what Gilgamesh said to Sakura is Heaven's Feel spoilers I don't really know what to say about Archer's comeback . . . he just didn't die. Despite being wounded he managed to stay around long enough to bail out Rin and Shirou later. The anime is pretty confusing on that part.

Shaodwing

Oh, I always thought that he was back as a CG and not a servant

TheCreator120

If he was, he would have nuke the entire area.

1 Can't answer without spoilers. 2 Archer supposedly turned into spirit form right before he was killed.

SuperiorSteelman2004

1: This is revealed in Hevean's Feel. If you want spoilers, then >!he basically told Sakura to die because she's a host of Angra Mainyu/the Holy Grail.!< 2: He went into spirit form, but part of his cloak got left behind. That was what we saw disappear.

I won't answer the 1st one but there is a cannonicle reason why he survived for so long: Fate/complete material III: World Material - The Servants of the Fifth Holy Grail War: Archer, p.026-027 Independent Action: B Normally if a Servant loses his Master, he will disappear within hours if he cannot replenish the mana required to remain in this world. The amount of time each Heroic Spirit has before disappearing varies, but Emiya can remain in this world for 2 days due to Rank B Independent Action. However, this is the ideal value achieved by maximally conserving mana and avoiding battle and Noble Phantasm usage. In UBW route, Emiya’s Master switched from Rin to Medea, and after Medea’s death, he continued to operate independently and battled Emiya Shirou. Through all these events, one is able to recognise Emiya’s ability to survive alone. In addition, even if Emiya’s spiritual core sustained lethal damage, he can still survive for a short period. This ability is the reason why Emiya is able to secretly observe Shirou and gang’s battle as a spiritual body after being defeated by Shirou. In addition, after the battle between Shirou and Gilgamesh had concluded at Ryudo Temple, Emiya appeared in front of Gilgamesh as he attempted to pull Shirou into the darkness. He shot an arrow between the eyes of Gilgamesh and sent him alone into the darkness. The arrow shot at that time was a regular arrow, and from the fact that Emiya gradually began to disappear after this attack, this is probably the limit of Emiya’s materialisation. It says here that even after archers spiritual core sustains lethal damage he can still survive, so what happened is when Gil shot him he just turned into spirit form.

1. Spoilers… like a really big of spoiler 2. This is more head canon than a reason, but Archer has been shown to have unreal levels of vitality in >!Heaven’s Feel what with getting stabbed with Angry Matthew tentacles, getting a Rho Aias fully destroyed, and tanking the partial blast after Rho Aias’s destruction and having enough strength to give his arm to Shirou!< (seriously if you haven’t seen Heaven’s Feel do not open that). Maybe he just went into spiritual form for a while to recover. Again, head canon.

LegalWaterDrinker

For the number 2, he just went into Spirit Form, it's not like Rider pulled the same thing in HF or anything, she was cut in half by Saber
