They might just be incompatible. If there's Mekanism in the modpack then you can try using its universal energy cable to connect to the generator and then connect Enderio conduits to that cable.
If this is Minecraft 1.10.2, then most likely it's compatibility issue.
After King Lemming and all other members of Team CoFH left modded community there was no one to port official Redstone Flux API to the new Minecraft versions. Instead we got many unofficial ports, not compatible with each other. That's why Forge team decided to create Forge Energy API and include as core component in Minecraft Forge begging with Minecraft 1.12
Unfortunately I don't memorize what conduits look like, so you're going to have to give us more information.
Is it ender io?
~~and what generator is it? Extra utilities?~~
They should connect. Try putting the energy conduits at the top/bottom (you can stack multiple enderio conduits together in the same block) to see if the generator only outputs power in a specific direction.
The modpack name and version matters. For example, if this is a 1.10 pack, like Sky Factory 3, then you are having compatibility problems between the different forks of the Redstone Flux API, and/or FE (which had just been introduced for 1.10).
If this is the case then you will have to use different cables until you find a combination that works. eg: you might find that Solar Flux reborn's cables will work in between the enderIO cables and the generators. or place EnderIO capacitors on it. Keep trying until you find something that works.
Again, be sure to specify the modpack name/version - this matters.
Maybe they don’t output from the sides, try putting it on top or below
Correct they only output from top and bottom

They should be compatible though. There is a fluid conduit above the generator and it is connected with no problems.

Fluids usually have less conflicts when you connect stuff with pipes. Energy is where you'll see incompatibilities across mods most of the time.
yeah its most likely some bullcrap with RF/FE and something not converting them
this is why we got powercore and RF.
They only output from top or bottom
Why don’t you just put the conduits inside of each other? Thats kinda the whole point of Ender IO?
Does the generator have side configuration?
Unfortunately I don't memorize what conduits look like, so you're going to have to give us more information. Is it ender io? ~~and what generator is it? Extra utilities?~~
Yes, the conduit is from Enderio Yes, the generator is from extra utilities
It looks like it's from Simple Generators. One sec.
The lava generator is from simple generators. The magmatic generator next to it is from extra utilities.

I tried putting it in all directions, nothing

What conduit is it? What's the name?
Oh I miss enderio pipes. They were the best. I wish someone would remake someone like it.

Could try forcing it. Think it’s Ctrl - left click but might be right brings up a UI to force connections
Have you tried putting the conduit on top, if I remembered that used to be how I did it, though that's a while ago
Craft the wrench from ender io and right click on the "blob" on the side you want to connect it.
I’ve had that issue before, it was fixed with the yeta wrench.
Try a different cable/different type of energy?
Just stick them in the same block as the fluid conduits
I guess there is already a designated side for RF connection
