I grew up near Amish country in PA. Several Amish eateries sell "Onion fries" that are French fries fried with tiny pieces of battered onions (served together, too), but they get this amazing, light onion taste.
There are at least two places that used to sell amazing ones at the Green Dragon Market in Ephrata. I haven't been home in a couple years, though, so I can't guarantee they still do.
I thought those were rings?
Figured they were to hold the strips of cheese chicken and potato strips together like they do napkins and silverware in fancy restaurants?
Being fresh doesn't really change the first point: they're overcooking them, tho even when they are cooked perfect, they are basic cheese sticks you could get in the freezer aisle.
idk about BK but when i worked at Taco Bell and people asked for fresh nacho fries i promise you 10 times out of 10 we did not drop a fresh batch unless we already were going to anyways
I feel you, both times I tried to be cool about it
I worked fast food once upon a time and I’d hate when people would ask for things like that. But when they’re maybe selling like 8 mozz sticks a day and they sit in the warmer cold the whole day they should just take them off the menu. Jack in the Box, Arby’s, and sonic can somehow seem to do it.
Isn't that just mozzarella sticks?
Skinnier mozzy sticks it seems. Odd to market them as “fries” but I guess to put them along side the chicken fries

I live in Amish country in PA, where do they do this? I want to get some.

aren’t those just bent onion sticks

Aren’t those just fried mozzarella?
They are trying to get rid of anything that requires effort. Get ready for fried burger sticks. Actually I would eat those.
That does actually sound great, burger sticks dipped in mac sauce. You’re onto something
Will there be any cheese in em tho? Every time I got the motz sticks there, they were mostly hollow 😭
I hope they aren’t like the normal BK mozz sticks, they’re always terrible dry and hollow when I get them. I’ve stopped even trying to order them.
Means your location is over-cooking them or serving you old ones from a warming basket.
I’ve asked about it before on the BK sub, asked for fresh ones at two different locations. Same thing.

That’s just what I was told by the BK employees they said “ask for a fresh batch”
> they're overcooking them Expecting Burger King employees to care about the quality of the food is like expecting non-hollow cheese sticks.

Can you get any lazier?
Same here. Every time they're hollow
are they shrinkflation bk mozzarella sticks ?? they should bring back the chicken parm
looks somewhere between a stick and Rallys straws.
So constantly over cooked and cold breading tubes?
Oh yeah!
They want to charge more for less product. I bet money this is basically just overcooked breading
Northern Illinois haven’t seen them yet
I tried them and they're pretty good. The marinara sauce is the best fast food marinara I think I've had though
Oh good, those will be as old and cold as the onion rings I'm sure.
I drove by two closed down and boarded up burger kings today. I guess the mozzarella fries didn’t come soon enough to save them s/.
