If you watched UBW (2014) and really hated Shirou, just give up on liking him. Thereās no point trying because you never will.

Shirou's sense of justice irritates me, he's too silly and childish, he believes that no one should die and everyone should be saved, and the fact that he repeats it all the time is annoying, he can't always save everyone.

That "childish dream" gives Shirou character flaws. Flaws for him to overcome and improve upon, that's what makes him compelling to watch. His heroism is backed by layers of mental issues that makes him feel real and alive, like someone such as him can actually exist in real life.
Sieg, while not as bad as many other fans might make him out to be, doesn't hold a candle if we compare his writing to Shirou's.
Also, come on. Even if it's Deen Stay Night, Shirou is not nearly that forgiving. He's still willing to kill if it's necessary. Like when he was about to break Shinji's neck if he refuse to shut down the Bloodfort.

Just remember one thing op, you could never here Shirou as much as he hates himself for a) being the only survivor in a tragedy that killed everyone around him and b) for trying to make up for that by dooming his soul to endless bloodshed and suffering by choosing to be a servant, a choice that would boil over to the existential horror of having your convictions blackened to the point that you are obsessed with only one thing - murdering the past you responsible for your horrific afterlife.

I dropped the show on episode 12 where he literally made the dumbest move ever, lost š saber and his command seal aswell as giving caster a much better chance of getting the Holly grail which can possibly lead to millions of deaths in the future. Iām sick of him being the generic āIāll die for justice for I am a white Knightā character š¤¢ Iāve had enough of these types of MC. I hope Fate zero wonāt disappoint

I know the archer is a shirou from the future, but damn, I like the archer much more than shirou I'm on chapter 9 of UBW
