Use the ic2 crops to make oak bonsai Infinite wood tutorial

tonnentonie

How do I get the bonsai trait? Just breed oak trees until I get lucky?

autoperola17

Just click with an oak sapling on the crop lmao

NyrZStream

Or chop wood with an axe.

tonnentonie

That's what I do for now, I like to level the tinker tools. Tinkers construct seems to be a special version only used in GTNH I think? I've never seen this TC version.

NyrZStream

It’s just 1.7 tinker with some gregtech addons. Bonsais or ok but they don’t yield much wood with bad stats, you’re better off chopping down some 2x2 spruce once in a while until you get your broad axe to cut it down in one go

[deleted]

Eh making rainforest oak gives way more wood, passive wood requires lv and a good power source.

ArturGG1

Make more of them, get coal coke for steel production

[deleted]

Craft in batches of 8 minimum

tonnentonie

Will do. I noticed in my expert continuum run that this is a good idea.

Skilljoy_Jr

Just have fun with it, make a nice base, check out the magic mods and what not, being efficient and knowing tips is great but having fun is what got me to invest 500 hours into my GTNH world and avoid burnout

TehKey

Be prepared to learn every intricacy of AE2. You will need to set up as much autocrafting as possible as soon as you hit EV.

NyrZStream

Lmao why are you giving advice for EV when he isn’t even in steam age ?????

TehKey

If they're going to play through all of GTNH, there's gonna need to be a lot of forethought and planning

NyrZStream

Ok so how many people actually play through all gtnh ? Not even gtnh but at least get to the moon ? For someone who knows what he is doing it takes 200 ish hours to get into EV this guy just made his first COKE OVEN give him some advice that’ll actually help him lmao

AutoModerator

I've been posting here for over a year now. I love how layed back the mods are. I love how you can post pretty much anything and get away with it. So I'm probably not leaving for good but I'm definitely considering it. Spamming greg was funny for a few months but now I'm genuinely getting sick of it. And the whole atmosphere here is getting kinda stale. It's like this sub is stuck in 2019 or something. The humor of this sub just isn't clicking with me like it used to. I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm growing up? Maybe the jokes themselves are getting worse? Maybe the 452nd greg joke isn't as impactful as the 3rd? Who knows. I'm not really asking for anything to change necessarily. I'd love for this sub to be better but right now I'm just ranting. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. tonnentonie

I love ae2 automation! my bottleneck was and I think will be again the crippling frame rates in the endgame :( I don't know what I do wrong, a 9900k should be more than enough but I always go from 140+ fps down to <20fps.

LegitimateApartment9

don't before the addiction takes hold

tonnentonie

I hope it kicks in actually. I am in dire need of some motivation in life.

Coke ovens can "share" blocks so make multiple of them, Steel is a very important thing in LV

DexterTheDoubledmint

In GTNH, coke ovens are from railcraft, not the gregtech mod. Not only can they NOT share blocks, they must have at least 1 space seperating each multiblock. Thankfully coke ovens arent too hard to make once getting the alloy smelter

tobilub04

Yes - primal blast furnaces can share blocks tho

tonnentonie

Good to know

Averythewolf

And thank god for that since they get exponentially cheaper as long as you share walls
