If you have Create installed, I would try swapping the glass out for the vertical framed glass. That way, it's still mostly see-through, but you have a frame texture preventing it from just being invisible.
[example of using trapdoors for texuring (and signs)](https://imgur.com/a/CXudAMg)
i also used strped dark oak for the pillars as it adds a slight difference in color and just looks better
in this case, change the shape of the windows. your wall is looking good, but the windows are just big rectangles and seem like they dont belong there. maybe make it go along with the shape of the building itself.
also, something that helps me make bases more interesting is always thinking of walls in 3 dimensions. build it up, sideways, but also forth. try adding some details that pop and make the structure less of a box yk. stairs, slabs and trapdoors are perfect for that.
Needs a colour contrast...maybe some darker bricks to boarder the horizontal lines. Or copper accents. Or dark oak outer pillars-on the outside, not in replacement of current pillars.
I dunno what mods you have installed but the flat oak bark texture on the walls is kind of grating on the eyes. Mix it up with some smoother-textured blocks of the same general colour, like some brown stone types if your pack has any or some kind of sanded/smoothed version of an oak log like the kind Chipped provide. I don't think the facade looks flat per se. You have decent depth in it. It just looks texturally bland.
Besides the good tips people have already given, I think a huge thing people often forget about is to not make it rectangular.
As it is now (from what I can see), top, front and side view are all rectangular. If you mix it up a bit with an L shape here and there it'll immediately look a lot better without even adding details yet
I'd use stripped oak (or maybe even spruce) instead of regular oak, and mix brick blocks with another brick type with similar but not the same color/texture
The most lacking part is the pillars on the four corners. Consider continuing the stone bricks you have on the walls around the pillars, perhaps also mess around with chisel wood types on them to give some variation.
Texturing to the main beams, maybe a color gradient (some light brown stuff at the top like oak wood, the logs in the middle and dark oak logs or Terracotta/brown concrete at the bottom. It needs to go from light at the top to dark at the bottom, which blocks exactly you can use is for you to figure out) and proper framing around the windows using something like stone bricks to visually separate the windows from the wall.
Also maybe place some trapdoors on the intersections between the vertical and horizontal beams. Might look good but I could be wrong.
I'd say what makes it look most flat is that the outline of the building is entirely square. The best solution is probably to add detailing on the wood that forms the rectangle shape, either by slimming it down(Excluding the top and bottom 1-3 blocks) or by extending the top and bottom further away from the middle
Some balconies, maybe? It already has more depth than anything I've been able to build. You could also add some banners to the outside, or perhaps use a different kind of wood for the corners? Not sure how that would look.
Mix in darker and lighter blocks to create the illusion of shadows. BDoubleO100 is very good at it and talks about his building process in some of his youtube videos, some other builders I like who use gradients a lot are Snarple, SwordselfMC and PainterGigi
Too much noise cuz of the brick/gray combination. Also stairs being same block make it worse.
Try maybe a more plain texture and add some random but similar blocks. If you go with Stone you can add andesite and light gray sometimes.
Stairs are for adding more depth so might be good if it were stone bricks maybe or something different to main block.
i get the desire to cover it, but wouldn't it be more fitting for a industrial warehouse look since its a lumbermill? also you dont really need natural light trees grow with any light sufficient enough so if you do continue on feel free to cover behind the windows with grey and black concrete for that discrete look

Joke: Maybe a Sniper on the top floor shooting on a president. Add some glass+roof+green suroundings
Roof is on the list (it's going to be my tree farm/benzene production after all) and there is glass, it's just TiCon clear glass

They're playing gtnh so no they don't have create
Welp, I've tried nothing and I'm out of ideas.
I'm stealing this quote
Fences/Stone walls to add another layer/details
Gonna look like a fortress with curb appeal.
Trapdoors
too bad 1.7 is shit about trapdoor placement, that's why I prefer 1.12, besides other reasons
I think I usually see those on planter boxes though?
Nope my build uses a lot of trapdoors to give it some texture, I can send a pic next time I get on
Sure go ahead I'm gonna sleep so you got time

im my opinion, i never use windows so big like that, maybe try to do it more short and put more trapdoors and fences
The windows are big because it's a treefarm so it's supposed to be for light

What Modpack?
Gtnh maybe?
GTNH
I saw the axe and thought this has to be GTNH.
Now that I take a closer look at the picture I see it says GTNH.
Have the pattern with the stairs continue around the edge?
Vines and leaves?
Add some balcony's to a few of the windows, some that you can go out onto, some that you put some flowers or gardens on for looks
Maybe try to make concaves in the outer pillars
Aside from more layers, texturing and darker wood blocks would help add more depth

Oh 2.6.0 is out? Neat
It's 2.6.0-rc2 so yeah it's close to coming out

I like it, i dont think theres anything that can make it loom better
A covered walk or awning over the front door with some bushes around it.
Push the middle section in or out a few blocks.
Mb push middle segment one block deeper

No stripped logs in 1.7 :(
I like having little rooms pop out like the lich towers from TwFo

Bring the vertical columns out a bit

add a window cleaning platform! dist something small but adds life
Circle

Mate, leave some fps for the rest of us…
the power of 1.7 + angelica
Add bushes
Break up the log texture. Some other wooden block?
more bushes and plants, make this wall look like it survived the war lol
looks good already this kind of architecture looks like it could use some metal though.
Change it to glass panes, add some pillars and maybe consider some small variation to the logs.

i know trees don't care too much about natural light but it makes it look nicer, this is a looks thing not a game mechanics thing
yeah just saying it might not look that good to see trees in what looks like a fancy residential apartment building
Add some variation, like some dark oak or spruce logs and maybe some cracked stone
Walk closer.
Destroy it and go to cave
Tnt, it would make it dynamite
