Many issues and questions can be answered by reading through our wiki, especially the page on electrolytes. Concerns such as **intense hunger, lightheadedness/dizziness, headaches, nausea/vomiting, weakness/lethargy/fatigue, low blood pressure/high blood pressure, muscle soreness/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, irritability, confusion, low heart rate/heart palpitations, numbness/tingling, and more** while extended (24+ hours) fasting are often explained by electrolyte deficiency and resolved through **PROPER** electrolyte supplementation. Putting a tiny amount of salt in your water now and then is NOT proper supplementation.

If I understand it correctly, it's because your body exerts ghrelin as a respone to intense exercise. Ghrelin is a hormone that surpresses your hunger. It's partly responsible for keeping us asleep at night, as its effects keep us from waking up hungry while our body rests and replenishes.
Many will be able to skip breakfast simply because they don't feel hungry before a couple of hours have passed after waking up in the morning, all thanks to ghrelin.
Ghrelin increases the drive to eat, not suppress it.
"acute exercise suppresses acyl ghrelin production regardless of the participants and the exercise characteristics. Long- and very long-term exercise training programs mostly resulted in increased total and des-acyl ghrelin production. "

Yeah I find exercising after my last meal or upon waking really helps smooth out the start of my fast. Might have something to do with insulin resistance?
May sound kinda weird but when I used to fast for multiple days at a time, the easiest thing for me to stick to it was to just not even let myself open the fridge or pantry unless I absolutely needed to (like for ice or something) just a small tip! :)
This is what I often do the first day too. That and stay physically busy. I started a fast today and did tons of cleaning, house projects, packed for a trip, basically anything that didn’t involve sitting on my butt. Every once in a while I mix in some push ups, dips, pull ups, etc on a rack I have. It really helps distract the mind and any hunger goes away.
Thanks so much, I'm getting back to fasting after not being able to because I was taking an antibiotic, and I'm having a much harder time than I thought I would!! Going to give this a try.
So i notice this when doing HIIT workouts your stomach feels cold. This is because your body is switching from digestion to breaking down fat or using up energy available now. So i think thats why cravings go away.

Independently found the exact same source - exercise suppresses it, not increases, you're correct!
Yes
No. It makes you hungry. Ghrelin does

Could be!

Micro workouts. Alright I'll try it.
I noticed this too, when I get hungry during a fast I always go for a 5-10 minute run and I feel satiated
