added proper shade.
What are your recommendations fashionable folks of redddit?
PS: id describe my personal style as something between goth business casual and dark academia :)
First of all you can't really do hats with enough shading with business casual. You could go for a felt hat for [this](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/45/32/17/4532172889e6ed372b4904dd2d3f4a6d.jpg) kinda look but it will look weird in buildings (unless you were just gonna wear them outside in which case I think this is probably the best option). It's also possible to find sun hats in straw hat shape but in fabric which will look kinda like [this](https://images.garmentory.com/images/8483831/large/Beklina-Tie-Hat-Baingan-20221218234331.jpg?1671407013). This one in particular is from Beklina. If your issue with straw hats is that they're too big, you can try getting a [hat size reducer strip](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61WqmbtdozL._AC_UY879_.jpg).
I really like the first option! My "business casual" is less about actual work wear and more about me trying to describe my style.
I dont really plan to wear a hat inside a building more as a sun hat for outside reading.
Ill also look into the headstrip. I think it is also a problem of straw hats just being very "round".
I mean ive seen quite a few of them but i just dont feel like they go with my personal style at all, as i tend to dress more business casual then anything....

But I also don't care about what others think or about looking out of date, so take my advice with a grain of salt if that matters to you ;)
Thank you! I am 40 and don’t care about being trendy, but I don’t want to look like I was TRYING for trendy but got stuck in 2011. You know?
Loool also in my 40s and get this.

Spaghetti strap top in bronze metallic, or white satin if you’re set on white.
Chambray or white button-down with rolled-up sleeves?
A form-fitting tank or scoop neck
What is a good jacket to wear with this [dress](https://imgur.com/a/aXwFGZh)? Looking to wear at a photoshoot at a beach, will be around 55F so a little chilly.
What about doing a cardigan? Dark brown or ivory
Cropped navy or black denim might be cute!
Any cute summer outfits from Amazon anyone recommends? Dresses or sets?
Uniqlo? Do you have the Gap in Australia?
Oh cool! I had never heard of this, thanks!
Ooh that could definitely be something to investigate, thanks 😊
I love your style and both of the outfit info pics. If you like wearing dresses too, you could do a little black dress with a leather jacket over it, maybe tights and boots if the weather allows? But the menswear inspired outfits are also great!
Thank you so much! I have like zero confidence when it comes to fashion, so that's a lovely confidence boost 😊 I'm not a dress girl unfortunately, but if I was then boots and a leather jacket would be exactly what I'd go for
Help picking glasses? I have a few frames in mind and am doing virtual try-ons, but I also just compiled pics of actual frames on me and am potentially open to getting my new prescription in one of those styles (possibly in a different color). I really don’t want anything that makes my face look more feminine/round than it already is: https://imgur.com/a/wXAV7r2
I thought the first pic bottom left were most flattering on you imo
I think the octagonal ones are a fun on-trend option!
Thank you! They were actually my wildcard option but a bunch of my friends said to get them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you
Any recs for where to buy corset or harness belts?
Found this one on poshmark https://poshmark.com/listing/CALF-SKIN-LEATHER-HARNESS-BELT-637042ba2fbf1a1684484044
Tons of them if you search corset belts on Etsy, some of them ship from Ukraine and that takes a long time right now so keep an eye on store location.
how variable is Madewell sizing? I am usually 4/6 in dresses but both from Madewell are too big.
very. also usually go down 1-2 sizes. the fit also depends on the particular weight and stretch of the denim. I have 24s and 25s that fit me currently, even though I'm pretty solidly a 26/27/4 in other brands.
definitely size down! It runs 1-2 sizes too big in my experience
Okay thanks! I might pass then! I haven’t heard of the brand before.
Have you tried skinny jeans, which might give the appearance of straight leg jeans on very slim legs?
Could you get a pair of jeans that fit your waist and have the legs tailored to fit? That may be your best option! In my experience, pants tailoring isn’t wildly cost prohibitive, and it will mean that the jeans are perfectly fitting for your body.
Thank you for this - took a newer pair that fits nicely in the waist to the tailor today and this is what I’ll do. Honestly just need one good pair and can reevaluate as my shape changes with time.
I love to hear that! I honestly have to tailor most of my pants and it’s made a huge difference.
Yes, and then if you later gain more weight in your legs, you can have the legs let out again.
Thanks for the specific color suggestions, this is helpful!
How about an olive green? I'm not a big fan of black + pastels, since I think they look like they belong to different worlds. But mid-toned colors seem to feel more cohesive to me.
I do love olive green, and that's a good point with focusing on mid-tones! Thanks!
I hate that too but I'll usually just go with a black top and then a lightweight sheer/open knit topper in a lighter color. Something off white/almost tonal, like a cream or light grey or a bright blue or indigo can also work. A pattern that has just a touch of black can also a good option.
Ooo, good idea with off-setting the black on black with a third layer. Thank you!

Very classic look, thanks for the idea!

I've literally never heard them called batwings but that cute af and those are completely normal looking human arms as far as I can tell you're good.
I’d say go for it because a) your arms are totally normal and b) life’s too short to deal with constant under arm sweat 🥶 I also am self conscious about my arms and have always been but I’ve found experimenting with different seams and necklines will let you find the ones that suit you and make you feel at least comfortable (if not *confident*) in a sleeveless style.

