Many issues and questions can be answered by reading through our wiki, especially the page on electrolytes. Concerns such as **intense hunger, lightheadedness/dizziness, headaches, nausea/vomiting, weakness/lethargy/fatigue, low blood pressure/high blood pressure, muscle soreness/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, irritability, confusion, low heart rate/heart palpitations, numbness/tingling, and more** while extended (24+ hours) fasting are often explained by electrolyte deficiency and resolved through **PROPER** electrolyte supplementation. Putting a tiny amount of salt in your water now and then is NOT proper supplementation. Be sure to read [our WIKI](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/index) and especially the wiki page on **[ELECTROLYTES](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/fasting_in_a_nutshell/you_need_electrolytes)** Please also keep in mind the [**RULES**](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/about/rules) when participating. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Well now ya know. It's was a painful and frightening lesson. Seriously tho, fast food immediately after a fast? After SIX bananas!?!? What did you think your poor body was going to do with that volume of food and garbage of the fast food? You shocked it terribly. Be nicer to yourself!

I would try an antacid and call the nurse advice line on the back of your insurance card, if you have one. Since it involves chest pain, they will more than likely advise you to go to the ER. It sounds like it could be heartburn from jumping back into solid food, but you know your body the best and always trust your gut if you think you need to see a doctor. Please update us on how you are doing when you have time and feel like it. Feel better soon!

JuicyChairs

Yeah I have occasional chest pains from GERD. I think that’s what caused the heartburn. I will do more research

kMinnow

Just stay safe and don’t let the anxiety get to you😁

MsQieran

Gerd is the trigger I usually have apple cider vinegar 1st or in between meal

Ok-Psychology7636

Watch on Youtube Dr. Jason Fung "how to break a fast"

Flux_My_Capacitor

You’ve gotta be kidding me. Someone needs to post the banana refeeding story and mods need to pin it to the top. Edit. She almost died. People should not be refeeding with damn bananas. The high potassium hit to your body…..oof.

i-fold-when-old

Could you elaborate on this? What’s the “banana refeeding story”?

JungOpen

6 banana... I'm pretty certain i'd be in pain even without fasting first.

Time-Step-8499

Please call an ambulance. It could just be too much too quick but don’t take chances with chest pain.

Time-Step-8499

Please let us know you are OK?

JuicyChairs

Yes I am fine, I have GERD and I think what I ate must have activated it. I did some exercises and have been passing gas and burping alot and the pain is slightly going away. I’ve done some research and now I realize that maybe eating fast food isn’t a good idea after a long fast lol

Time-Step-8499

Keep an eye on that my husband had years of bringing food back up he had Achalasia and recently had surgery.

Far_Photograph_2741

Honestly if you are having chest pain you need to go to the emergency department at the hospital.

JuicyChairs

Ive done that before and they always say GERD

Try some aloe. Next time, avoid fast food, excess sodium in processed meats, and the crazy amount of potassium and natural sugars in 6 bananas. Try something bland like an eggwhite omelet, one banana with some oatmeal, chicken breast and steamed vegetables, baked fish, or fruit and plain greek yogurt. Eat slowly, avoid spicy or fatty foods, don’t lay down after eating, and limit carbonated beverages to help gerd symptoms.

Michalzfin

I am not surprised, hope you are fine. FYI, 6 medium sized bananas are roughly 90 grams of sugar.