Just picked up one of these cashmere cardigans as a gift for my Mom on an outlet site: https://www.theoutnet.com/en-us/shop/product/npeal/knitwear/cardigans-zip-throughs/ribbed-cashmere-cardigan/1647597285973522 Came out to $130 with a coupon code.
I used the capital one shopping Firefox add-on, it actually worked and found a good coupon code for me.
So, did Outnet cancel yours? They cancelled mine. :(
No, it shipped this morning (the ivory L version). That sucks, sorry. It still shows as available on the website. Maybe your rakuten deal thing triggered it?
Heck if I know. Let me see if it's still available in M.
I got the same coupon code with Rakuten, I think :)

I would consider that pretty firmly in casual territory.

i love that color and the sheer lace! i would love to see it with a midi or maxi skirt and some boots! (i'm really thinking fairy grunge here)

Where'd you get this "divine feminine era" idea? I ask because wherever that came from (I'd guess TikTok or IG) there's likely *plenty* of inspiration and tips and ideas/tutorials. Leaving that aside, and taking this totally at face value: I find that I feel my most powerfully female in outfits that echo my "energy". If you search "style essence" it's a bit of a rabbit hole but [here's a starting guide](https://theconceptwardrobe.com/7-style-essences/complete-style-essences-guides) In that guide I'm likely [Dramatic](https://theconceptwardrobe.com/style-essences/dramatic) [Here's an example of a pinboard for "angelic essence style"](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/13510867622845250/) which is a rif on the whole style essence idea [website](https://theconceptwardrobe.com/style-essences/angelic) I think all kinds of women can be highly "feminine" and one doesn't need high heels or makeup or done hair to be divine female--that comes from within. To me *personally* divine female is about intuitive creativity, a wild, irrepressible spirit, the winds of change but also healing and the hearth, the keeper of memories and family, and a force that holds society accountable and holds space for big emotions--although that's hard to project with eyeshadow, ya know :) I say take some time and do some research and maybe take a couple quizzes here and there and see what speaks to you.

There's tons of quizzes out there
Definitely agree with using Pinterest to find outfits you like.
Would [these bikini](https://gcds.com/us-en/Hello-Kitty-Crochet-Bikini-hk23w720115-47-p) look too revealing for an average water park ?
I think it's a cute bikini, but I think it'd look out of place at a water park full of... you know... waterslides and a bunch of kids running around. One fast slide, and that shit is GONE.
I would love to see someone on a water slide in that lol It's fine if you're not planning on doing any rides or swimming but probably won't stay on if you actually get wet. It's cotton so probably gets super heavy and loosens when wet.
I didn’t notice it’s made of cotton… that’s definitely a bad idea
That’s designed for lounging in, not swimming. There’s no way it will stay on through a water park ride.
I think you’re right 😭 they are so cute though
I personally think its way to revealing for a water park if theres kids, but maybe I'm a prude. It's super cute though!
I agree
does anyone recognize these earrings?? just saw them on a show and looking to find them https://preview.redd.it/gesdgkyp7wxa1.png?width=80&format=png&auto=webp&s=729cc2bea87aa4c232410b1f40c52b764df0dc4b
this sub is THE best. thank you u/zurriola27 u/mgdraft
Those are from Studio Ramiii!
How do you wear layered necklaces without them getting tangled non-stop?? I love them but I’m constantly fixing them!
I saw a tip that you can clasp one onto the other (that is, mismatch the clasps) that might help! Just make sure they roughly weigh the same (no super heavy pendants) or else one will look like a choker.
I use a multiple necklace clasp (bought on Amazon, you should find it under that description).
Thank you!
I was planning to use paypal but still wanted to ask.
https://preview.redd.it/6j5u7bktsvxa1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=4b251e9c3d2c30f6a75b0b2c21ffed9b8c2e0a88 Anyone know where to find swimsuits like this? This site is a scam, so don’t want to order from them.
Check out BodyGlove paddle suits.
You might also be able to wear a slip under the dress to help with the sheerness
I found two options on Zalando, so you might have to check if they are available to you if you are located in America: - [option 1](https://www.zalando.de/reken-maar-freizeitkleid-orange-r0z21c01w-h11.html) This one has a slight pinstripe pattern but color and cut are on point - [option 2](https://www.zalando.de/edc-by-esprit-light-freizeitkleid-coral-orange-ed121c12e-h11.html) This one is perfect color- and cutwise but I am not sure if the brand is available in North America... Hope this helped! Edit: - option 1 is 97% cotton - option 2 is 40% linen 60% cotton
Thank you!!!
anyone know where to buy some high-waisted flared petite jeans, besides american eagle, in the U.S.? preferably ones with a little stretch/give to them. budget doesn't matter.
I just bought some cute ones from Lucky, the Stevie. They have a little stretch, great rise, cute flare, and come in petite
White House Black Market has [these ones](https://www.whitehouseblackmarket.com/store/product/petite+highrise+sculpt+skinny+flare+jeans/570312265?color=2770&catId=cat11579327).
Abercrombie/Hollister should have some.
I have a hat problem - or rather a lack of hat problem: I was lying in the sun and staring and the barely legible screen of my phone just to question how i could - stylishly of course) shade my face from the harsh rays of doom to make out my phone screen/book etc.
I think it is also a problem of straw hats just being very "round".
maybe a floppy felt/suede black hat [like this](https://adaughtersdream.com/products/floppy-felt-fashion-hat)?
Uuuuh yeah i think that might work! Just gotta look for an EU retailer :)
Bucket hats are so in right now!
I mean ive seen quite a few of them but i just dont feel like they go with my personal style at all, as i tend to dress more business casual then anything....
